In Episode 8 of the Undeniable Conversations podcast, we discuss loading percentages, specifically how to choose the appropriate load for any workout. We provide some rough percentages you might use to match workout descriptions:

  • Max—90-100% of 1RM
  • Heavy—80-90%
  • Moderate—60-80%
  • Light—40-60% (Or less)

Just because you can go “Rx” doesn’t mean you should! Choose the appropriate load for you and the intended stimulus of the workout.

In Episode 5 of the podcast, Zach and Jeremey discuss the dangerous role ego can play in CrossFit and how it can stand in the way of your success.

Awhile back, we shared on Instagram that CrossFit didn’t cause injuries; ego does. Ego can manifest in many forms including:

  • Going too heavy too fast
  • Choosing inappropriate loading for a workout
  • Missing the desired stimulus of a workout just to do it “Rx”
  • Comparing yourself to everyone else and forgetting why we’re here in the first place

We talk about all of that and more in today’s episode!

In Episode 4 of the podcast, Zach and Jeremey discuss “the process” and why you shouldn’t be chasing quick fixes. The conversation was loosely based on this blog post and a Facebook series called “Killing the Fat Man” produced by CrossFit.

By “the process,” we’re referring to:

  1. Move with intensity 5+ days per week.
  2. Eat clean, whole foods.

Good things will happen!
