Being totally confident in our ability to clear snow manually with a shovel, we wonder if the image of us using shovels sends out the image of a struggle, and thus pressures our neighbours to come to the rescue with their tool of convenience? What if we don't want the help and want to use the opportunity to get some exercise and fresh air? Is it rude to turn away snowblower help? What about if the neighbour has already cleared your driveway before you could get out to it? And is there a requirement to pay it forward, or repay the favour?
