Jesus said that those who are persecuted for doing right will be blessed with the kingdom of heaven. This is a Truth that Jesus mastered throughout his ministry and his life. We are called to do the same. Are you willing to be followers of Jesus? Are you willing to be persecuted for doing right?
Jesus was called to be the "Prince of Peace", because his mission was to show us how to be the "Prince of Peace", by demonstrating right relationship with God, ourselves and other people. In the Seventh beatitude, the sons and daughters of God are called to be "peacemakers". This week, in person and online, Reverend Bonnie Gardner asks "Are you reconciled to be a peacemaker?"
Jesus affirmed that the "pure in heart" will see God. To be "pure in heart," we must become more intimately acquainted with God, purify every aspect of our heart, and open our spiritual eyes. Let us learn how to be "pure in heart," and cultivate the art of seeing God.
In the fifth beatitude, we are being called to be masters of mercy. We are being called to be powerful emissaries of love and forgiveness. We are being called to be more like Jesus. Are you ready to accept God's call?
We are all created to hunger and thirst for that which nourishes and satisfies the body. But there is another aspect of your existence that also hungers and thirsts to be nourished and satisfied. Let us learn how to satisfy that higher aspect of our existence. Let us learn how to hunger and thirst for righteousness.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." Jesus was the epitome of meekness. As we follow his example, let us learn what it means to be meek and inherit the earth. Let us become living expressions of this third beatitude.
When Jesus said, "God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted", he wasn't just referring to grieving the loss of a loved one. Jesus was speaking on a deeper level. Let’s go within to discover and experience the true meaning of this second "beatitude."
As we celebrate our country’s independence, let us cultivate our spiritual independence. Let us begin to heal those aspect of our consciousness that are not totally free. Let us shift from the bondage of this human world and step into the true independence and freedom of God’s spiritual world. Let us learn to live in the consciousness of love.
Jesus was "the stairway between heaven and earth." He was the living expression of God's message to this world. Let us follow Jesus' example. Let us become living expressions of heaven on earth.
When we begin to experience tribulation, limitation, feelings of separation, and illness, it is because we have wandered away from the Father's House. We have become focused on our outer world and not on God. In those situations, we must return to the Father's House. God is waiting to receive you, with open arms.
Until we begin to use our spiritual eyes, we will always worry when we experience trials and tribulation and feel the inner turmoil of limitation, restriction, and separation. Let us learn to see life from a higher perspective. Let us ask God for the "eyes to see."
Imagine what this world would be like if all the people live together as brothers and sisters in Christ. That is what Jesus meant when he commanded us to love one another as we love ourselves. Let us learn to live together as God intended. Let us learn to live as one.
As we pray and meditate in the Presence of God, we begin to strengthen our spiritual power. We learn to release our concerns, in any situation, and call on the Presence of God. We learn to call forth our true power.
Authentic power is rooted in the Word of God. As we speak forth the Word of God, we live more fully in our authentic power. Let us live more fully in our authentic power. Let us learn to use the creative power of the Word of God.
We all have the power to create our world, our inner world. By cultivating our spiritual power, our authentic power, we co-create a more harmonious inner world, which is reflected in our outer world. Let us all learn to cultivate our authentic power to manifest a higher quality of life, inside and out.
Divine Love is a gift, divine law, a healing power, and a choice. As we strengthen our relationship with God, let us learn to demonstrate these four powerful aspects of the love of God.
We are here to become the realization of God’s love, just like Jesus. Let's endeavor to love just for the sake of loving. Let's learn to become powerful demonstrations of the divine love of God.
Jesus came so that we might "have life and have it more abundantly." But what does love have to do with it?

On Palm Sunday, Jesus proclaimed that he is the Messiah by riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. Jesus didn't come to free his followers from the bondage of Rome. He came to demonstrate how to embrace our Christ nature and follow its guidance into spiritual freedom. Let us follow Jesus' example and free ourselves from all bondage and limitation. Let us become living epistles of God's Word.
To develop spiritual wisdom, we must shift from intellectual knowing to spiritual knowing. We must tell the truth, learn the Truth and accept the Truth. As we move deeper into this Lenten season, let us seek to develop and strengthen our spiritual wisdom. Let us learn to become intimate with God.
During this Lenten season, let us accept the thoughts of your Higher Self; release the false thoughts of our lower self; and develop the wisdom to know the difference. Let us learn to hear that "still small voice," that is calling us closer to God.
Exactly one year ago from this Sunday, we examined what it means to put "your all on the alter of sacrifice." Let's revisit that message, which still rings true today. Let us release those things that distract us from hearing and obeying God. Let us reexamine what it means to put our all on the alter of sacrifice.
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that bring forth our weaknesses. In 2 Corinthians 12:7, Paul calls this experience a "thorn in his flesh." During this Lenten season, let us draw closer to God. Let us learn how to live in God's strength when we are weak.
