Do you need encouragement? When God speaks a promise to us, we have a responsibility to not only believe it but maintain that faith in our hearts. Faith is the divine part. However, courage is the human response that helps to not only keep the faith in our spirits, but motivate us to pursue and believe the fulfillment of that promise is on the way.

In this Believers Baptism in the Bible sermon, Pastor Paul explains that in a race, how you end up has a lot to do with how you begin. If you begin strong, you have a much better chance of winning. The same is true in education. Learning advanced things as an adult is much easier if you learned the basics as a child. Many business people also discovered the importance of getting their business off to a strong start. What is true in the natural is also sometimes true in the spiritual. Who is the good provider? The marketing teams from Madison Avenue have done a good job of giving most of us Americans the bad case of the wants. We have been told that we will not be happy unless we have something else that's newer, bigger, better and shinier than what we already have. It is their job to create perceived needs in us so that we will go and buy what they are selling. It is our job to discern between God's Word and their advertisements and see how it lines up with what God says.

Be baptized everyone of you. It's amazing today how many people proclaim faith in Jesus Christ and never have been baptized. Jesus, after His resurrection, was giving a command to the apostles and to the rest of the church’s disciples in Matthew 28 to go out there! Evangelize and tell people about the truth of Jesus Christ. When they repent of their sins and put their faith in Jesus, then make them into disciples! How? The first step is by baptizing them in water.

Tears for healing. We believe in what we call the 4 cardinal doctrines of Christ. There are more than 4 doctrines that we believe in. Yet, the 4 primary ones we are to teach and follow are (1) Jesus saves, (2) Jesus heals, (3) Jesus fills with the Holy Spirit and (4) Jesus is coming again.
We will be focusing on the 2nd one today as we talk about our part of obtaining the Healing that Jesus told us is our right and inheritance.

The rapture of the church of Jesus Christ is one of the fundamental doctrines. In part two of Pastor Paul Heidt's message called "The Rapture of the Church Explained," Pastor Heidt mentions there are two phases to the second coming of Christ. Many people get confused and combine the two leaving out the importance of Israel in the eyes of God and His promises. Israel is not the church and visa versa. Have you had a communication disagreement lately? There is one thing that always prevents good communication within a relationship. It is an unresolved conflict. Whenever a couple has an unresolved problem, they begin to realize that if they even talk, eventually, they will get around to that issue that they don't even want to discuss. What do they do? They avoid one another, because they know even if they talk, they can't resolve the hot potato between them. Satan usually smiles because he is succeeding in dividing and conquering.

Ruth is one of the bible women stories that everyone must read. I think it is incredible that a single woman by the name "Ruth" had a whole book written about her in the bible. She was raised in heathenism with baby sacrifices for their religion, lost her husband early and took a gigantic leap of faith to follow her embittered mother in law to another country. This is a woman that God never wanted us to forget. Even more, we must understand that before she eventually became an incredible mom, she was first an incredible single woman.

Is the Antichrist coming soon? Most of us Christians believe we are living in the last days. The spirit of Antichrist is already at work throughout the entire world trying to bring us into a one world economy and government. I remember not long ago, the concern of radical Islam rising everywhere. Most of us remember the attacks on 9/11, then in Paris, France and also one in the nation of Belgium. Do you know who Lucifer is? Lucifer, at one time served as one of heaven's principal angels. He was an archangel and an anointed cherub. Do you know that Lucifer had everything you could think of, until he was expelled from heaven for a rebellion. Pride blinded him and set him on a destructive path that affected 1/3 of all heaven's angels. If God was the senior pastor of heaven, you could call Lucifer the associate pastor who had selfish ambition because he was never grateful for all that he had.

Our God is a God of order, not chaos or confusion. God will give us a consistent divine order and pattern that will be seen in His word when dealing with the Baptism in the Holy Spirit that will never confuse us. When Jesus commanded his disciples to wait for the promise of the Father in Luke 24: 29, it is important that we find and establish a precedent of what is the evidence of this promise of the Father, also called, "the Baptism in the Holy Spirit." Today, we will find the apostles evidence and a pattern in the Book of Acts which gives us proof of receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. It will not be confusing, but a common denominator every time it is mentioned both in Acts and today.

You must understand that the importance of communication in marriage is one of the ways to make the music of marriage beautiful .The greatest way to have intimacy with your spouse is to learn how to communicate. God had intimate conversation with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden before they sinned. God wants us to restore that to us not only through Jesus Christ, but also in our marriages. Solomon knew this and shared his wisdom by writing Song of Solomon so that we too could learn how to have meaningful conversations with our spouses and others.

Pentecostals call it the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. There are baptism in the holy spirit verses that explain a wonderful and necessary experience that Jesus told His disciples to wait for before they begin the great commission. It is called many things. Charismatics call it the Infilling of the Holy Spirit. Whatever you call it, Jesus was serious about it in Luke 24. Jesus wants us to have a 3-fold relationship with the Holy Spirit. May we never sell ourselves short of all that Jesus wants us to have.

How do I know if I belong in God's church? If I belong in God's church, I need to know that there are two basic parts of a Christian's life. The first is gaining entrance into the church by believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior. The second aspect is understanding the importance of belonging to Jesus' church.
Believing in Gods Church it is important for a person to not only receive Jesus as their Savior, but to also believe in His Church. The Church of Jesus Christ is the only hope of the world. To spread that hope to others, followers of Christ need to belong to a local church. Yet, a church is not a church just because it has a steeple. You need to find one that not only bases their beliefs on the Holy Bible, but also functions as a family of God.

Is God speaking to me or is it me? Is God still speaking to me? Or, is it me? Have you ever had an experience where you believed God was speaking to you? How about knowing that God was communicating to you, but you didn't know exactly what He was saying. Samuel, the young prophet of Israel had God speak to him five times before he finally realized that God was trying to get his attention. The issue is never on God's ability to speak, but on ours to perceive. God is still speaking today. It is not on the same level as the word of God. Nevertheless, if we would believe He still speaks, we will discover a wonderful journey of how God speaks.

When giving thanks for another day, the first pilgrims who came over on the Mayflower boat went through some very trying times. Due to the food shortages, sickness and cold, many of them lost spouses, children and other family members. Yet, on their first Autumn of 1621, 100 local Pokanoket Indians joined them in a meal which became known as the first thanksgiving meal. They could have focused on the loss and pain, but rather chose to give thanks to God for His blessings. Thanksgiving for many of us can also remind us of our lost loved ones who have gone onto their reward in heaven, but we too, must choose in faith, to give thanks to our generous God for all His blessings.
