Join Gary, Jonathan Hanson, and John Wayne McCalister as they walk through their encounters with the Leviathan, Python, and Jezebel spirits. How to identify which spirit is in operation, when they are working together, and how to overcome them.John 10:10 tells us the enemy comes to steal your hope so he can kill your dreams and destroy you and your family. But, Jesus came to give you life abundantly! We are dealing with familiar spirits and mental illness, and we must learn how to battle both.
Power of words in a marriage/home:Proverbs 18:21 Life and death are in the tongue, God spoke, life happened, Jesus speaks, life happens, you speak, life happens… or death. The enemy wants to use your words to destroy - God wants to use your words to create and to bring life.Matthew 12:36 says that we shall give an account of every idle word on the day of judgment. All of our idle words will be judged at that time. We should not think that after gossiping there is no further problem, for the Lord has said that our idle words will be judged. In Matthew 12:36, the term "idle" refers to words that are frivolous, meaningless, or spoken without purpose or thoughtfulness. These are words that are not productive or beneficial and may even be harmful or damaging. Jesus is cautioning against speaking carelessly or thoughtlessly, emphasizing the importance of the words we choose to utter. The verse underscores the accountability we have for our speech. It suggests that even seemingly insignificant or casual words will be subject to judgment. This highlights the seriousness with which Jesus viewed the power of words and the responsibility that comes with using them. Therefore, the admonition is to be mindful of our speech, to speak with intentionality and integrity, and to refrain from engaging in gossip, slander, or any form of communication that does not reflect the values of love, truth, and compassion.

What is your role in the fight against porn and our young people getting addicted at age 10 on average? We desperately need fathers and mothers who will step up and love a generation into truth and light. There is a righteous anger stirring up that can defeat this onslaught from the enemy - and it comes through discipleship and prayer. A really good place to start to learn the stories of the people around you. You can never find the compassion you need to minister until you know the story of how they got there... people need us, and we need people. It comes down to, whether are you willing to do the work to get to healing. And, are you asking the right questions to get to freedom?
Lisa-Marie - "Men who are addicted to porn, are not good lovers!"God created marriage, it was one of His first ideas, and He gave us everything we needed to be successful in life, in parenting, in work, and marriage. We are Spiritual beings, trying to learn how to become human; we need to get back to the Garden of Eden in our marriages. The big question is, how do we live in the heart of our marriages? It's okay if you are in your late 30s or 40s or... God gave us the manual of how to defeat porn, and how to have a stonkin marriage! We are diving deep into this podcast on a therapeutic practice that will scare you, and just may save your addiction to porn and your marriage!
When you feel betrayed do you turn into a researcher that can lead you into more darkness or do you turn to trust? Can we live a transparent life, where we are in full freedom as man and wife, girlfriend and boyfriend, as people? Does your spouse have full access to your phone, computer, or life? If not, you need to grow up! Could this be the shaking of the sacredness of covenant, and how do we live in that space? And, can you build trust in your partner's life? The cycle of madness... how do we break it?! Women didn't break you, they don't have to fix you...!
20 million women are affected every day by this addiction - just like cocaine, video games, etc. This is a human issue! How does Porn affect your partner? What a man thinks in his heart... And, what's the difference between getting caught and confession? Do you have the balls to confess, what is your plan for healing, and is your spouse worth it? What is the fallout of pornography, and what is the proof? We have had so many men kill themselves these past decade or so, that it would be like the population of Atlanta wiped off the earth, just men! What's the answer, what is the hope?
With a secular world, and a "Christian" world only interested in building their little empires and not peace or "Shalom," why are we shocked when our leaders fall from grace, why are we shocked by marriages falling apart, families, culture, and society as a whole? Who's fault is it? Could it be ours?? If you have any counterfeits in your life, you are missing the real thing... and, the real thing is so good! www.fightthenewdrug.org
Join us as we walk through the science, the effects, and the fruit of porn; we are being targeted as humans - it does not care about your faith, your ethnicity, how much money you make or don't make, or what generation you're from, it is an assault on all of humanity. Where does it start, and how do get free from pornography?
How do you parent adult children, and how do you know when to trust the process? Join Gary and Lisa as they walk through breaking fear in your family. The opposite of fear is rest; garyandlisablack.com
Are you a Defender of the Character of God?! What does Mark 4:22 mean?In the parable of the sower (Mark 4:1–9), the "seed" is Jesus' parables. His parables contain truths that until this time have been hidden. Some of those truths include who the Messiah is, what the Messiah has come to do, and how God plans to save His people. With the coming of Jesus' ministry, it is time to uncover those secrets. As we are watching one of my other mentors fall to sexual sin and idolatry, I have to ask the Father what is it that will stop this. His answer was; “Never circumvent the journey, never circumvent the pain as it’s your greatest teacher. Make sure and embrace every season of your life because you’re working out your salvation. When you cut a corner, your character does not catch up with your anointing, or your authority.
Join Gary and John as they discuss the difficult realities of life, and how we navigate them. We want to walk away from independence, and codependence, and walk into interdependence, leaning on one another. How do generational blessings work?
A good sign you are part of a cult or a religious organization that thinks they are not, here are some good signs to watch for:1. Extreme Authoritarianism2. Exclusivism - we have the answer and everyone else is wrong.3. Separate and Control - Usually they remove the Prophets and the Fathers first.4. Isolation - There is a big difference between Isolation and Solitude. What are some ways to be and stay healthy:1. Apostolic Teams - Teams of men and women that are activated in their gift, and serving one another by speaking the truth in love with boldness and humility.2. Every member is activated and a participant when you gather. No pew sitters.3. Study the truth with Holy Spirit, and stop taking other people's word for it.4. Not building your own little empire, and start believing your own press. What are some unhealthy or healthy ways of leadership that you have encountered?
Join Gary and Lisa as they wade through what we do when we find ourselves in a cult when we think it's a "Christian" organization, why is end-time teaching filling the Church with fear instead of hope, and how do we respond when leaders fall? The Old Covenant was "Abstinence" and The New Covenant is "Indulgence" We indulge in the Spirit of God, drink it all in, and live fully alive! And, we serve the widow and the orphan! James 1:27
Join Gary and John as they discuss the latest mega leader that was just exposed, and discuss why men fall. Are you living with a "Hidden" heart? If you are, it's time to reveal what is hidden and get to healing. God is exposing Nations, the Church, and the false doctrine of Dispensationalism, and He is exposing Individuals. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."Numbers 32:23 says, “Be sure your sin will find you out”
Is it true that men just want to be respected, and women just want men to see and understand their hearts? Join Lisa and Gary as they discuss intimacy in marriage, how women can learn to compartmentalize, and how men and women can rule their emotions. Is "Financial intimacy," important, and what's the difference between tithing and sowing, how do we give as a couple?!
Malachi 4:5-6 only happens if we LISTEN to one another. To tell young people they are to be seen and not heard, or I am your elder, just do what I tell you to do, doesn't work. We know "Honor" and "Elders" and, what other words have become bad to the next generation. Why? Partly because we have abused these titles, and overstepped, and... we have a very sensitive generation, that is triggered very easily.
Is God good all the time? Is he good when are suffering or being persecuted, or our bills aren't paid, or... join Lisa and Gary as they discuss the musts in the Kingdom of God!

Join Gary and Lisa as they discuss the myths that we carry into marriage, and how we overcome them again, and again.
Lisa gives us practical steps on how we can have a good marriage, one that thrives and one that others want. Forgiveness is a good place to start.
How are you looking at your marriage, especially when it's hard? Are you under a contract that you can get out of, or did God give you a covenant, that can sustain and overcome anything? In your business, ministry, relationships, and projects; you are either building an empire for yourself, under a contractual mindset, or you are building something for the Kingdom, for others, with a covenant-making God.

Knowing the signs of the times and how then to live has to be the most pressing challenge facing any life. Because here’s the full extent of the Issachar question:
What is…
... the nature of the world in which we are living? (Fear, frozen, lack of hope/faith)
... the challenge(s) of our generation? (Sacrifice, generosity, believe in who you are)
... the status of the epic struggle between right and wrong, instead of life and death? (Religion kills faith, life breeds life)
… the direction this culture headed? (What do you see?)
… the nature of the world’s great crisis? (But God…)
And then from that, a second question:
How should we then live? How do we live a life of meaning, consequence, impact, and influence for the cause of Christ and the generation?
How should the church/ministry take its place in the vanguard of cultural engagement and missional force?
Do you see the challenge of the men of Issachar?
To know the signs of the times and how to then live?
You should.
Now more than ever.
There is a generation waiting for you to break family curses, step into your family's generational blessing, and see the world turned upside-down... the right way!
We are entering a season of hope. But, that hope doesn't come without a price, and that price is you. If you are a parent, you must break the cycle of fear in your family, how? Stepping out of it yourself! If you are a young person, it's your time! Time to step past your fear, step past your depression, and step into the responsibility of serving your generation.
It's simply a new day.

You know that Lisa and I are all about any of the generation breaking the barriers of just going to Church and giving their lives to something much bigger than themselves!
Meet Shannon Clark; she is in her early 30's and has stepped out in faith to see a generation rise to a new STANDARD - Thestandardmovement.com
Isaiah 59:19 "The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in... LIKE A FLOOD, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
(We have read that verse wrong our whole lives, the enemy doesn't come in like a flood, our FATHER does, and HE will lift a standard against him!)
Listen as we discuss a multigenerational movement that will transform a new generation - and, bring heaven to earth!!
God gives us the opportunity to tap into the supernatural realm every day. As a body-a soul-and a spirit, (And of course HEART), we have the ability to keep trauma from lodging in our soul realm and transferring the trauma to our spirits where Jesus can manage the trauma, absorbing the damage and more.
Learn how to navigate trauma through this life-changing teaching, and join us for a supernatural prayer at the end!!
What if, by pushing past your fear, you can eventually overcome it, and live life fully to enjoy the experiences you'd otherwise have missed?
Well, in "Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway", Susan Jeffers shows us that fear is not a real obstacle. All of us experience fear, and there are a range of tools and techniques we can use to take concrete action in spite of it.
From Monday's social media post, a little follow-up;
Hey guys can I just encourage you? Do not sell yourself out on the institutional church, it’s a place to go and be fed and that’s it. Do not sell yourself on revival, no revival has ever lasted post generationally, do not sell yourself on reformation, it’s amazing but it doesn’t bring complete change; sell yourself on Jesus, and him transforming your life through pain, period.
A deeper dive into the heart; Do you live with a hidden, hard, or closed heart? How do we live with an open heart??
There is a war over your "Mental-Health". There is a war over your life, your marriage, your children and children's, children - you are in a war and you MUST fight!
Walk with us into some discipleship on how to become self-sufficient in Christ, and how to break free from depression, suicide, anxiety, and repeated therapy and programs... let's talk about taking your own life back so you can take others through healing!
You are the only one that can decide to take your mental-health back, and you are not alone.
As Lisa and I continue to dive into the hearts of the next generation, we are deeply concerned with the amount of therapy, programs, medications, etc. that seem to be the excessive norm.
Make sure and hear our hearts; we are all for therapy and even medication when it is done professionally and for a specific purpose. We have both gone through and believe in God-given therapy. And, we are all for meds when prescribed correctly and for a season of time.
The concern is the "Empire" training that we see in much of the therapy out there, (meaning therapists that are trained to keep you stuck or coming back for more and more), and, the "Bandages" we put on our pain instead of learning to own it, learn from it and allowing the pain to transform us into a healed warrior.
It is important to deal with past issues and wounds, it is even more important to know how to allow what has happened to us to become such a part of our healing story that we transform every life around us... as coaches, we want to see your marriage, your singleness, your hearts look like the garden of Eden.
You have been victimized, and, you are not a victim! Transformed people, transform people.
Part-2 - Emotions and Spirit - How to war for your mental health!
Now, husbands, you ready? He says a lot less to us, but it is very potent! 7 Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered. Husbands, you need to understand this woman that you married; your wife should be walking around saying, “Wow, this guy really knows me, he really understands my heart, he really knows who I am. And, just like Peter did with the wives, he is going to clue us in on something that he knows is true of every women heart; Husbands, you have to embrace your God-given calling to live with your wife in a way that creates in her a feeling that she’s understood… by you.
Husbands your wife lives with this question, “Is my heart safe, will I be seen and cared for?” And, that question will never go away. Just like us, they bring this question into every area of life, and just like us, only God can answer, we cannot.
Unhealthy women will chase love to get that answered… she will bring this question to you as her husband, over and over and over, and you get to honor her, not fix her; honoring her means caring for that question in your wife's soul.
..He is also saying that your respect as a wife has spiritual power toward your husband… Every man, every husband that has lived has this one question in his heart, “AM I RESPECTABLE?” That question will never go away, never; and, in our unhealthy soul as men, we bring that question to our marriage, our jobs, our sexuality, to our fathers, to our ability to provide, even sports.
Biblical submissions is only about caring for that question in your husband’s soul, that is all submission is about. It’s not about power, decision making, about who gets their way, etc, Peter is saying to you as a wife that your husband has this broken part of his soul that has to do with respect, there is this unanswered question that he has been caring around, and when you care for that brokenness in his soul, it leads him to God, it helps him find Jesus, and that is the ultimate point of marriage.
You have been taught this portion of scripture, probably by insecure men in the pulpit; listen and find out who Peter was talking to and the context of what he meant by "Ladies, subject yourselves, submit to your man"
It's not what you have been told!
Peter spends six scriptures admonishing these women who were married to "Unsaved" probably abusive husbands, and one scripture talking to the men; that all they knew in their Roman context. Jesus disciples Peter to honor and respect women, not degrade them...

On a misty and rainy morning in Cleveland Georgia, and on his birthday week; And, all I want is more of the Fathers Heart.
The "Church" has very loud 'Souls' and the 'Spirit' of the generation is very quiet.
2 Timothy 1:1-18 The way to develop the next generation Lord, help me to pass on the baton to the next generation – to pray for them, love them, believe in them, minister to them, encourage them, entrust them and share with them.
All of us can have spiritual children.
In Act 3:2 the whole world was turned upside down! The Romans, the enemy believed they had won, and Jesus of Nazareth we dead and gone forever!!
Then Peter and John walked up to the cripple and said, "Do you see me?!!"
My question for you is, "Do you see yourself?!"
We need to get down on the floor with our toddlers, we need to see what our middle schoolers are seeing, and we need to release our teenagers into the hands of the Father and watch them grow...
"Spirit of fear" Lisa Black asks, are we inviting a "Spirit of Fear" into our homes and lives of our children?
Jesus loved and respected the influence of His own mother and the influence of her words actually started His public ministry.
John 2:1 - 12
My definition of Mother, is any woman who loves a child when that child needs to be loved-
-a “Mother” is a woman who focuses on the needs of a child before their own wants and needs.
-The Spirit of Mothering- this can be a part of our journey when we physically bring a child into the world with our bodies
This is also evident with-foster moms, step moms, and adoptive moms. These women are absolutely real mothers, in fact, they made a choice to love a child under the most intense circumstances, they did it when they didn’t have to...
It takes big balls to be a woman - Lisa Black
Infancy, and early days of fostering, adopting, and step-parenting, the challenges and joys are abundant! Wisdom about bringing balance and expectations about the first stages of Motherhood.
And, how can we as men come along side and make this season amazing?!
Spirit of mothering, is the nurturing, unconditional love that is unique to the Spirit of mothering, you do not have to ever carry a baby in your womb or give birth to carry the Spirit of mothering,
Stepmothers, adoptive mothers, the woman in the neighborhood that watches over all the children as carefully as they do their own ...the Go-Go of Africa, are some of the greatest mothers I have ever seen.
Deborah means honey bee-
Women will bring the sweet things of the Lord,
Honey bees work together in unity (women will work together to bring forth love, and unity and the sweet things of the Spirit)
The men of Israel came to Deborah not because she was a woman but because she was a judge and a prophetess.
-speak words of righteous discernment
-Speak words of justice
-gracious words
I am not sweet, I am kind
I am not weak, I am nurturing.
THE BEGINNING-THE GARDEN
Why does Satan hate women so much? -our power lies in -our beauty -our natural ability to nurture -our ability to carry life and sustain life -our sensitivity to God, to the Spirit
-Satan despises our influence over men, if we are giving life and they are receiving it...he is defeated all the way around
HE HATES OUR SEED!!
God raises up women, mothers, and it is time for women to wake up and rise up!!! To take their place in history to fight for the next generation of children and remind them of who they are and who they belong to.
Show me a real mother who is not also a warrior!
With all that is going on, we need some hope!
Have you ever questioned why the Church teaches us to fear our future; that this thing called life is coming to a tragic horrible end; tribulation, destruction, 666?
What if this new teaching, (Only been around since the late 1800's), is false? What if the scripture actually says something completely different than what you have been told about your future on Sunday morning in almost every Church in America??
Don't take our word for it... listen here and go and study for yourself!
We have more players than leaders in males, they are not equipped for manhood and they focus on momentary pleasure vs. true fulfillment.
Fear of failure paralyzes males, if they think they are going to fail, they will often not even try. And, fear of success cripples many boys!
Fatherless men relate to women as mothers and sisters not as wives and lovers, because they have not seen an example of a husband,
Men conquer their fears not control or Lord over the vulnerable.
-fathers teach men to provide for their families, which is a place of fulfillment for men, and security for women and children.
-fathers teach men to fight for their promises and fight for their dreams….like the woman of their dreams (Song of Solomon) - is the story of a man’s pursuit even when the woman has to stimulate his need to fight to pursue her.
-fathers help others find their true identity. Speaking truth in love; Say the hard things and are not afraid to confront!
Children are all asking who am I, especially as they hit puberty and beyond, mothers nurture, Fathers call onward and upward.
Answer: God makes up the difference if we want it!!
The Malachi-mandate
The Malachi Mandate is the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the sons and sons to their fathers. God reveals Himself as Abba; this is just not a stoic term for father, but Daddy. And He calls us sons and daughters; He calls us into being a family. When we act like a family, we are displaying our relationship the way God intended. He’s looking for a place of safety and grace.
What is the Malachi Mandate? “For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the LORD of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the LORD of hosts. “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel. “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.”
3 Malachi 4 (The English Standard Version) This is not optional, it’s a must to stay the curse (lest I come and…). Ps. 133 says how beautiful is it when brothers and sisters dwell in unity; it commands a blessing. He’s doing it! We’re seeing; in an evil and depraved generation where sons and fathers are at odds, God is releasing the spirit of Elijah that will turn the hearts of the sons and fathers to each other. God is desiring a generation where mothers/fathers and sons/daughters know who they are and their hearts are turned to one another in love and honor. God has long been a God of generations working together and telling of His works in the kingdom. He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments. Psalm 78:5-7
*We need our fathers to come back underneath the family and hold them up, bringing security to women and children (the vulnerable ones
The word Abba (father) - means source, sustainer, nourishing, foundation
To be a father you have to be the source of something, God is a true Father because he does not just produce, he sustains,
God is a man’s Source and man is God’s resource.
Men are a reflection of the Kingdom on earth.
When God created Adam, God gave the male all the instructions, THEN he created the female, He did not go to the soil to create the woman,
He went into the male and created a being that had a womb/ we are called WOMB-Man,

Together they have raised 6-children, lost a 19-year-old son, filed bankruptcy, made and raised millions, and have lived in Africa and Spain.
Married 20-years as of 2020, they talk "All things Marriage!"
One thing that has changed my life, and many others, is what you point to at the end of your paragraph "It's not living on earth waiting to get to Heaven, but it's bringing Heaven to earth now as you live each day here". This really is transformational in how we understand the point of Christianity!
You say it wasn't necessarily what you were taught growing up and neither was I or most people we encounter. For most people, the Gospel is very focused on forgiveness of sins via Jesus's death. This can narrow our lens to only see one aspect of why Jesus came. For most people, the Bad News is that Sin separates us from God and the Good News (Gospel) is that Jesus died for our sins. While this is true and wonderful and we affirm that - we often ask our students this question:
If 'Jesus died for your sins' is the good news or Gospel, then what was the Gospel Jesus was preaching or what was the Gospel his disciples were preaching while he was alive?
Think about that for a second because the question is not a small or trivial one. The Bible tells us that Jesus came Preaching the Gospel - (Mark 1:14, Matt 4:23, Matt 9:35, etc)
It occurred to me one day that the Gospel I was preaching, mainly "Jesus died for your sins" was radically different than what He preached and how he preached it since he was not dead yet.
So what was he preaching? Matt 4:23 Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the [a]gospel of the kingdom
This distinction may seem small at first, but for us, it changes everything.
How do we communicate to the next generation, and how do we live from an open-heart moment-to-moment, day-by-day - how do we live an experiential Christianity that is not boring?!!
Learning to live in the present moment is totally fundamental to living in the whole heart. Most of us instead live life according to our schedule, or through our imaginations or thinking about all that we have to do, in the next two hours, or thinking about what we should have done an hour ago… living this old way ruins any possibility of living in the heart.
The superior things that transpire in God’s Kingdom, however, is because God alone is superior and he does superior things, not because his servants are superior… As Paul rightly says, “We have this treasure of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus in the jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us”.
Most of us end up majoring in the “Mind” of the heart and abandoning the loves, the talents, the interests, the trusts, and the experiences of the full heart.
Out of many years of living with a shrunken heart, relationship styles with others are developed to become seriously unhealthy and self-protecting and damaging. The essence of these relationships are characterized by having one option in them; unhealthy relationships have only a single choice in relationships with other people.
On the other hand, healthy relationships have options; in-fact the essence of a healthy relationship is that it has more than one option. It has three options; A healthy relationship is dynamic, changeable and real. In every conflict that arises, in every discussion, we engage in, and every activity that we share with someone else, we can do these three things if we are healthy and have a healthy relationship. 1. We can submit to that other person. 2. We can resist that other person’s agenda and replace it with our own agenda. 3. We can separate from that other person.
Why our Christianity doesn’t work: Three very important reasons why our Christian life doesn’t work; (Need you to have a receptive heart to HS right now - what I am about to say you will want to reject, immediately)
The first reason most of us cannot live in our hearts is that we are religious people.
Very hard for us to hear; you are a religious person, I promise! A lot of talk about a religious spirit - I am not talking about a religious demon - I am talking about you and me; I’m talking about the fact that we are so religious that we cannot live in our hearts, because our hearts are too damaged to live in them, and we will talk about that much more.
We have learned a style of relationship with other people that is compulsive, predictable, rigid and self-defeating. We need to learn about this style and how we can move from it.
Deep down we are unwilling to be an ordinary person. There is something in us that craves extraordinariness - It is impossible to live in our hearts if we are determined to be “Special” or “better” than everybody else! (We will talk about 2 and 3 later)
Religiosity: The church in America, in the west, is destructively religious. Now I didn’t know this 10 years ago, I was as religious as the best of them! RTN/The Call/Church plants - raised in dispensationalism, etc. I was so religious that it damaged the ministries and Churches I was a part of, and it damaged my family. And, I did not know that I was religious and I did not know I was damaging them.
We must trust our hearts; Because our hearts are washed by the blood of Jesus, and because Jesus imparts in our hearts, soul, and Spirit his very own righteousness we can, therefore, TRUST our hearts.
What does it mean to “Trust our whole hearts?” - Basically it means we can believe and rely on what our hearts are telling us. Our feelings are valid - we don’t trust our feelings because we are simply talked out of what we feel. But, if we are trusting our hearts and we say, “I’m feeling sad”, then we are feeling sad. WE TRUST THAT OUR HEART IS REPRESENTING REALITY TO US!
If we feel jealous, then we can say, “I am feeling jealous” because our heart is reflecting reality. If I feel angry, then I must be angry - these emotions and feelings are true.
Most of us don’t believe that we can trust our feelings and trust our heart;
Now all of these elements of the heart bring us to the next issue concerning living in the heart; It’s the issue of “Experiential Christianity”
For most people Christianity is a set of beliefs held in the mind, it’s a theological statement or a doctrinal position.
However, Christianity, in reality, is truth and a person that we experience. What good does it to leave us on earth to simply believe in a doctrine about Jesus, and doctrine about the trinity, and doctrine about open or closed communion? What good does it do to believe that??
To live as Jesus did, to live from our hearts, we have to turn 180 degrees. When we get to a place of healing and living our Christian life experientially we begin to feel Jesus literally living his life through our hearts. It’s not enough to say, “I know that Jesus loves me” when we live experiential Christianity we FEEL Jesus love for us, we FEEL his life being lived through us, we FEEL his very own compassion for others, we FEEL his forgiveness for ourselves and for others, we FEEL his, not our humility. We FEEL his faith, his obedience, and his desire to please the Father - if we are living “Experiential Christianity!”
We need to live “Completely and wholly” from our hearts. Scripture says, “He said to himself in his heart” - “We are to love God with our whole hearts” - “We are to meditate in our hearts” - “Love God fully in our hearts” - “A young man is to follow the ways of his heart” - “And, God will give us the desires of our hearts!” and so on…
Living in the heart has tremendous value Living in the heart is actually living in the “Whole” of the heart, not just part Living in the heart means that our heart must be healed. (We can’t without healing) Living in the heart means to live “Experientially, not just doctrinally.” Living in the heart means that we learn to trust our hearts completely.
The word Heart/s appears 841 times in the scripture referring to us. 12 other times it appears but it’s the heart of the ocean or sea or matter… 841 times amazingly appears in scripture to define us. However, the word Spirit or Spirits appears only 190 times in scripture; actually it appears 611 times in the NAS bible, but only 190 times does it have to do with our human Spirit; in contrast to 841 times the heart. Every other time “Spirit” appears in scripture it’s always a demon, or always the Holy Spirit. The word “Soul/s” appears 290 times.
