Pastor Dean's last message as Pastor of Grapevine Fellowship. It begins with a reminiscence of the 17 years of ministry and the people and events that made it so memorable. Then from Ephesians 6, Pastor Dean encourages all to be prepared for the days ahead. Put on the whole Armor of God to be able to stand in the evil day. If ever that armor was needed it is in these days in which we live.
Repeating a sermon given on March 30th of this year, Pastor Dean updates the recent world events and how they confirm the significance of the Four Blood Moons. The first Blood Moon appeared on April 15th of this year without any great changes in the world. But look at the changes in world events and especially in Israel since that time and it confirms that the first Blood Moon has had significance. What will follow the next three Blood Moons?
"Pastor Tiny" aka Conrad Steinhauer brings the message today on Love, Forgiveness and Unity. Pastor Tiny manages our Food Bank ministry and pastors the "Church in the Wind" biker church on Friday evenings. His journey with Christ has taught him many valuable lessons over the years.
Susan Forde brings the morning message. Beginning with a dramatic skit she teaches on the love and forgiveness of Jesus. This is a life long process of sanctification.
This old old story from ancient Israel describes an attitude and spirit that permeates our world today. The Spirit of Jezebel can be seen all around us. The world's system operates on deceit and manipulation and it is accepted behavior, even "politically correct". But do you know how ungodly such actions are? Do you practice this evil method of getting what you want?
Rev. Merle Quimby, former pastor of Grapevine Fellowship can still passionately deliver the Word in his own unique style at the age of 86. Beginning with the old hymn "Were you There?" he launches into an exuberant call for all Spirit Filled Believers to live the Spirit Filled life to the full in these last days. (Just to show the spirit of this "young" man, he preached twice on Sunday morning, then got in the car and drove 2 hours back home to Kingman, AZ where he preached again for an evening service there. He is my hero in the faith!)
King David cried out to God in repentance for his sin and chronicled it for all the world to see in Psalm 51. Repentance and pressing into God is the only way to find renewal and refreshing in this sin filled world. King David models for us the path of repentance.
As the world continues it's mad dash to destruction, Christians find it more difficult to live a Godly life. Jesus spoke of the difficult times ahead comparing the last days to the days of Noah and the days of Lot. Daniel spoke of the antichrist who would "wear out the saints". Many Christians feel "worn out" but what is really wearing on us is trying to live like the world.
As our youth return from camp and share their testimonies of how God met them there, we look for ways to fuel that fire and keep the Camp Fire burning. Those Summer Camp mountaintop experiences need to be cultivated and pursued all year long. James gives us very specific steps that we can take to draw near to God. Staying close to God is something that we can do right here in the valley, at home .
Being led by the Holy Spirit is the only way we can survive and even thrive in this chaotic time in history. The end times are filled with challenges for every Christian. The Book of Romans was written to believers living in chaotic times of the height of the Roman Empire. Paul's teachings are a handbook on Christian living in troubled times
The Holy Spirit is the "Gift of the Father". Something that God the Father wants us have, a necessary, much needed and useful gift. Too often Christians neglect to open the precious gift that is offered to us. What are the benefits of the Holy Spirit and how does He help us in this life? We explore these and many other questions about the Holy Spirit.
What does it look like when the Holy Spirit is a work in our lives and in the lives of those around us? The Apostle Paul learned the hard way that lofty speech or wisdom gets in the way of the Holy Spirit's work. The Holy Spirit works in simplicity and does not require us to have lives of perfection before he can use us. He works through the uneducated as well as He works in those well educated. He will work in the lives of those that seek Him.
Following our study of the Holy Spirit, we examine the events of The Day of Pentecost. The supernatural signs and the out pouring of the Holy Spirit and the accompanying gift of "speaking in other tongues" that were understood by people of many different languages. Speaking in tongues has many benefits for the church today.
Pastor Joe Morlock shares a great message on "Something that God has Never Seen". Exploring scriptures that refer to the eyes of the Lord, and revealing the heart and mind of God; he brings us to truths we may have failed to see with our own eyes. Joe and Ruth Morlock are visiting from their home town in Hillsboro, OR.
Continuing our study on the Work of the Holy Spirit, we look at Romans chapter 7 & 8. Here Paul describes the flesh vs. Spirit battle that we all can relate too. We can will to do right but then do wrong anyway. Paul cries out "Who will deliver me from this body of death?" The only answer to that dilemma is to live a Spirit Filled Life and discover the "you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit."
We begin a series of messages on the Holy Spirit as we approach the Day of Pentecost. Jesus promised to send the "Helper" to be with us in his absence. In fact he said it was to our advantage that he (Jesus) go away so the "Helper" could come. Today we build a foundation of understanding as to who the Holy Spirit is according to the Holy Scriptures.
We had the privilege of having Dr. Harold and Winona Helms as pulpit guests this morning. He gave us "Words of Wisdom" from his many years of experience in ministry and marriage. The Helms' have been married for 66 years and they have been in active ministry all of that time. Dr. Helms has served as the President of the Foursquare Church and Dean of Mount Vernon Bible College and Pastor of Angeles Temple just to name a few of his credits.
We celebrate the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into the city of Jerusalem every year. And while it was a joyous occasion, the Gospel of Luke says it was one of the two occasions when Jesus wept. That may seem out of place until you understand what it was that Broke the Hearth of Jesus.
The rulers of this age, did not know the Wisdom of God or they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. That thought from Corinthians opens the door to consider the awesome Greatness of our God who planned our salvation before the foundation of the world. The wisdom of God seems to be foolishness to man and the wisdom of the world is foolishness before God. That can be clearly seen in these verses..
In addition to the coming Four Blood Moons and the Total Solar Eclipse of 2014/2015 there is one more prophetic event that will occur on September 14, 2015 just 16 days before the last of the Four Blood Moons. That date is the Jewish New Year. Deuteronomy 15:1-2 describe the releasing of debt every seven years called the Shemitah (rather than the Year of Jubilee, as I mistakenly refer to it). At the end of the past two seven year cycles, in 2001 and 2008 the United States has experienced the worst stock market reverses ever recorded. So if the pattern continues it would spell chaos for the financial markets in September of 2015 and many financial market analysts are already saying that the market is over due for a major correction.
There is much talk about the coming Four Blood Moons but do you know why this series of four total lunar eclipses is of Biblical importance? What does the Bible say about the moon turning blood red and when will that occur? The history of these occurrences confirm that they indicate a major change coming for the Nation of Israel. With Israel as the focal point of current world events, this warning should give every Christian a reason pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
What does the Bible tell us about the New Heaven and New Earth? Revelation 21 gives us a glimpse into eternity beyond the end of the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ on earth. John struggles to describe for us what he saw in his vision. A New Jerusalem coming down from the heavens, built upon a foundation of precious jewels and paved with a street of transparent gold. Most importantly, it is a place where God himself can dwell with us; no more tears, death, sorrow, crying or pain.
We continue to work our way through the "Last Days" Events and talk about the "Millennial Kingdom" as described in Revelation 20. There are several other brief glimpes of this event in the Old Testament but this passage is the only one in the Bible speaks directly of this time. It will be a facinating time when Jesus is bodily present on earth and sets up His kingdom and Satan has been bound and imprisoned. The resurrected saints of God will be present in their immortal bodies and there will be survivors of the Great Tribulation also present in their mortal bodies.
Continuing our discussion of Last Day Events, Pastor Dean looks at what the Bible tells us about "the Second Coming" of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Second Coming is distinguished from the Rapture by the actual physical return of Jesus as he sets his feet on the Mount of Olives and the mountain splits and forms a great valley to the east of Jerusalem.
Continuing our study of Last Day Events, Pastor Dean turns our attention to The Great Tribulation as described in Revelation Chapters 6 through 19. So many of the specific details given there are even now happening in our news today. The Great Tribulation begins when Israel signs a peace treaty. According to the U.S. government, they must sign a treaty before April 29 of this year or suffer the consequences. It is all lining up before our eyes.
Pastor Dean examine what the Bible tells us about this awesome event. What is the Marriage Supper? Who is invited? And when will it take place? While the direct mention of this event occurs only once in the Bible and that is here in Rev. 19: 7 & 9. There are many other references to it in both the Old and New Testaments. Looking at those references gives a pretty clear indication of what The Marriage Supper of the Lamb is all about!
Christians talk about "the Rapture" all the time, but do you know what that is all about? Where did we get the idea that God would come and rescue us out of the trouble of the world? Is the Rapture found in the Bible? And if it is true when will it happen? Pastor Dean explores all of this and more in this message.
Stew Powers brings the morning message on the Miracle of Elisha"s spring. He reminds us that we must take action to remove the pollutants that poison our attitudes and thinking. We need a constant fresh supply of the water of God's word and prayer to keep our spiritual lives clean and pure so that others will want to partake of what we have.
In this message subtitled; "Two Fools and Henpecked Husband" Pastor Dean continues to explore the spiritual meanings of the parables that Jesus taught. Study shows that 16 of 38 parables focused their pointed meaning on the reality that not everyone would make it into Heaven. Politically Correct thought would have us believe that all pathways lead to heaven, but that is clearly NOT what Jesus taught.
From the "parable of the talents" we explore the spiritual meaning of Jesus teaching on the subject. Building on the teaching of a previous message ( A Harvest Beyond Your Wildest Dreams), Pastor Dean reveals the secrets that Abraham and Moses and David did not know but you can know now. Recognizing the gift and treasure that we have this passage challenges us to put our talent to work in the kingdom of God.
We so often quote 2 Chronicles 7:14 and relate it to the restoration of the United States of America. That is indeed a valid application, but it applies our personal "land" as well; our family, our home and our living. The closeness and intensity of our relationship with God is in direct proportion to our effort to "Seek Him."
Pastor Dean starts the New Year off with a reminder that we as believers have a choice in serving God. We can follow after God with all our heart and reap the benefits and blessings promised. To the extent we do that, the year 2014 will be our best year yet. As Joshua said: As for me and my house, We will serve the Lord
The story of the visit of the Wise Men to Bethlehem is fascinating in so many ways. Who were they? Where did they come from? What did they know? And what did they see? The gifts they brought were significant and most unusual gifts for a new born baby. But their gifts to honor God were small indeed to the gift of the Christ child, God incarnate, Emmanuel, God with us!
In answer to the question "Who is Jesus?" we discover that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed One as promised in the Book of Isaiah. He fulfilled all of the law and the prophets in his time on earth and met every prophecy concerning the Christ, the Messiah..
John's Gospel begins with an emphatic declaration that sums up all of the Gospels (all of the Good News) in one concise statement. John was intimately familiar with Jesus and his ministry and declares that this was indeed,God himself in our midst. That understanding is absolutely critical to our salvation.
The giving of thanks and having a grateful heart is commanded for all of Christ's followers through out the scriptures. But often we struggle with finding things we are thankful for. We try to weigh the "Good" against the "Bad" But thanksgiving must be an attitude of the heart.
The Armor of God that is so familiar to believers is equipment we must put in place so that we can prevail in PRAYER. Spiritual warfare is not physical combat but spiritual combat done in the heart, mind and soul. Having "Pre- Prayer ed" with all of the armor God has made available, we are then able to "Stand" and prevail through prayer over every attack of the enemy.
Entering into regular sessions of prayer in a practical way is our goal. There are some steps taken from scripture that will help you build up you prayer life and become more effective in it. But first, there is an interesting prophecy at the beginning of the chapter that sure speaks of the world that we are living in today.
Prayer is WORK, hard word when it is properly understood and practiced. Prayer is spiritual warfare and the enemy will do everyhting he can to keep you from it. The dialog between Jesus and John the Baptist illustrate the difficultiy of surrendering to the plans and purposes of God.
Rev. Susan Forde fills the pulpit while Pastor Dean is away at Men's Camp and does an outstanding Job of sharing her passion for God and pursuing Him through a life of prayer.
Pastor Dean continues his pursuit of a more effective prayer life with a look at "The Lord's Prayer". Jesus explains to his followers how to go about praying. Prayer is not a demonstration of how spiritual we are or how much we know. It is private, intimate communication with our Father.
Pastor Dean continues his pursuit of a stronger and more effective Prayer Life. He revisits several fundamental principals of the basis of our responsibility in prayer. Then we examine how these principals apply in these two parables about prayer that Jesus gave to His disciples.
Oops..after an eight minute delay, Pastor Dean wrestles with the hard questions of prayer. What is prayer? What is the basis for prayer? Why should we pray? How should we pray? Why isn't prayer always answered the way we want?God gave man dominion over the earth and has limited Himself to do on earth, only what we ask Him to do in prayer. A clear understanding of how prayer works will change the way you pray.
Evangelists, James and Carlotta Rogers, share the visitation and message that James recieved in 2011. A real and moving visitation of Jesus Christ has stirred their hearts and ministry to reach anyone and everyone who will listen to the urgent call for PRAYER for our families and our nation NOW. It is not a new or strange story but an URGENT CALL for action by the church.
We are being "Sifited". Pastor Dean preaches the same sermon that he preached on Sept. 14th, 1997. In Honor of the 16th Anniversary of Pastor Bud's death. The message is timeless and currently relevant in light of the present situation in the USA and on the world scene at large.
John the Apostle repeatedly and emphatically states that to fail to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God is to be antichrist. The present politically correct mindset of this nation and the hate speech laws recently enacted are exactly the kind of thing John is talking about .. antichrist. Believer's must stand firm in their faith and never compromise the truth of who Jeus is.

John defines in uncertain terms how to determine if you are a "born" child of God. It is a passage that needs some in depth study to realize it's full meaning and impact. Pastor Dean does his best to bring those truths into the day in which we live.
Pastor Dean discusses the Apostle John's warning against Antichrist, many antichrists as a sign of the end times. Our current world is filled with those who use the name of Jesus but deny that He is the Only Begotten Son of God. That belief and understanding is critical to our salvation and it is vital that we understand why.
Pastor Dean examines the parable of the sower from Mark Chapter 4 where Jesus says that this parable is the most important of all the parables. Jesus explanation to his disciples clearly and unmistakably says that Satan comes immediately to steal away the Word of God or choke it out to prevent a great harvest. We must consciously resist the devils attempts to keep us from God"s word.
Concluding our series on "Abraham to Armageddon" , Pastor Dean reviews the Revelation record of the last great battle of the End Times.Current events are lining up with scripture and the stage is set to usher these final events.
Pastor James Childers brings the Word from Hebrews Chapter 4 to reminds us that we need contend for the Rest that God has promised us for Today!
Pastor Dean continues his "Abraham to Armageddon" series as he examines the 19th Chapter of Revelation and The Wedding Supper of the Lamb which takes place in Heaven while the Great Tribulation takes place on earth. These two events take place simultaneously. One being the greatest joy ever known to man and the other being the greatest time of trouble ever known to man. How can we reconcile the apparent incongruity of Revelation 19.
We asked our Jr. Hi. / Sr. Hi. youth to share what they received at youth camp this year. Some of the volumne is too soft and they are not used to public speaking but listen carefully and you will be blessed by the move of God at our Foursquare Youth Camp. Salvations, Baptisms in the Holy Spirit and healings are transforming our youth into an army for their generation. Keep them in your prayers.
Pastor Dean explores Chapter 5of the Book of Revelation as John the Apostle describes what he saw a he peered through the open door in heaven. Searching for someone who can open the seven seals of the book, the angel tells John "the Lion of the Tribe of Judah" can open the seal ... but John see "a lamb standing, as though it had been slain".
Pastor Dean continues the series "Abraham and Armageddon" and gives an overview of the Book of Revelation. Revelation is filled with hope and promise for the believer. There will be deliverance and protection for the believer and the ungodly will be overthrown and destroyed if they refuse to repent.
Pastor Bob Edmondson teaches on the importance of our Prayer Life from the lessons of Job and his friends.
Pastor Dean joins thousands of other pastors across the United States participating in Pulpit Freedom Sunday in preaching on the Biblical definition of marriage. The Supreme Court of the United States will hand down their definition of marriage sometime this month. But the only definition that matters is what God has to say about the subject.
The focus of the Book of Revelation is to reveal Jesus to the world in all of His Power, Authority and Glory. The book of Revelation is a source of COMFORT and ENCOURAGEMENT to those who are "in Christ" . But if you are NOT "in Christ" it is a warning of coming JUDGEMENT and DESTRUCTION.
Ezekiel prophesies a major end time war involving Russia, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Libya and Turkey coming against Israel as they gather on the mountains to move against Israel. God supernaturally destroys those armies with hail, earthquake, fire and brimstone to demonstrate his love for Israel.
The prophet Joel sees coming captivity and punishment fot the sins of Israel. But at the same time he says that redemption is available if we but return to God. Then he declares that God's desire is for us to be filled with His Holy Spirit and and be led by the Spirit.
The greatest proof that we are indeed in the "End Times" is the restoration of the nation of Israel.
Pastor Dean turns to the Book of Daniel chapter 12 to continue the series "Abraham and Armageddon". Chapter 12 deals with the last half of the "Great Tribulation" which more and more resembles the time in which we are now living.
Pastor Dean continues his series on "Abraham and Armageddon" as he discusses the prophecy of the "Seventy Sevens" , the timeline fromDaniel to the Second Coming of Christ.
Dr. Greg Reid begins with 2 Timothy 3 to discuss the current world situation and trends in the United States.
Pastor Bob Edmondson reminds us of the spiritual warfare that we face on a daily basis. We must stay vigilant against the attacks of the enemy and stand in the Armor of God to resist the wicked one.
