Today we look at how Jesus responded to His disciple's heartache, disappointment, and uncertainty for the future. His response was loving and kind as He took them to the only unchanging truth in our world, The Word of God. A mission statement is defined as an action-based statement that declares the purpose of an organization and how they serve their customers. A mission statement is a short summary of your purpose.

Today Pastor Jimmy began his sermon series for Lent with an introduction to the difference between being a Christian and being a Disciple. The first followers of Jesus didn’t call themselves Christians. It was a derogatory term used by people outside of the faith. In Acts 11:26, we see that the first Christians were known as disciples.
The word Christian is used three times in the whole Bible; the word disciple is used 281 times. A Disciple is a far more accurate and compelling description of what it means to follow Jesus.
Today we’ll see, the concept of a disciple exposes the fact that many who claim to be Christians are not actually disciples of Jesus.
