Many people equate nice things (houses, cars, clothes, watches, handbags, etc.) with success.
But materialism is really the antithesis of freedom.
Because most people become slaves to their fancy-looking liabilities.
There is a time and place for nice things (and I certainly enjoy them myself).
But if you buy the nice things prematurely, then you'll be enslaved by them.
You'll no longer be working for the joy of working or working for yourself.
Congrats - you have a new boss: the massive liability you bought prematurely. You now work for the sports car/house/handbag/etc.
This isn't freedom. This is slavery, especially if you don't like what you do for work.
Don't be a slave to your materialistic desires.
How to break free of such desires?
I share how in today's episode ofBuilding Freedom with Jordan Paris.

Fascistbook, Twitter, and other social media platforms run by totalitarian tech betas are becoming increasingly hostile towards our kind, conservatives.
The purge goes on, as conservative accounts are being removed at will.
The censoring and silencing of our voices continues, as relatively small conservative creators like myself continue to have posts and comments removed on grounds of “misinformation” or “bullying” while our profiles are being shadowbanned.
It’s bad, only getting worse, and all of this leaves creators like myself feeling demoralized.
What are we to do? Do we leave these platforms? Where do we go?
The answer isn’t simple.
Nicholas Giordano and I discuss.

This is the most important podcast I've ever done.
Several months ago, one of my clients showed me a viral video of a woman from the former Yugoslavia explaining the tactics that leaders from her country used in their quest for more power.
The result? Genocide, 100K+ people dead, and... well... Yugoslavia no longer exists.
I got in touch with the creator of the video, Katarina Jovanovic via LinkedIn. We had a good little back and forth, and left it at that. I was still hosting my old podcast, Growth Mindset University, so I never thought of having her on my show.
When I started The Jordan Paris Show, Katarina was the first person I thought of to invite on the show. As you'll hear why in this podcast, I viewed having her on to share her story as vitally important to the future viability of the United States.
The only problem was that she was banned from LinkedIn for going against the mainstream covid narrative. So, I didn't know how to reach out to her.
Luckily, my client, who eventually had her on his podcast, was kind enough to give me her email.
Now, here's the finished product. Enjoy and listen carefully.

My guest today describes what we’re dealing with in 2020 as a cult – The Covid Cult – where the leaders are never wrong. Evidence to the contrary doesn’t matter. People outside the cult are subhuman and selfish and are to be ridiculed and shamed. They have propagandic slogans like “follow the science” and “stay home, save lives” and “new normal”…
A few weeks back, a friend sent me a presentation called “The Cult(ure) of Scientific Misdirection”.
Over a period of 20 minutes, the speaker proceeds to utterly destroy (with data) the “stay home, remain terrified, question nothing” narrative being pushed by the mainstream media.
The presentation was a breath of sanity and I believe it is one we all need right now. In addition to this podcast, the presentation is a must-watch. You can check it out on YouTube or (if it gets taken down by YouTube) TomWoods.com/covid. I must say, around the 11-minute mark when he starts showing the charts, I was screaming laughing!
Anyhow, as you may have guessed by the website link above, my guest today is Tom Woods. We discuss the irrefutable evidence behind the fact that lockdowns and mask mandates do not work. Sources are at https://tomwoods.com/covid/.
Tom is the host of The Tom Woods Show and he is the author of 12 books (including a couple of New York Times best-sellers). Tom, quite the scholar, has his bachelor’s in history from Harvard, his master’s in philosophy and Ph.D. from Columbia University.

Being divisive makes you go viral. That fiery soundbite, that hot take, is what gets likes.
Because everyone has an opinion about it and feels the need to comment on it.
If everyone agrees, nobody cares and you don’t get the likes and attention on social media
We’re incentivized with likes to be divisive. Conditioned, even, without our even realizing it. Hate gets clicks.
It’s this that makes me wonder if the invention of social media is a crime against humanity.
Our brains are not meant to handle this. People live their entire lives through a screen, spending hours, or even the majority of their day on their phones. People derive their entire sense of self from their Instagram profiles.
And we’re only in the first 10 years of this worldwide experiment!
Instagram has only been around since 2010. Facebook and Twitter just a few years longer. And look at how our behavior on these platforms has devolved over time and how it is affecting our lives. We're losing friends, sometimes family members, because of our divisive political postings.
We can do better, and we need to do better.

Many corporations, in the name of diversity and inclusion, have race- and gender-based quotas to meet when hiring.
Universities adhere to similar quotas when deciding whether or not to admit students.
These practices do not come without unintended consequences.

One relaxing evening by the pool, I was listening to the music of one of my childhood heroes, Kevin Rudolf. I was jamming out, really feeling his music on a visceral level, head bobbing, and all. I related to the lyrics in a way I couldn’t as a young boy. As I dove deeper into his music, some of which I had never heard before, I was enthralled by how moving, upbeat, and positive his lyrics were. The songs were actually… I hate to use the word because it’s so cliché… inspirational. Kevin Rudolf had created the soundtrack to my life.
In that moment, I thought, “Huh, I should reach out to this guy to interview him on my podcast.” I searched for his email, which was shockingly easy to find, and typed up my proposal to him. I had to talk to Kevin. I wanted this more than I wanted a girlfriend when I was in sixth grade. It was April 1, 2019, over a decade after discovering him, and I wasn’t fooling around. At 6:29 PM, I sent the email (I’ll share my email templates later).
Now, the waiting game. If he didn’t answer, I would follow-up a few more times before letting it be.
At 8:42 PM, I received my reply:
Hey Jordan
Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to do the interview. When are you thinking? I can check the schedule with my manager and we’ll make it work.
Yes! I did it!
I leaped up from my seat with the most child-like excitement I had felt in years, parading through my apartment, yelling, jumping up and down, the whole nine yards. If anyone saw this, they would have thought I just won the Superbowl.
As soon as I calmed down a minute or two later, my good friend Savannah called me. I picked it up.
“Guess what?!?”
“What, Jordan?”
"Kevin Rudolf just agreed to come on the podcast! Remember, Let It Rock?
“No way!”
I shared my excitement with everyone. I texted my little brother, my mom, posted it to Instagram, Facebook, and even LinkedIn. I couldn’t believe it. My journey was, in a way, coming full circle.
Listening to Kevin Rudolf's music with my early generation iPod Touch on the bus on the way to school as an 11-year-old, never in a billion years would I have been able to conceive the thought that I would interview him a decade later for something called a "podcast." Wild.
We recorded that podcast in April of 2019 and it went well.
Recently, Kevin and I met up in Miami to record another podcast and have lunch.
Please, enjoy.

Black Lives Matter (the organization, not the statement) is a sham. It is a Marxist cultural revolution that capitalizes off of black death and funnels millions of dollars to the democratic party. Feeling tired of the extreme virtue-signaling competition happening on social media, I tweeted last week, “I can’t wait until people get tired of cancel culture and the ‘woke’ mob.“
My friend Don Wettrick replied, “I think many, MANY are. It’s just that Twitter pushes them to the top. I would like for people w principles and calm would speak out more. @naval ^ @ZubyMusic come to mind.“
Zuby saw it and retweeted my original tweet with a comment, “Some of us have been for 5+ years.“
A quick look at the comments showed just how many people are sick and tired of the virtue-signaling social justice warriors, cancel culture, and the woke mob.
Yet, very few are speaking out against this because of how vicious social justice warriors are when you oppose them, or have any sort differing opinion (they’ll try to “cancel” you).
I must do a podcast about this, I thought. If people don’t want to follow me or listen to my podcast anymore because of this episode, then so be it. I don’t exactly value people who are a part of cancel culture and the “woke” mob as listeners of my podcast anyway so I could care less if they “cancel” me. Plus, as one listener puts it, “I don’t see how anyone is able to absorb self-improvement info while maintaining a victim mentality which is essentially what creates cancel culture.”
So, I emailed Zuby. He replied 59 minutes later: “Let’s do it.”
We discussed…
Regarding Black Lives Matter, I thought the George Floyd killing was terrible. Everyone agrees on this. However, my first suspicion that something was a bit off with the whole movement was when I realized everyone saying something to the effect of, “If you say silent, you are a racist.” I disagree. Strongly. One virtue-signaler on LinkedIn went so far as to tag me and a few of my podcast guests like Grant Cardone and Mark Manson in a post with our follower counts attached to our names whilst pressuring us to speak out. Seriously. Check it out.
“This is not to shame anyone,” she says, “but I’m simply asking you to say something.” Actually, shaming people is exactly what you are doing, “Whiskey”.
At the time, I planned on staying silent for fear of the woke mob trying to cancel me.
I live as the best person I can be every day, loving everyone. I don’t feel the need to shout from the mountain top about how great and virtuous I am. I don’t feel the need to prove that I am virtuous because I operate through a place of love and kindness every single day and prove it through my actions.
But apparently I’m “part of the problem” for not posting about it. I treat people of all races and genders with respect in real life, I am against racism, and I don’t have to tell people about it on social media. For that, I’m part of the solution.
Anyway, after doing more research about the BLM organization, I see that many of the founders describe themselves as “trained Marxists.” Interesting.
Then, seeing people violently protest in the streets and mindlessly tear down statues of historic figures made me realize these are anarchists who, in the words of one BLM leader in a Fox News interview, “will burn down this system and replace it.” And by the way, socialism is what they really want. Also interesting to note here is the first amendment, which states that the people have a right to peacefully assemble. The first amendment does not include the right to violently assemble. Make no mistake: Those who violently protest in the streets, killing people and looting small businesses in the process, are terrorists.
But I digress. The content in this post and my conversation with Zuby is only the tip of the iceberg regarding the truth behind the Black Lives Matters organization. I encourage you to do your own research about Black Lives Matters. It’s scary.
While I am wholeheartedly for the immutable fact that black lives do matter, I am wholeheartedly against the “Black Lives Matters” organization.

This conversation with Shanda Sumpter changed my life.
For the first half of the episode, she teaches us how to grow a business to 10-figures (which, of course, she has done with. See Heartcore Business.
The rest of the episode, she teaches us how to buy and sell a home using none of your own money.
It was so powerful because it was so actionable, so I had to go back and listen and write down a bunch of notes. There was so much gold I couldn’t keep type fast enough! I would be furiosuly typing away while the audio played, then Shanda would say something else that I wanted to write down and I’d have to pause. It was crazy. See all my takeaways below in the form of scattered and abbreviated notes:
How to grow your business to 10-figures* Empower the right leaders within the company to run different platforms and departments. “Who is the person I need to hire for that?” Shift to being about leadership. * Use Indeed and write ads to the exact person you want to hire. “This is where we want to go.” Share the vision. Articulate it and you will attract good people… + Shanda’s pitch: If you’re addicted to your phone, a workaholic, obsessed with results, and constantly studying your craft. You forgot that you hit your goal because you already are working on the next. If that’s you, keep reading. If not, stop because you will hate this job. * Pay higher on the back end. Incentive ambitious people. You get paid every month for 12 months on one sale. * Sales trainer paid 2% override and for every hire that stays 90 days. * Increase the price point. Package it with how to build email list, business around it, etc. (regarding my business, Trend Up Media) * Incentivize people to pay in full because you can invest that upfront cash in new hires and bigger reach. * Hire a sales manager/trainer to hire and train salespeople. 8-10 sales per salesperson per month minimum. Now I focus on lead gen, marketing, fulfillment/operation * The sales department puts pressure on the marketing department to deliver which then becomes an accountability game for me as an entrepreneur to grow my company. * A sales director that wants to make money that grows the team to X number of people… How do I create the leads for them that are qualified? Reinvent the packages to grow this much bigger. * Quote from Shanda: “People who are saying nobody’s buying right now don’t know how to take a prospect and shape them into a customer. Anyone who knows how to do that knows right now is a great time to be online.”
How to generate life-changing wealth during a down economyPay yourself first – $X per month automatically deposited into a savings account to buy things with.
Think outside the box – Buy properties using none of your own money. Reach out to homeowners and say, “I’ll take over the monthly payment and in two years I’ll have this house off your hands or you can have it back.” Wealth transfers.
Quote from Shanda: “People are trying to work their way to millions and that is ignorance. That is an employee mindset. You don’t work yourself to millions; You leverage yourself to make millions.”
Google “lease option”. It’s rent to own.
If you’re going to rent it, you might as well rent to own it.
Promissory note – A signed document containing a written promise to pay a stated sum to a specified person or the bearer at a specified date or on demand.
Have to be making offers on a regular basis.
Quote from Shanda: “If you are comfortable, you are in a very dangerous position.”
Quote from Shanda: “If you think you’re just going to work for the rest of your life and you are going to make millions and every year is going to be amazing, you are sadly mistaken.”
Quote from Shanda: “If you grow at the level you make money, you are making a mistake. You don’t want to die with an 800 credit score. That’s dumb. You want to use your credit to get access to cash to put money down on marketing campaigns that are working.”
Say, “I buy homes cash. I will take over your house payment.” Put signs out at busy intersections.
Call and make offers. Ask:
Then…
You want to be so well grounded on how to create cash so you never have money be your boss. You have to master money for your life. You can’t ever stop at your capacity for time or money.
Start tracking your time by the hour.
Do you start with a plan at the beginning of the day? Do you know what you are going to produce every hour? What am I going to produce this hour? Did I do it? Yes or no?
Google these:
Don’t be afraid to do other countries. Buy in the UK because your money is worth more.
Ask real estate investment groups, “What are you educating your group on? I want to know in case I come across any deals you guys might want.”
They say, “We like pre-construction real estate”
Go to developers. Say “my buyers want this deal. They want 30% discount on the property. They want this, that, the other thing. Can you create this deal?”
They create the deal.
I bring it back to the investment group and say, “Do you want this deal? My developer said he would do this.”
They say yes. The deal is brokered together and I take a finder’s fee on it.
Questions? Reach out to Shanda on Instagram. She’ll respond.

The market is extremely volatile amid the Coronavirus pandemic. So much uncertainty! Should I sell what I have invested in the market? Should I buy more? Will this be like the Great Depression? What if it takes 20-30 years for the market to get back to where it was?
I asked my friend Jed Collins these questions. He's a Certified Financial Planner and a 7-year NFL veteran.

Reading behavior – the actual process of learning
Detecting deception – one cool trick
Can you tell when someone is lying? If yes, how so?
Do you have a favorite reality TV show you watch to study body language and human behavior?
If you wanted to make a great first impression on someone, (for example, a first date), what would you do?
Developing rapport – one cool trick
Persuasion and influence – two cool tricks

He wanted to do work that he was inspired by and work that inspired others. He had his "ah-ha" moment while stuck in traffic in his car on the way to work when he ran out of podcasts to listen to because nobody was doing a 7-day a week show. JLD said "why not me?" and decided to start Entrepreneurs on Fire where he's interviewed Tony Robbins, Guy Kawasaki, Seth Godin, and Tim Ferriss … and, as they say, the rest is history; he proceeded to engrain himself as one of the best podcasters to ever do it.

When chosen by WWE as a last-minute replacement for an elimination TV show, Celeste Bonin (@CelesteBonin) rolled the dice, packed-up her life, and moved to Tampa to pursue the opportunity. With no persona, no funding and no outfit, she had 48 hours to get it all together and make a name for herself—and that’s exactly what she did, becoming a successful model and professional wrestler.
The confidence Celeste found during her endeavors ultimately inspired her to launch Celestial Bodiez in 2014. With no background in fashion whatsoever, she turned to her determination, previous experiences and true grit to gain a foothold for the brand. Inspired by one of her former WWE outfits, she designed dozens of clothing prototypes until she was satisfied with the outcome—a concept that became the signature “booty scrunch” curve-hugging seam design. Celeste’s creativity and clothing designs are meant to embody the strength and prowess of bold women everywhere, and can be worn from the couch to the gym. Ultimately, the goal is that Celeste’s designs make wearers feel equally comfortable and confident.

How to Use LinkedIn to Grow Your Business, Land the Job, & Make Money
Jeremy Miller discovered entrepreneurship as a vehicle for helping others and building community while also searching for an escape from depression. He was sixteen when he opened his first custom longboard manufacturing business that focused on creating a safe space for young people to talk about life. Although the business closed with a deficit, he was drawn to entrepreneurship because of how positively it impacted his life and how much he was able to impact others. During this time, Jeremy explored and tested the depths of Twitter. In a ten-month period in 2016, Jeremy had organically reached over 100,000,000 impressions. By the age of 18, he took what he learned from his first company and built an advertising agency called Inspired Blue Media with national clients and national press recognition. By 20, Jeremy had helped launch a tech startup and co-founded a 501c3 non-profit.

Garrain Jones (@Garrainjones) dealt with homelessness for 2 ½ years, living out of his car and feeling like he was drowning in misery, as well as being sent to prison for 2 ½ years. Yet, going through both of those difficulties, and more, he found a way to turn his life around. Garrain’s story is a perfect example of how you can go through so many difficult things in life, but that it doesn’t mean you’ll never find success.
In a place of difficulty, Garrain developed the strength to rescue himself. Health and fitness play such a big role in his life because he grew up thinking success was in material things. It wasn’t until he got healthy that he started to feel different. Once he started to feel different he then started to think, speak, and act differently. His actions changed based on how he was feeling. “You can only reach a certain level of happiness when you’re not healthy. There’s no way you can be happy if your heart isn’t healthy!”
6 ½ years after being homeless, Garrain is now a serial entrepreneur who motivates and inspires thousands. The knowledge he gained while being shaped and molded sent him down the pathway to become a Transformation Coach. He is an advocate for living a healthy life, business coach, speaker, and author of the soon-to-be-released book, “Change Your Mindset Change Your Life.”

Miami-based singer/songwriter Judah Holiday delivers a timeless breed of pop music full of infectious melodies and hypnotic beats, a dynamic that makes every track instantly euphoric. On his forthcoming debut LP, that warm and breezy sound serves as a backdrop for his deeply reflective lyrics—and ultimately turns his unflinching honesty into something powerfully life-affirming.
The lead single from Holiday’s debut, “Good Life” brings his nuanced songwriting to a piano-laced and impossibly sunny track sparked from a 2018 stint in rehab. Co-produced and co-written by Kevin Rudolf (episode 91), “Good Life” brilliantly counters the bleakness of rehab with the brightness of sobriety—a contrast brought boldly to life in the song’s riveting video.

Tom Kuegler is a full-time vlogger, but it wasn't always this way. After graduating college and doing 20 job interviews, he got sick of trying to convince corporate America he was worth anything--so he started freelancing. Nine months after he started freelancing he began contributing to big sites like the Huffington Post and made enough money to go on a 5-month solo road trip across America. He visited 24 new states, lived in San Francisco for 2 months, and then came back home and started blogging about the lessons he learned. A year later he had 10,000 followers on Medium, started selling online courses, and said goodbye to freelancing entirely. A year after that, a video he made for Facebook went viral and received 3,000,000 views in 2 weeks. He's made 7 videos with 1,000,000+ views so far. Tom now has over 200,000 likes on his Facebook page, lives in the Philippines mostly making new vlogs, selling his courses, writing on Medium, and helping others achieve social media success and find their story.

Chance Galloway interviewed me at my home recently, and I talked about exactly how I play the long game to get in touch with hard to reach people and book them on my show. I’ve used the strategies I talk about here to book some incredible guests thus far, and I’ll use the same strategies to book Tony Robbins, Donald Trump, Mike Posner, Guy Kawasaki, and Seth Godin.
I also talked about why you need to ditch your Instagram and Facebook efforts and put all of your energy into LinkedIn if you want to grow your business and brand in 2019.

In 2014, I bought a 2014 Mustang Convertible and I thought that would do it for me.
3 years ago, I thought I would be happy when I finally bought that new Porsche Boxster S.
I kept falling for illusions of happiness.
Do you have "Once I get X" Syndrome?
I did.
Many of us fall for the illusion that we will be happy when we achieve/do/get something.
But what's the antidote?
The antidote is to strive joyfully.
The antidote is to honor your process.
The antidote is to trust your process.
The antidote is to fall in #love with the journey and not the destination.
The antidote is to express gratitude for the accomplishments, people, and things that are already in your life.
Literally meditate on these things.
This is your life. Fall in love with it.

We're protein-aholics.
We stress getting protein into our systems way to much.
We're pouring these protein powders down our throats on top of the copious amounts of meat we consume.
The amount of protein our bodies are being forced to handle today is simply unprecedented. People did not have these supplements thousands or years ago or even 100 years ago.
On top of that, the whey protein that we consume boosts Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1), which, yes, helps us to build muscles after going to the gym...
but...
Higher IGF1 also decreases longevity.

Can you imagine putting in the work to graduate from Harvard University AND Yale University business schools?
Well, my friend Tiffany Pham did exactly that, then went on to teach herself how to code, eventually creating Mogul, the largest online platform for women to connect with over 18 million users per week worldwide. She's only 31.
While reading her book, one chapter stuck out to me: "Accelerate Your Success with the RIght Partner." Being a hopeless romantic, I was curious! We talked about...
Gary Vaynerchuk hit the nail on the head for me saying that when he met his wife, it actually did wonders for his headspace.
What do you think? Should we just keep our heads down and stay focused OR should we be open the beings the universe sends our way, knowing that we may cherish them and they may give us the headspace to truly go far in our lives?

Dawn Watson was born into a religious cult in Brazil that believed in order to spread the love of god, you need to express your devotion through sexual acts. From the age of six, Dawn experienced sexual and emotional abuse. Dawn questioned these beliefs from an early age and when she turned 13, she decided to run away and begin her journey in search of healing from the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual abuses she suffered as a child.
In 2014, Dawn went to Tony Robbins' Date With Destiny, where she found the courage to break the silence and share the truth about her life for the first time. This was how she was able to liberate herself from pain and come back to love. Tony's intervention with Dawn was featured in the Netflix Documentary I Am Not Your Guru.
Today, she is certified by the Robbins-Madanes Center for Strategic Intervention and helps individuals in the process of redefining their deepest pains through lectures, immersions, online courses, and content on social media.
Since Dawn went to Date With Destiny, she has inspired people worldwide with her story. She always receives messages from people from all over the world saying how her story has helped them find ways to recycle pain and live in their truth.
She has been giving lectures and teaching courses around Brazil, guiding people on their path of forgiveness and explaining how they can transform pain into power.

In honor of Mark Metry's story being featured in Forbes last week, we're bringing back this conversation with Mark from episode 36.
"Once I get that thing, then I'll be happy."
We know better than to fall for this trap, but we're absolutely CONVINCED that one thing is going to do it for us.
We know this is a fallacy that many others have fallen for... But we "know" it will be different for us. It's going to fix everything.
After Mark Metry hit it big on YouTube with 35K subs and owning the #1 Minecraft server in the world at age 15 (yes, Minecraft), he still wasn't happy even with the inflow of cash these ventures provided.
It took learning from the sour fruits of success - complacency, disillusionment, arrogance - to set the framework for the rest of his life.
And look at him now: Mark hosts the Humans 2.0 Podcast which has been top 100 on iTunes and he's the benevolent dictator of LinkedIn!

In anticipation of Patrick Natili (@PatSoIcey, episode #38) returning to the podcast next week, we've queued up this throwback clip!
I asked a silly question on the podcast: Is the search for meaning a meaningless search?
And the answer is no, it is absolutely not meaningless.
"Life can't always be enjoyed, so you have to find and attribute meaning to your trials and tribulations and figure out how that contributes to your longitudinal happiness." - Patrick Natili (click to tweet)
It's just that in the good times we don't need our meaning or purpose at the forefront of our thoughts.
In this way, meaning is much like the practice of meditation. We feel the need to meditate more in the difficult times than when things are going perfectly.
Meditation, in tough times, is like a life jacket keeping us afloat, protecting us from drowning in our negative thoughts.
Meaning, in tough times, is as vital as a life jacket when we are drowning in water.
Without it, we will never be able to endure challenges.
Without meaning, we will never stay afloat in a sea of disease, heartbreak, financial troubles, etc.
Has your meaning/purpose kept you going through the toughest of times?

Learning objectives: 1) How to grow your business, brand, and social following. 2) How to do $100k in book pre-order sales. 3) How to get booked to speak. 4) How to get featured in mainstream media 5) How to utilize FB groups for your business. 6) How to get a verification badge on social media.
Vin Clancy is one of the most infamous marketers in the world, known for his cutting-edge growth hacks and genius business ideas. (He also looks awesome).
His growth hacking book raised over $100,000 in pre-orders, which he supported with a 100-date speaking tour in ten countries around the world. He has spoken in over 40 different cities in ten different countries. He has been featured in publications like Fortune, Buzzfeed, The Daily Telegraph, The New Statesman, Wired, Vice, Inc., and many more, and coaches founders to growth hack their own businesses. (He hates boring people in business, which is, frankly, most people in his field. But he is very polite as he is English).
His talks at conferences and events around the world focus on marketing, sales, social media, and writing. (But they aren’t a “sit down and daydream” affair like most talks, people have legit called them life-changing. He has a wall of tweets and private messages of stunned attendees)
His "growth hacking in real time" talk was voted best talk at SXSW V2V in Las Vegas. (The more experienced speakers hated him for this, he was the punk kid in tight pants and great hair who made a mockery of their “serious” presentations, completely by accident).
He founded the online magazines Planetivy.com & https://screenrobot.com/, which received nearly 20 million pageviews with zero marketing spend in their first two years, while content he has overseen for other clients has received over 150 million page views so far.
His current online magazine is a Facebook group, Traffic and Copy, which has over 10,000 members, close to 90% active engagement, and contributions from thousands of entrepreneurs.
Right now Vincent teaches company founders, influencers, and marketing managers how to grow their companies through a combination of rapid social media growth, and guerrilla community management tactics, in his private coaching groups, and through consulting with Marketing executives.
He speaks truth to the many lies internet marketers tell, and is the most entertaining marketer in the world right now ;)
His new book: “Ace The Game: The 100 best growth hacks in the world right now” made $10,000 in it’s first hour of release and is the most important marketing and business book of 2018. Grab it at Http://acethegame.com

Craving = suffering. To stop suffering, stop craving. To stop craving, experience reality as is and with clarity... but how do we do that? This simple Buddhist practice answers that.
It is estimated that 81% of Americans want to write a book and even feel they have a book in them. That’s about 263.8 million people [1].
Of those 263.8 million, only 45,300 are published authors [2], which is 0.00017%.
This 12-minute clip explains exactly how to become a part of the 0.00017% that actually follows through on what they say they are going to do (and do it quickly).

Education has popped up in conversation with many guests on the podcast, so this is a "Best Of" episode that highlights the best excerpts on this topic from the past few months.
Tuition prices are going through the roof while the value of a degree is plummeting.
Friends of mine are graduating with finance degrees and getting serving jobs. And if they do get a job, it's a dead-end one where they end up miserable.
I have never understood the concept of working your tail off doing pointless busy-work all in the hopes of getting a job where the people that currently have that job are unhappy with it.
This is bad enough, but what makes it worse is the fact that what we're learning is archaic. We're learning about newspaper print ads, inventory carrying costs, categories of equipment based service, and the degree of the angle at which a ladder leans against a wall. Archaic, irrelevant, silly.
What about the psychology of investing (Tony Robbins), how not to split the difference in a negotiation (Christopher Voss), why we should start with why in terms of branding, marketing, and communication (Simon Sinek), how to network, hold a conversation, and make people like you (Vanessa Van Edwards) ... why aren't we learning the important, relevant stuff?
The nail in the coffin is that I would never take any sort of life advice from 90% of my professors.
I want to make it clear I am not blaming the professors. It is the system. It seems that many classes are under strict regulation as to what they must do, which ends up being McGraw-Hill Education generic notes, Mcgraw Hill homework and quizzes that you can just click through without paying attention and still get an A on, test questions with an emphasis on rote memorization auto-generated by Mcgraw Hill's question bank which are then auto-graded with scantrons. The teacher has essentially been removed from the equation, and we all go to Mcgraw Hill University. I would love to see these teachers unleashed, spread their wings, and see what they can really do.

Kintsukuroi (golden repair) is a Japanese method of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with either gold, silver, or platinum. When pottery breaks, the Japanese don't just render it useless and throw it away as Americans would. Instead, they see breakage as something that adds to the history, value, beauty, and uniqueness of an object. It's not something they try to hide, as they make the filled-in cracks noticeably shiny.
In the same way, we as humans should not be rendered useless when we break (and we all do). Sadly, some are not aware of the high power this concept wields, and this is why we have suicides. When we break, it is not permanent. We must trust that adversity is what makes us unique. We must trust that it is adding to our history, value, and overall beauty.
But Everyone Else Is Perfect Though ...
According to who? According to themselves on Instagram and Facebook? That's a bit like asking a cigarette manufacturer to provide evidence that their products are safe to use, which is exactly what happened from the 1930s until the 1950s. At a time when there was no internet to find out otherwise and when solely placing trust in the hands of physicians regarding health was the norm, cigarette manufacturers provided evidence to physicians claiming cigarettes were not harmful. The manufacturers even went so far as to feature physicians in their ads to brainwash the public. Below are some headlines of ads featuring physicians from newspapers.
❖ “Not One Single Case of Throat Irritation Due to Smoking Camels”
❖ “More Doctors Smoke Camels Than Any Other Cigarette”
❖ “Give Your Throat a Vacation… Smoke a FRESH Cigarette”
❖ “20,679 Physicians Say ‘Luckies’ Are Less Irritating”
❖ “Science Discovered It… You Can Prove It”
❖ “NOW… 10 Months Scientific Evidence for Chesterfield”
❖ “Just What the Doctor Ordered”
❖ “Chesterfield Best for You”
❖ “Why Physicians Call Our New Brand “A HEALTH CIGAR”
Do you really believe that stuff? Well, the American public did for more than twenty years until they finally caught on. Now everyone knows cigarettes cause fatal lung cancer and all sorts of negative health externalities.
In a similar fashion, people post Instagram pictures and Facebook status updates to show and tell everyone how amazing their life is even though many of them are depressed. This creates a skewed image of the world. It creates delusion. If you want to believe in that skewed image, be delusional, and put the pressure on yourself to be as “perfect” as everyone else, then feel free. I’m not stopping you. It may be an endless pursuit that results in misery, however.
Just as the American public caught on to cigarettes being unhealthy, I think we are beginning to catch on to the façade that others put up. I think we are beginning to realize that peoples' lives aren't as perfect as they hype it up to be. I hope I'm right about this.

Dave Sanderson was a top sales producer in every company he worked for and on January 15th, 2009 was on a business trip he had made hundreds of times before. Like all of us when we travel, things are often routine, and we take things for granted. Then out of the blue something happens that changes what was once routine to a day that changes your life.
When US Airways Flight 1549, or “The Miracle on the Hudson” ditched into the Hudson River on January 15, 2009, Dave Sanderson not only survived the “crash” but also started to realize that the moments that made up his life prepared him for what was about to happen.
After the incident, the lessons and strategies that he learned throughout his life were instrumental that day and the days following. He started to realize that one can actually grow from traumatic life experiences and set out on a path to not only share the lessons from that day but practical and implementable strategies anyone can use.

For the first time in a long time, I’m seeing an uptick in real measurables in my life and business..but it didn't come without a prolonged period of stagnation.
My website traffic has multiplied by six already in 2018, after a full year of no growth. The SEO scores on all my websites and even my client’s websites have multiplied at an unprecedented level in just the past three weeks. My income has multiplied by four compared to last year. My podcast audience has doubled and almost tripled every month since its inception on April 17.
I’m going to stay the course, but continue to evolve along the way. These podcasts are only going to get better, more valuable, and more actionable. The road to get here today hasn’t been easy, but I didn’t expect it to be. I make a promise to myself every day, that no matter how tough the process gets … I won’t quit. I’m not stopping. I’m not going away anytime soon.
Can't stop won't stop,

Wake up. Read or watch the news. Check your phone. Fill up on emergencies, favors asked, terrorism, arrests, suicides, murders, wars, and the like.
Then go about your day and see how miserable you are.
This is how you make a cake with cement. It won’t taste good. When you fill up with garbage, your life will be garbage.
OR
Wake up (perhaps 20 minutes earlier). Read 15 pages of a good book. Listen to an uplifting podcast. Learn something new. Fill up on knowledge, insight, strategy, purpose, joy, excitement, and zest.
Then go about your day and see how happy you are.
This is how you make a cake with, well, sugar and flour, the way a cake is supposed to be made. When you fill up with sweets, your life will be sweet.
It’s all about the ingredients here, which is precisely what you'll learn in episode 26 of Growth Mindset University.

He also battled homelessness, as his mother was a drug addict and his father was sentenced to 40 years in prison. However, he overcame this adversity, transcending himself from a drug dealer who has been shot at hundreds of times to a hope dealer making the world a better place through love and unity.
Even through all these hardships, he says most things in life are a choice, and that you can take control of your life with the power of decisions.

Today, in the 16th edition of the show, Chance Galloway talks to Jordan Paris about providing value to your family, friends, and peers alike. Jordan reveals his 8 real and practical ways to make an impact immediately. These impact practices (impractices?) are sure to gain influence as well as leave you feeling fulfilled at the end of the day.
Jordan even argues that giving is selfish since giving makes us feel good. In the classic book by Shel Silverstein, The Giving Tree, the tree gives up everything to make the boy in the story happy. The boy was on the receiving end of a lifetime of gifts, while The Giving Tree gave a lifetime of gifts to the boy. Yet, the boy, the receiver, ended up miserable, and the tree, the giver, ended up content.
In this powerful episode, the lesson is simple:
Live to learn. Grow to give.

Don’t just hustle for the sake of hustling; hustle intelligently by doing things that add meaning to your life as well as others’ lives because hustle isn’t worth anything if it's done working at a restaurant for years on end.
Focus on what matters, focus on the meaning, seek your truth, and design your life with that truth.
Hey everybody, Jordan here. I wanted to share a profound statement from my reading of "Man's Search for Meaning" that hit me quite hard. If you're going through hardship or struggle right now, then this one is especially for you.
Enjoy, and know life is expecting something else from you, even if you do not expect anything more from life.

There's more than meets the eye when Gucci Mane tweets "Invest in yourself" every few months. It looks good, and it sounds good, but what does it actually mean?
The guys dive into the art of investing, breaking it down into three categories:
1)Monetary investments - Many have negative feelings attached to "making money," but the truth is that money is simply a magnifier of who you already are (if you are generous, you will have more to be generous with), as well as an enabler (reach more people, treat your friends, etc.). So, Jordan teaches you how to grow your bank account by 22% (passively) THIS YEAR with two investing tools he uses.
2)Investments of the mind - Accumulate wealth of the mind with a commitment to constant and never-ending improvement through reading and podcasts!
3)Investments in health - Eat right. Train. Respect your body. Self-love and self-care are NOT selfish

Chance and Jordan talk about the negative impacts of social media on individuals and society as a whole. They reveal some alarming statistics on the specifics of how the lives of teens have been affected since the release of the iPhone in 2007, including:
-The percentage of teens who EVER go out on dates has fallen about 15%.
-The number of times teenagers hang out with their friends per week had been relatively steady for about 30 years. Since 2007, these numbers are down about 16%.
-The percentage of 12th graders who drive has fallen 5% since 2007.
Before 2007, the percentage of high schoolers who felt lonely or left out has been steadily decreasing for nearly 20 years. Since 2007, these percentages have sharply increased (about 10%).
-The percentage of high schoolers who don't get enough sleep had been falling for about 6 years until 2007. Since 2007, these numbers have increased over 5%.

In the latest episode of the Growth Mindset University podcast, Jordan and Chance talk about what they learned from Simon Sinek's book, Start With Why. They discuss clarity, purpose, values, and how to communicate in a way that inspires and attracts followers.
“Humans hunt for love. We feel that we need that love because we believe we don’t have love, because we don’t love ourselves. We hunt for love in other humans just like us, expecting to get love from them when these humans are in the same condition as we are. They don’t love themselves either, so how much love can we get from them? We merely create a bigger need that isn’t real; we keep hunting and hunting, but in the wrong place, because other humans don’t have the love we need.”
Motivation is external. Motivation is fleeting; it comes and goes. Motivation pushes people to do things. Doing what motivates us doesn't always leave us fulfilled at the end of the day.
Inspiration is internal. It's a feeling deep down inside someone. Inspiration is sustainable. Inspiration acts as a gravitational pull that moves people closer to their goals. Doing what inspires us leaves us fulfilled.
Look at it this way: People are often MOTIVATED by money. Nobody says their INSPIRED by money. That wouldn't make sense. Money doesn't inspire people with a deep down feeling and it doesn't give someone a sense of fulfillment. Money is just a motivator for people.
So, we must stop and think: Is what I'm after motivating me or inspiring me?
