We've been told all our lives it's in the "middle" where we find "reasonable" people open to compromise. It's in the center where the "serious people" in both parties reside. This is the opposite of the truth. It is not the far left that is the most extreme, it's not the far right -- it is the corporatists in the "center." All their talk of "grand bargains," and "bootstraps" and "reaching across the aisle" hides an actual radical agenda. An agenda that has sucked up nearly all the wealth from the bottom 90% and handed it to the richest 1%. The donor class. The ones who own these "Centrists." Republicans? Democrats? Both parties have their "center" and their center has successfully staged a corporate coup over the past 40 years. Drinking all of our milkshakes in the name of "deficit reduction" and "job creation." It's time to expose their schemes and take our milkshakes back!
Cutting taxes for the super rich has been called, "trickle down" economics, "supply-side" economics or even, "Reaganomics" -- but no matter the label, it's always been yet another lie the center uses to drink our milkshakes. Or, in this case, our coffee. While they're sipping their aromatic, rich name-brand premium java, the rest of us are sucking down 3 day old coffee water that looks like it was pulled straight out of Flint. How can we, the average Americans, take our coffee back? Find out!
In episode 1 of The Center is a Lie we discuss the lie of "abolishing" private health care to create Medicare for All. The reality is socialized medicine would kick private insurance's for-profit ass. No "abolishing" needed. Here's why the radicals in the "center" refuse to frame the argument that way at the first Democratic debate and in general. Raise your hand if you're tired of their bullshit!
