A teenage girl leaves her one-traffic-light town and heads for Jackson, Mississippi, with nothing but a guitar and passion for music. A young drummer left without a band suddenly gets his chance to perform in front of thousands of screaming fans. A global rock icon is convinced to hang out at a local Jackson dive, only to be punched in the mouth for his trouble. These are just a few of the many stories within the story of a criminally undocumented place and time in the history of modern music. In the Usry Network's new six-part audio docuseries, hear how three ambitious kids created a scene, a business and a community, ushering in talented artists and unforgettable performances.
