Welcome to Deliverance Church Ngong Road - Karen, we are glad you are here!In this podcast, we'll cover four essential aspects of the Great Commission:1. The Unchanging Message: Discover why the Good News remains constant and why it's so vital.2. The Unchanging Recipient: Understand that our mission is to reach out to the lost, just as it has always been.3. The Urgency of Now: Learn why there's no time to waste in sharing the message of Christ.4. The How: Discover how the Holy Spirit can guide you in employing unique strategies for different situations.Luke 10:2 tells us that the harvest is ready, but the laborers are few. It's time for believers to rise up and obey the Great Commission. We must pray for the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers.Evangelism should be our top priority in the Body of Christ. Our church's vision is to impact lives with the love of Christ, and we're intentional about reaching out, equipping, and making an impact. We'll also share four practical ways to conduct evangelism:1. Praying and Interceding for the Lost: Let's selflessly pray for those who are perishing.2. Being Actively Engaged in Outreach: Think like a salesperson and be deliberate in sharing God's love.3. Financing the Gospel: Discover the importance of supporting outreach activities.4. Using Influence to Protect the Sent: Learn how influential positions can protect missionaries and preserve a nation's morality. In today's world, it's crucial not to be passive about soul-winning. We must be deliberate and prioritize evangelism. We'll also address the unfortunate trend of pushing evangelism to the bottom of priorities in the church. If your gifts, work, passion, or ministry don't lead souls to Christ, it's a waste of resources. We're reminded that God loved us, and that love should drive us to engage in soul-winning. We explore seven reasons why soul-winning is essential, including the sacrifice of Jesus, the value of a soul, the brevity of life, the reality of eternal damnation, and more.Soul-winning is not an option; it's a mandate for every believer. We leave you with an altar call, asking if you're ready to share God's heart and take up the quest to bring joy to heaven.Join us on this journey of faith and obedience to the Great Commission. Rev. Richard Kimani taught us about Embracing God's Transformative CallWe read from the book of Judges 6:1-20- The book of Judges highlights a recurring cycle of Israel's disobedience, suffering, repentance, and God's deliverance.- Our focus today is on Gideon's encounter with God's transformative call.Key Notes 📝1. God's Gracious and Merciful Nature:- Israel's disobedience led to seven years of oppression under Midianites.- Despite their rebellion, God's grace and mercy shine through.- Our challenges don't define God's nature; He seeks to restore and deliver.2. Our Identity vs. God's Perspective:- Gideon's introduction as a "mighty man of valor" seems at odds with his circumstances.- What you call yourself is not what God calls you.- Our identity is rooted in God's perspective, not our shortcomings.3. Equipped for the Task:- God's call is accompanied by His empowerment.- Gideon questioned his ability, but God assured him of His presence.- The God who calls you will also equip you.4. Confronting Laziness and Exploring Giftings:- God's call requires action, not complacency.- Laziness can hinder us from fulfilling God's purpose.- Gideon's story teaches us to explore the giftings God has bestowed upon us.5. Embracing God's View of Our Identity:- Gideon's self-doubt was rooted in his perception of himself.- God's view of us is far greater than we imagine.- What you think you are is not what God thinks you are. What we should do- Embrace your true identity in God's eyes.- Recognize that God's call on your life is accompanied by His provision and empowerment.- Don't let laziness or self-doubt hinder you from stepping into God's purpose.- Explore and utilize the giftings that God has placed within you.Conclusion:- Just as God transformed Gideon's identity and empowered him, He can transform us.- Our response to God's call shapes our destiny and impacts those around us.- Let's leave today with a renewed understanding of God's transformative call and a determination to embrace it fully.#dcngongrd #deliverancechurchngongroad...Our LocationAt Karen roundabout, turn to the Karen-Ngong road. 200m in, take a turn to your right into a marram road just before the signage written Dojo. The power of the blood of Jesus

Without the blood, nothing can exist. For there to be life, there must be blood (Leviticus 17:11). We have the blood of Jesus which is life and we are beneficiaries of it. The blood had provided everything we require for example protection and healing and the authority over the devil. The blood is key for our redemption and our walk with the Lord (Deuteronomy 8:2-3)

Benefits of the blood

  1. The blood of Jesus has power to redeem us (Ephesians 1:7)
  2. Through the blood of Jesus, we have fellowship with God and access to the throne room of God (Hebrews 10:19-22)
  3. Through the blood of Jesus, we have received healing (Isaiah 53:4-5)
  4. Through the blood of Jesus we have protection (Exodus 12:12-14)
  5. Through the blood of Jesus, we have authority over the devil (Revelations 12:10-11)

View Details

This is only a precursor of the end times. This did not happen behind our God's back. We should not fear because we believe God and we can face any situation with the Lord. The Lord has promised to be by our side.

Christ is aware of what is happening in the world and has a solution, because everything was placed under His feet and He was made head over all things for the church. Christ is the answer to all our problems, but we as believers have our share of responsibilities on his Earth. (Matthew 4:13-15) without the church there would be nothing that is pleasant to humanity. We as the salt are the flavor that the world requires.

Without the believers(salt), the Earth would decay. Anyone who believes in Christ, He is capable of transforming them to become variable solutions that mankind faces. We are the condition that the earth requires to be healed and we are the answers to the problem being faced. Our role as believers is important and we need to rise up as the church and take our position.

2 Chronicles 7:13-14

This is a battle because we know as children of God, we must face battles.

  1. We are not alone in this battle. We are with Jesus Christ because he is the one who started it. Jesus Christ has already approved of our battle therefore we cannot loose. He has also confirmed that the church will not loose. (Matthew 16:18)
  2. Jesus has already laid the foundation. We are built upon apostles and prophets thus the foundation is firm and strong. Our faith in Jesus is that foundation that is built upon the foundation of the apostles. (Ephesians 2:19-20)
  3. He finished the battle. We are been reminded that before the cross, we were dead in our own sins but on the day Jesus died, God made us alive in Christ. Christ disarmed all principalities which were against us and made a public spectacle of them and triumphed over them. (Colossians 2: 13-15)
  4. Christ was placed head over everything and he became everything for the church. The church is made up of the believers (you and I) who had been called out from the darkness, dead from our trespasses. Nothing can prevail over us for we are winners. (Ephesians 1:22)
  5. If Christ won the battle, we have also won the battle. We are not of this Earth for we are sojourners. Whatever Christ has conquered on this earth, we have also conquered whatever it is. We are seated with Christ in the heavenly realm far above all principalities and there is nothing that can prevail over us. (Ephesians 2:6)

Romans 8:31 - if God is for us, who then can trespass against us.

Easter Message: How the Death of Jesus Benefited Us

  1. Jesus took our (Baranabus) place and we took his place.  In Him we are the righteousness of God.
  2. Jesus took our curse. When Adam sinned, the earth was cursed to produce thorns. When they gave Jesus the crown of thrones. Gal 3:13. Today we are free from that curse. Everyone that hangs on a tree is cursed. Today you are not cursed but are free.
  3. Jesus clothed you and me. Jesus has clothed us with garment of salvation and a robe of righteousness. At the cross, he covered our shame of nakedness.
  4. The curtain at the temple was torn from.the top to the bottom. this means that heaven was open for humanity.
  5. The curtain at the temple was torn from.the top to the bottom. this means that heaven was open for humanity. We can now enter into His presence. We can enter into the Holy of Holies.

What are the horns that are making you unable to serve the Lord

Four Craftsmen were willing to deal with the four horns that scattered Judah. Isaiah 61:1

HORN 1. POVERTY AND OPPRESSION.

Poverty is a mindset

The poor need good news.

The word of God liberates the mind.

With the word of God liberates the mind.

With the word of God you gain guidance and wisdom.

You are anointed to deal with all these and help others as well.

Luke 4:8

You can break chains of oppression.

Be the oppressor of oppression.

Do not allow the oppression to hinder your joy & praise . Praise should continuously be on your mouth.

Speak out your declarations.

HORN 2. OPPOSITION & DISAPPROVAL

Isaiah 61:2

Favour outrides rejection.

Favour of God is unmerited.

With God's favour upon everything and everyone will accept you.

Proclaim with a loud voice.

HORN 3. LOSS AND DEATH

Isaiah 61:3

Receive comfort and God wraps you in His arms.

He shall pour oil of joy upon.

They may expect you to walk in ashes, God will cloth you with His glory and righteousness.

The garment of heaviness is what enemy puts on us to slow us down from accomplishing our destiny and purpose.

Have a deliberated attitude to praise in the midst.

ITS TAKES FAITH TO PRAISE.

HORN 4. DISTRACTION AND RUINS

Isaiah 61:4

Latter glory greater than the former.

Anointed to repair, to bring solutions.

Declare and decree.

When God says that we shall decree a thing and it shall be established, he means it.

God doesn't lie.

The word is working even if it isn't working in you.

Whatever the word needed to establish has already been established.

We need to mature to the point that God will give the testimony that we are his sons in whom he is well pleased.

The word is result-oriented as there is a change expected to happen in the life of the person who reads it.

Diligence is key when it comes to the activation of God's word in your life..

Our salvation was guaranteed even before the formation of the earth

Though Jesus was born through  virgin, Mary, he is God

Salvation is something very precious to God and he cannot allow the Devil and his demons to belittle the wonderful gift of being born again

If we confess our sins through the precious blood of the lamb, we are then redeemed

But if we doubt the power of the blood and the gift of redemption and being born again then we allow the devil to use us as an instrument for his works

We also need to familiarize ourselves with the scriptures to be able to defeat the devil.

(1st Peter 1:18-19)

(2nd  Corinthians 5:21)

The blood does not only remove sin but cleanses son's effect from our lives

1 John1:7

There is peace in the blood of Jesus

Colossians 1:18-20

There is no enmity between you and the Lord because of the blood of the lamb which provides redemption

Welcome to round 2 of ladies Prayer week. Plug in and see what God has in store. In the miracle service, Apostle Joshua shared about the topic, "5 Graces of a General." He covered 3 in the service and the content is sufficient for the week. The 5 graces are; Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.

Day 1: Pastor

Today we look at the pastoral grace in a General.

Context

This is not the regular pastoral Office with a church and congregation but a grace to serve God's people. Pastors have two symbols; apron and staff. Apron because they prepare meals for God's children and Staff because they are called to give sound instruction. In all we are called to do, we need to go beyond the basics and leave a 'flavor' of Christ. Our assignment is to transform children to kingdom heirs. We should not deal casually with God's children. In the end, the Lord requires an account in every area He entrusted us.

Prayer Points

  1. Homes- Pray for the Lord to raise sisters/ mothers who are diligent in raising disciples for Christ.

-God will also raise you as a 'mother' to those who need instruction.

-God will give us wisdom to respond to every area where God's children are being oppressed

  1. Learning Institutions

-God would raise teachers whose counsel is beyond education but a godly legacy

-God to raise teachers from the altar. Those who revere the Lord and give passionately

  1. Businesses

-God to raise godly business people in our midst who beyond selling goods/ services leave a legacy

-Business people who will finance God's Kingdom (pray for your business to enrol in this category)

  1. Leaders

-God to raise leaders with a pastoral acumen. They care for the sheep not devour. They esteem the well being of their constituents. (Leaders at work, homes, schools, churches, nation, Institutions)

  1. Industries

-God to raise people in every industry/ career with a pastoral heart. A people who esteem propagating the Gospel as they worked more than the money. Media personalities who produce godly content. Matatu industry owners who serve as unto the Lord... Mention the field you desire God to raise people with a pastoral perspective

  1. Self

Lord help me identify an opportunity for my children and I to serve with a pastoral touch. Direct my feet where I am needed to raise disciples for you. Reveal to me how I can use what you have placed in my hands to feed and instruct your people. Show me how to live and leave a legacy for You Lord.

We were so blessed to have Apostle Joshua teach us about The Destiny of the Body; The Housekeeper, The Traveller and the Power Broker.

In the book of 1st Corinthians 12, PETER threw, gathered, collected/cultivated and counted. He started the church. He was a housekeeper, and through that the church grew.

JOHN mended/repairs close to his heart. He did not talk. But when he did it was from listening to the heart of Christ.

PAUL always walking/ travelling. For this the church expanded.

The church cannot be build with monotony but diversity.

In 1st Kings 16 & 17, King Ahab was the housekeeper, Obadiah was the traveller giving messages from Ahab and Elijah, Elijah was a power broker. As much as Elijah was a caveman he was more powerful than King Ahab who looked invincible.

(Nehemiah 10:34)

DO YOU KNOW YOUR CONTRIBUTION & YOUR FAMILY'S TO THE ALTAR/CHURCH?

Where you are called by God, he shall give you the resources. Sources of power and resources are both invisible and visible. Listen to the invisible power don't judge what you see.

Listen to Apostle Joshua is introduce this month's bible week to us.

Today on day on the Bible week. We learnt that the cross existed even in the old testament.

MYSTERY OF THE CROSS In the story of Adam in the garden of Eden his choose of path was like the cross left or right. In the story of Abraham he obeyed God which was a choice of either right or left.

Moses to obey God went to Egypt ( the left side was pharaoh was given time to redeem himself but he disobeyed he word of faith that led to faith) the right side was the Israelites. In the story of David and Goliath two hills and valley it rep the cross david told the Philistines to atop cursing God but that led to their death. In Jericho the cross was there as the Israelites were marching around it each day it was time for the people in Jericho to repent but they didn't. Other stories that represented in Esther's story where the king chose the people of God.

When you obey the Lord and your cross gets bigger and stronger. When you despise the cross the cross departs from but we thank the Lord for the cross. Put your focus on Jesus not yourself.

The Lord introduces the cross to you in small and big visitations. Can he trust you with a small cross to keep on growing it? Are you faithful with he small cross?

Moses was a dictatorial leader to the Israelites, a position that was needed at that time and season but Joshua (Yehoshua), who was democratic leader, told them that they have seen 'what God has done for them, it is their choice to serve him or not but as for him and his house they shall serve the Lord." Are there reproaches done in our lives that we need to let go...? Let Go

We need to have be open and naked before God in order to be circumcised in our thoughts and ways.

This helps us to go to the next level and it graduates us to maturity.

Circumcision brings new beginning, right thinking and right deeds.

Circumcision means deleting failures and wrong old ways of living in order for the "egyptianism" of slavery to be taken away.

When you are set free from slavery the mentality is still there and that's why circumcision is in order.

When free, we don't depend on "handouts" but celebrate more because of victory.

Expose yourself to Jesus for he cares for you. There is a testimony for you for HIS glory.

Preacher: Rev. Richard Kimani teaches us about The Benefits that Jesus Brought to Us. This podcast was recorded in the First service on 3/3/2019

Notes: Deuteronomy 28:1-14. God says, "If you follow my commands, blessings abound" Deut 28:15-28 says "Curses abound if you do not follow my commands." 2 Cor 5:20 says "It is through Christ, knowing him and making confession and declaring outwardly that we are saved.Through his death on the cross, He took away our sin and paid the price. We are no longer under judgement."

3 things that happen when we sin; We are separated from God, Judgment happens and then are ejected from his presence and thus lack and poverty occurs.

Hosea 4:6 says "My people perish for lack of knowledge." If you do not know the law/right, you can miss your mark.

What is the family link that can be termed a generational curse? Do not ignore words that are spoken in your family especially done by our elders. Our link with our forefathers is where the separation should occur. We need to speak a blessing and break the evil words spoken.

Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse himself, for it is written 'Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree' Has the curse been broken through Christ? YES!

Gal 4: 28 says "Now you brothers, like Isaac are Children of promise!" Your presence in your family can bring redemption, by 1st, you declaring, 'I'm not of those ways' then sharing the same revelation and let it manifest.

2 Corinthians 8:9 says "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. Why then do we then keep confessing ancestral curse? Poverty, sickness, lack, weaknesses... If you continue to live in fear, that fear manifests true in your life. You are thus encouraged to speak against all areas that are connected to you generation negatively

So go out there and do your best, break forth into your blessing. God will bless the work of your hands.

In our Bible week's theme; Insights from 1st Samuel,we are looking at the differences between Saul and David. David was spiritual and focused on the things of God unlike Saul, who was carnal. David gained experience privately with reference to 1 st Samuel 22:2 & 2 Samuel 23:8 ,He was a giant maker , he built those who were with him while Saul was a vision killer. Saul exploited his valiant men till they deserted him. 1st Samuel 14:18 Saul had changed his army not to take food , he didn't seek God's counsel. In reference to 2nd Samuel 5:17, David seeks God's counsel and is given a wise strategy to fight his enemies. David had a huge and kind heart. He showed Saul's grandchild kindness by allowing him to eat at his table. Saul was a man full of anger, he nearly killed his son .

Your location doesn't define your success because we are sons of Abraham. God is the one who defines your destiny.

Why did the judgement on Eli's house fall on the entire generation?

1 Samuel 2:22 -31 says.. If one man sins against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sins against the Lord, who shall entreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the Lord would slay them.

To Eli the Lord said, Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house. And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever. The answer lies in Hosea 4:6 (KJV) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

How can a father pass on knowledge to their child if he has rejected that knowledge? It is the lack of that knowledge in both fathers and their children that disqualifies them from posterity in the Lord.

Wisdom is a principle thing. Knowledge is key.

It was knowledge that distinguished Solomon from Adonijah. Even though he was the younger son. 1 king 1:6 Adonijah had not been instructed by his father.

Proverbs 4 : 3-12 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

PRAYER POINTS 1. For Grace to balance our desire for entertainment with our need to get more knowledge. 2. For humility to learn and be taught. 3. For eyes that see and ears that hear.

God created man to be the priest, prophet and king over his family. Sadly, statistics indicate an ever increasing number of men are not measuring up to this high calling. Job sacrificing for the atonement of the sins of his children presents a good example for every man to emulate (Job 1:5). Joshua, another good example, declared with unreserved authority on behalf of his family that, irrespective of the choices others make "As for me and my house, we eill serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15). Let us help our men return to this high calling for the sake of our generation and for posterity.

View Details

In 1st Samuel 3:1-20 The sons of Eli the Priest were a disgrace to the house of Eli. They called God on his sacrifice which displeased him and went even further to defile the women who came to worship. They defiled the church. These two atrocities drove God to punish the children of Eli by declaring they would die. On the other hand (3:1), the young boy Samuel (son Hannah and Elkanah), was brought to the temple at a young age ministered to the Lord yet he did not know the Lord (3:7) Bringing up children in the ways of the Lord is vital in this generation that they may not depart from it in their old age just as Samuel. Samuel knew the sins of his sons but did not refrain them (2:22-23). On the other hand, Eli is aware of the sins of his sons and enquires why they acted as they did. Children are a gift from God and should be brought up in the Lord otherwise they will be the course of dismay for their parents. (Read Proverbs 5:1-4 & Proverbs 22:6) 1. Obeying your parents teaches you to listen like the learned and be keen to the voice of the Lord 2. Obedience will give you long life. (Eph 6:1) 3. Be careful with the people in your life that you those who point you to obedience and in the right direction. The favor of the Lord is like a lazor guiding missile. It will always find you no matter where you are. (Read Proverbs 8:35) How to get the Lord's favor 1. Be born again. The favor of the Lord locates you automatically.

Pastor Steven King'uyu taught us about Discerning The Voice Of God. Elijah, whose name means 'my God is Yahweh' was a prophet of God in the old testament. We are all familiar with the story of Elijah and Jezebel and how Jezebel wanted all the prophets of God dead. When Elijah, in fright, ran to the wilderness, God asked him what he was doing there. Today our focus is on what we are doing here. This doesn't necessarily mean a place but it can mean a situation we are facing. What is our purpose and reason for being where we are today. Is God the reason? The number 40 symbolizes the period of testing and trial. Elijah walked in the wilderness for 40 days and nights towards the mountain of God, where he was able to discern God's voice. He was able to pick out the voice from every event that happened on the mountain, which was a still small voice. The book of John 10 talks about sheep knowing their Shepherd's voice and following him. We cannot discern God's voice until we decide to choose to listen and focus on His voice.

How do you make an effective prayer? 1. pray like a son, pray like a king! Go to prayer with an idea to hear from His voice. Pray like a son not a servant. Begging the Lord makes it feel religious. Declare things to your life. Thank God for the material things because you have them already. Psalm 143:2; Psalm 18:20 2. Pray like Elijah and pray like Jesus Christ. Back up your prayer with the word. Stop dealing with the devil so much in your prayer. 3. Pray like Jabez. 1 chronicles 4:10 Get concerned of other people. Be an intercessor.
