Christ answered the disciples questions about what will be the signs of his coming and the signs of the end of the age. Now he turns to the question of when these things will happen. The lesson today is simple: As believers we have the be ready.

People in their human nature will exhaust every other resource before they put their faith in God and call upon His name. We all have come to learn that our conditions don't have to be ''desperate'' in order for us to cry out to God, but there is power in a heart that is earnestly praying to God.

How can we live a life worthy of the gospel? How can we live a life that demonstrates its immense value? As believers we have been given a great gift. We have been instructed to guard it, live it and share it. We do not define it, but rather the Gospel of Jesus Christ defines who we are. Victory is brought in our lives as we comprehend Christ! As we embrace the truth, and grasp the truth victory takes root in our lives.
To have victory we have to love God, Love Others, and learn to serve. The hope of our calling is in eternity. The payoff is not always right now. Paul knew how easily the Ephesian Christians could loose that sense of where this is all headed and become discouraged. So this message adds perspective the the battle we fight.

As Christians, we are in a spiritual battle of some sort on a daily basis. In warfare, battles are fought on different fronts, for different reasons, and with varying degrees of intensity. The same is true in spiritual warfare. Our spiritual battles are real, even though we cannot physically see the attacker.
We often wage the wrong war. Today, Pastor Steven teaches us that the real battle is not against the people around us but the enemy who is the evil accuser. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but it is in the heavenly places. As you prepare for battle it is important to engage in the right battle.
