Yup, we are back with another conversation that we are sharing with you.
Steve Bisset and me, Shaun Smit, have been sharing with each other for over 20 years now. In these conversations we exhort, encourage, comfort, build up, inspire, ignite, process, challenge, and contribute to each other. If it gets you thinking and praying about some things, then great. If we had to have a "meeting", then this is the format we would take. This is the testimony of my friend Steve Bisset. After suffering a double stroke on Christmas day, listen to how the Lord Jesus intervened in the impossible and did a supernatural work to save his life and heal him.
When I hear this I am again aware of how powerful our faith is in the storm and in a crisis. That faith that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of.
Nothing you face is too hard for Him today. All things are possible to him that believes.

David is a very good friend of mine. We spent much time together in the United Kingdom, and we would have an online catch up every now and again when he returned to Canada. I had the privilege of journeying with him through some of his decision making. Now I'm so excited to see him off to fulfill his calling and purpose for his life. he travelled down from Canada to Pennsylvania to spend a day with Michelle and I before he leaves. 17 Rely on your leaders and defer to them, because they watch over your whole being as people who are going to be held responsible for you. They need to be able to do this with pleasure and not with complaints about you, because that wouldn’t help you.

the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
the state of being whole and undivided.
Accountability. refers to an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility for one's actions. ...
When roles are clear and people are held accountable, work gets done efficiently and effectively. Furthermore, constructive change and learning are possible when accountability is the norm.
There are 4 pillars of accountability:
Responsibility: acting on your ability to respond to a committed course of action
Answerability: making yourself answerable for your decisions and actions

How can you improve if you’re never wrong?
If you don’t face the reality of your own personal mistakes and failures and weaknesses and take responsibility for them, you’re bound to get stuck in your own ego and self-deception that you are fine when you’re not and everyone can see it.

Ephesians 4:10-12 Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 He who descended is the very same as He who also has ascended high above all the heavens, that He [His presence] might fill all things [that is, the whole universe]). 11 And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct], 12 [and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church];...
There is so much misunderstanding regarding the gift of the apostle. This misunderstanding lends to many deceptions, delusions, seductions, manipulations, and just weird stuff. Although by no means comprehensive, I did this teaching to correct some of the mindsets around this gift and it's leadership. Naturally, I don't expect this teaching to be popular by any means, simply because we 'love' our positions that make us sound more spiritual, more important and more exclusive. However, we cannot argue with scripture.
We need the gift of the apostle, desperately, today! But the way it's being presented is taking away the effect and power of the true and authentic. We have to align with the King and His Kingdom when delivering any gift. Gifts represent the Lord Jesus Christ and His Kingdom - not us! and the apostolic gift is, like the others (prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher), there to equip the saints for the work of growing up and maturing of the Body of Christ.

In the New Testament we can see four broad “types” of church, which have varying levels of influence and impact:

Churches that moved from house to house (small groups of Christians, meeting in a home, sharing the life of God - E.g. Romans 16:5, 1 Corinthians 16:9).

Local churches (called to specific localities or towns E.g. Ephesus, Corinth, Colossae).

Resource churches (called to act as hubs that resource other churches, E.g. Antioch).

Kingdom leaders are necessary in this season to impact and raise a new generation of leaders.

We need a Kingdom transformation in our nations. It starts with leadership. Not just in church, but church in the market place, right where you are.

For transformation to happen we need a new paradigm, a new mindset, to create a new culture of equipping.
-
The new culture of equipping is where leaders, in a secure relationship, engage, equip and empower the individual for their destiny and mission.
-
It takes mentoring with the heart of a mom or dad.
-
Mentoring assumes a clear understanding of what relationship is.

Jesus could engage people effectively at various levels to bring out their best.

Acts 1 Amplified Bible (AMP)
1 The first [a]account I made, Theophilus, was [a continuous report] about all the things that Jesus began to do and to [b]teach 2 until the day when He ascended to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given instruction to the apostles (special messengers) whom He had chosen. 3 To these [men] He also showed Himself alive after His suffering [in Gethsemane and on the cross], by [a series of] many infallible proofs and unquestionable demonstrations, appearing to them over a period of forty days and talking to them about the things concerning the kingdom of God.
Jesus over the period of forty days, appears to the men He mentored and talks to them constantly about the kingdom of God.
Jesus gave them greater meaning than what they were experiencing at that moment in time.
that's what true leaders do - they give meaning, purpose, mission to the next generation of leaders.
The kingdom of God is so much bigger than our 'thing'. It's the bigger picture. It transcends the norma, the program, the institution. It gives meaning to the commission, to the do. It is the reminder we are here representing more than a local church.
As kingdom leaders, this is our responsibility.
The children of God, our employees, our team members, are called to impact nations and bring transformation. We need to be talking to them about the kingdom of God constantly.
We need to be showing them the kingdom of God. We must live it, and represent it to them.
We are to show them the heart of the Father.
If we don't, they will find meaning and purpose in something else, they will adopt other values and another culture that will be enslaving, bring bondage and cause them to stumble. We will lose the nations as we lose this generation, simply because we stay 'blind leaders leading the blind'.
ENGAGE, EQUIP, EMPOWER!
Be leaders who see the bigger picture. Who can see the Fathers mission and mandate, who can see the gifts, callings, mandates, and potential in this generation, leaders who are prepared to raise and release this generation to represent the kingdom of God, not just our church.
They will stay immature while we hold them back, doubt their ability, keep them small, accuse them of rebellion and disloyalty when they want to GO and make disciples.
Give them meaning. Give them the Kingdom of God.
When it comes to business, well they will just leave, won't they? You cannot manipulate them to stay, so they'll leave.
so, Mentor them. Give their role meaning. Give them a cause with meaning. It doesn't matter how small your business is - give them purpose. But you, as the leader, need to 'see' it first.
Don't be a blind leader. Lead with clarity. Lead with vision.
This generation, our nations, are crying out for meaning, and they are finding it in the wrong places, in the wrong culture, with the wrong values, leading this world into devasting consequences.
We need kingdom leaders to inject the culture of God's kingdom, God's kingdom values, God's kingdom principles into this natural earth, into this world system, into this generation.
Luke 16.16
CEV Until the time of John the Baptist, people had to obey the Law of Moses and the Books of the Prophets. But since God’s kingdom has been preached, everyone is trying hard to get in.
I want to remind you that I use the Kingdom of God as a reference not as a new theory, or something different from everyone else, or a new 'move', or as another religious idea.
I reference the Kingdom as Jesus spoke of it as the representation of what is in heaven would be earth. We are the ones to represent the Kingdom here on earth. I view it as a mindset, a way of thinking and doing that is so different from what many times has been represented to us.
