MEITHEAL MARA: AT THE HEART OF CORK HARBOUR DOCUMENTARY
This a 5 part documentary series that explores how the art of traditional currach building in Cork contributes to, and has an impact on the lives of many diverse groups within Cork City and harbour area. Boatbuilding and training in boatbuilding and rowing are central to what Meitheal Mara does as a charitable community organization.
This documentary was made with the support of the Broadcasting Authority Of Ireland (BAI) and looks at how it is important to recognize that our heritage and culture can be preserved and maintained through the creation of such community-based initiatives that link our past with our present.
Each programme will run as part of a 5 x 40-minute series starting March 18th @ 2.00pm each day

This a 4x 30-minute radio documentary that highlights some of the key political and social issues that affect Palestinian Refugees in Beirut. A historical backdrop of Middle Eastern politics is given in order to guide the listener.
It explores the notion of Irish volunteers abroad and what motivates their actions. Contributors to the documentary include community workers, political activists & organisations, NGOS, individual volunteers & Palestinian Refugees from Ireland and Shatila Camp in Beirut.
All 4 parts of the show will air on UCC98.3 Fm radio at 5pm on May 1st 2015.

A docu-drama that recreates events in the village of Baltimore, Cork in 1631. Algerian pirates raided the town and stole 108 people who were sold into slavery in Algiers.
In partnership with The Baltimore Drama Group, The Hookes and Crookes Sea Shanty Group narrated and produced by Kathy O' Hare and funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland

On a summer evening back in June 2016- Cork Community Artlink brought back to life the space of the Lido cinema. They advertised a grand opening called “The Lido – Your space, our space” and opened the former cinema to the public. Over a period of two week CCAL opened their doors to the people of Blackpool of interaction, photographic and video archival footage and cinema screenings, Cork Community Artlink drank up all the cultural and social stories of Blackpool’s past and invited those kids from the 30, the 40s’ and 50s and 60’s back to a place of memory, story and nostalgia.
From the freak shows of the early 16oo’s that exhibited biological deformities, people with disabilities have been thrust to the side-lines of society and citizenship. Access n’ Attitudes aims to highlight the disabled experience in Ireland whilst acknowledging some of the physical and attitudinal barriers that disabled communities face. This documentary series emphasises the importance of equality and inclusivity. This program focuses on parenting and disability.
From the freak shows of the early 16oo’s that exhibited biological deformities, people with disabilities have been thrust to the side-lines of society and citizenship.
