Why are we here?I have always found is that talking through challenges facing the people who are directly involved, improvements, ideas are often found. Having a forum that allows real people to talk about real issues as it relates to productivity, growth, quality so that there is a sustainable solution, something real that they can implement straight away. They could be from middle management, leadership - anyone. Kind of the agony aunt, but for business.Having an informal discussion - using operational excellence and lean thinking to explore how businesses can become more profitable, more efficient, better businesses achieving goals faster. The conversation is based on a real problem and involves the person who presented it. If not, I will bring in 1-2 other specialists to put their spin on the issue.

Plexus Consulting is a proud member of the Good Guidance collective.  We are a group of consultants from NZ and Australia that collaborate together to bring the specialist skill sets together for the benefit of our respective clients.  With both NZ and Australia experiencing challenges with social lockdowns, we decided to get together and share our experiences from our specialist view points.  This was the recording from our webinar that gave a few insights that all business leaders can take and hopefully make a difference in their organisation.

Today's episode is another great conversation, this time focusing on the real challenges of a small & medium business in NZ. Damian brings to the table some of the challenges he has running an electrician business based in Hamilton, NZ.

During the conversation we explore how the small frustrations such as filling in the timesheets can be managed by looking at the big picture. In this case it is about staff engagement, empowering them to set and manage the standards, expectations and ultimately the operational excellence of the business.

Since starting 2E Electrical, Damian has made customer service and satisfaction his primary focus, bringing strong values and workmanship to the electrical industry. He has worked in many different areas of the business doing a wide range of work for different clients, and throughout that time has strived to deliver a high standard of workmanship as well as customer satisfaction.
