Today our pastors sit down to define what spiritual gifts are, how and when we receive them, and look at a few gifts and how they work in the church.
Pastor Erik shows us through 1 John the true fellowship starts with Jesus and a healthy awareness of our sin and then properly dealing with our sin.
After discussing Heaven for 3 episodes, we turn our conversation to Hell. It's not a popular topic in 21st century culture, but as we say in the episode, if you believe in heaven, you also need to believe in hell. Pastor Lew and Pastor Paul open the scriptures and allow them to answer the easy and difficult questions about the existence of hell.
Before shifting our focus to talk about hell, we take one last session to finalize our thoughts on heaven. We look at a unique passage captured only in Luke 16 and finish by discussing the age to come, the new heaven and new earth described in Revelation 21.
Recently Kevin and Kathy Bruce visited with us and before they returned to the mission field, we were able to capture a conversation with them about their story of serving almost 30 years in the jungles of Ecuador.
