As the decade comes to a close, many prominent artists produced incredible art from the worst of times. Death is a subject that has been examined thoroughly and beautifully in the last 10 years, and this episode will look to recommend and analyze a few albums that achieve this.

Back in the 70's, Brian Eno popularized ambient as an established genre of music. In 2019, it has now seen countless artists take atmospheres and tones in a variety of directions, while pushing it beyond what its initial potential may have seemed to be. However, some may still feel daunted by actively choosing to sit down with this form of music, and that's alright! Episode 2 will suggest how and why you should approach this music and give it a shot.
30 years ago, an unexpected classic released. "Disintegration" cemented the already outstanding band, The Cure, as a legacy group. The inaugural episode of The Preamp will look to dissect and contextualize this masterpiece, and find out what qualities make it so special.
