It's championship weekend for NASCAR, World of Outlaws Late Models and Sprints and USAC Sprints! Plenty of action across the world of racing and plenty to discuss from last weekends mayhem at Martinsville.
Mike and Marc roll into World Finals discussion with the WoO sprint car championship being the closest it's been in 3 years! Is the pressure on Sweet? Or is the pressure on Gravel? Who will be crowned champion come Saturday Night!
USAC wraps things up out a Perris this weekend with the Oval Nationals. Grant looks to have it sealed up but never count out the Macho Man. Can he get it done? Or does Grant win his first championship?
The cut off races for NASCAR last weekend sure didn't disappoint per usual.
Beginning with the Xfinity series. Does Austin Hill have a future in boxing? We think he does after the first round TKO he landed on Myatt Snyder. Ty Gibbs may be the worst teammate in history. Will Brandon Jones look for payback at Phoenix? It's a 3 on 1 battle between Junior Motorsports and JGR this weekend. Who will come out on top?
The dinner bell rang once again for Christopher Bell. Another win and in situation and the young driver pulls it off. But shadowing all that was quite possibly the greatest move of all time in NASCAR history. The watermelon man, Ross Chastain pulls a video game like move to secure his spot in the final 4 at Phoenix knocking out Denny Hamlin. Does Denny finally deliver on all the talk of seeking payback on Chastain? Will another driver try and pull the same stunt on Sunday to win the championship?

Dan Griep, driver of the winged 3D race saver 305 sprint car and owner, creator of Forged In Dirt swings by the Fast Factory Foundation studios this week. Fairly new to the world of racing when it comes to driving end of things but having been around it for most of his life, Dan set out on a new adventure in 2022 with the beginning of his sprint car racing career along with the newly formed Youtube channel, Forged In Dirt. It wasn't the prototypical story of a racer coming through the ranks to get to where he is today, but Dan deep dives into how and why he decided on the path that he is on now and the reasoning behind wanted to document it for everyone to see. With many highs and plenty of lows in his rookie campaign in 2022, Dan breaks down how the mental end of things prepared him for the challenges that laid ahead which ultimately landed Rookie of the Year honors at Arlington Raceway this season. With new goals set for next season to further along his racing career plus the vision for Forged In Dirt in 2023 and beyond, we've only seen the beginning of what great racing and content is yet to come from Dan Griep.

Marc and Joey are back for another round of sports talk but with an invader in studio this week. Mike on the Mic joins the sports crew from the racing side of RTS to attempt to talk sports with the boys. We're not going to spoil anything for you. You're just going to have to tune in and find out how he did.
On the agenda for this weeks episode!
The Vikings tried to find a way for us to bash them but found a way to pull off the victory over the motor city kitties. After another dismal showing the purple and gold head across the pond for an early morning showdown against the Saints. Will JJ find a way to bounce back? Can the defense find a way to force a turnover? In what seems to be yet another must win game for the Vikings, the boys break it all down and what to expect in this week 4 matchup in London.
The Gophers continue to row strong coming off a dominate win over Michigan State. Now ranked 21st in the country and 4-0 on the season, some would think this weekends game vs Purdue could be a trap! Will the oars finally fall off the boat? Can the Gophers keep on this torrid pace and show the rest of the country they are for real?
The Twins still aren't eliminated from playoff contention just yet. We'll just leave it at that.
Minnesota Wild begin to tune it up for the regular season.
Our DFS plays for week 4 of the NFL Season. Plus Survivor picks and upset specials!
And to top it all off, it is the return of everyone's favorite game. Taylor's Thirsty Questions makes a comeback for the first time in 2022. As always, T-Swizzle Homie came up with some very unique drink mixes yet again. Find out what they were and play along while you listen to see how you faired up against Marc, Joey and Mike.

The boys kick things off with a recap of the Gophers football season so far. After a 3-0 start in non-conference play, the Gophers face their first Big Ten team in the Michigan Spartans this Saturday afternoon. Will the boat continue to row? The seasons almost over and the Twins hopes of making to the post season are zero to none. Joey takes a look at how the season has went and what he would like to see happen over the course of the off-season. After a dismal showing on Monday Night Football last week against the Eagles, the Vikings look to turn things around in a home matchup vs the Lions. The World of Outlaws were back in action with two nights at Tulare. Who picked up the victories? Heartbreak for a rookie of the year contender and is the slump over for Kyle Larson. USAC midgets hit the track down in Duquoin for the Shamrock Classic. Two nights of indoor racing took place. No KKM cars meant the door was wide open for all who came. New winners? Or was it familiar faces standing on the podium? NASCAR finished up its west coast swing in Phoenix. The Racing Insiders Tim Schingen joined us to recap all the action from the weekend. A first time winner and an unexpected top 3 stole the headlines from the desert.

For a record setting 7th time in Reaction Time Sports Podcast history, driver of the number 69s Traditional Sprint Car, Jonny Lewerer stops by the Lightspeed Equipment studios for episode 69 presented by DK Designs, to catch up with Mike and Marc and discuss his 2021 season, what he's been up too behind the scenes during the long off-season and his plans for the up coming 2022 race season.
Race Day Rewind Presented by: The Racing Insiders
RTS Main Event Sponsored by: Pretty Polish Junkie
Racing off-seasons in Minnesota tend to be a little more laid back. The cold, the snow and shorter days make it seem like the thought of a new season are far far away. Finding things to do during the winter months is even harder. Jonny on the other hand, always seems to be up to something. Brew hall connoisseur? Bingo champion? YouTube junkie? Beard care expert? Just what in the world has this man been up too during the offseason?!
With the 2021 racing season in the rear view mirror, Jonny reflects on what was another grueling season. Having scored a win at Viking Speedway over Memorial Day weekend early in the year things looked to be heading in the right direction. A string of solid finishes continued throughout the summer but like any racing season, it has its highs and it has its lows. A minor engine issue and a freak seat belt incident threw a monkey wrench into the plans but that didn't stop Jonny from having what says, as his most consistent season in a sprint car.
The plan for 2022? Not to sure according to the driver of the 69s. Having not won a race in his sprint car career at Cedar Lake Speedway, that still remains the main goal before it comes time to hang it up. On the other hand, wanting to get back to seeing different tracks or returning to tracks with a previous history of success. May we see him up North? Will he make the trek out West? Or a trip down South be in the cards this year? Whatever the plan may be, the goal always remains the same. Win.

Marc Meyerhoff and Mike Mueller welcome the Owner and President of the Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series (UMSS), Ron Bernhagen in studio, for an exclusive interview about the UMSS, the Renegade Racing Brand, Schedules, Rules and the future of the brand.
In the first of this two-part interview, we get a little background on Ron and how his passion for the sport of racing began. Being a life long fan of the sport and of sprint car racing he saw an opportunity to make sprint car racing relevant again in the Twin Cities area with ownership stake in Cedar Lake Speedway. After a few years and many ups and downs, Ron came to the conclusion that he "Needed To Do Something Different." And with that, began the conception of the Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series.
Ron details how the UMSS began with the winged 360's, evolved to the Traditional Sprint Cars, where the tide turned for the 360 division and how the rebirth of the wing series for the UMSS came to be with the 305 and similar specs and rules to the Traditional Series.
Turning the wheel to the 2022 season for the UMSS and Renegade Racing Brand, first on the docket, the 2022 schedule! Many dates already announced with Cedar Lake Speedway being called home again in 2022. The schedule looks and feels a little different. Is there plans for a Memorial Day Weekend? Why is the UMSS not returning to Alexandria in 2022? Ron's thoughts on the Labor Day weekend 3 day races for the North Dakota Nationals and are there possibly anymore dates to be announced in the coming weeks?
That's just part one. We still got part two, too go! More news, discussions and announcements with Ron that we're sure you'll won't want to miss. But you'll just have to wait for that on episode 67.

Sports are back in session! After a 5 month layoff Joey and Andrew are back in studio to talk all things Minnesota sports! The boys had to shake the rust off but it didn't take long to get back into the swing of things as they discussed this weekends boarder battle in the NFC North, as the Vikings take on the Packers on Sunday. Both teams coming off wins last weekend and the Vikings in deep need of a win to get back to .500 on the season. Does the RTS crew have faith that the purple and gold can pull it off against their long time rivals. Plus we hit quickly on the start of the season for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Wild. With the Wolves off to a slow start and plenty of time left in the season. Can they turn things around to make a playoff push? Will the Wild be able to hold strong in the tough western conference? So far so good. But with a young core of talent and some shaky goaltending, can they maintain for a full season? Gopher football was officially eliminated from Big Ten title contention. Joey and Andrew don't agree with the coach Fleck extension and have concerns on what the roster will look like in the future.
