She had accidentally left her drip-feeding bucket on the hive and the temperatures drop below zero, upon going into her Hive she found mold on the honey frames and wondered if it was okay for human consumption. Bee keeping schedules are predictable in their timing even if the exact date may vary a bit. We're going to talk about reasons why saying on schedule may be difficult. Today in the certified beekeeping technician course we're going to be covering several things that are just housekeeping something that your employers may want you to know. How to install package bees outdoors in a warehouse indoors as well as your first inspection of your package installation.
B4 # 13 in this podcast we are making a split with a package it is not a usual split that people do however I have found that making a split with the package in the spring allows the spring spirit of the bees 2 double the effort and double your splits. This is a little bit more risky split however I wanted to include this in the course as you are learning different ways of creating hives and it is another tool in your tool kit. I apologize for the quality of the recording as you will hear binging and beeping and ringing of phones. It is not up to my usual quality but I need to get stuff done and y'all want to hear this as we go through the certified beekeeping technician course work. Hopefully we'll have better luck next time.
