Upcoming gigs: PSYMERA - 12th March 2022, Orange Yard, W1D 4JB (psytrance set)

Starting back in 2002 with a pair of belt-driven Geminis and a 2-Channel Numark, Fin learnt to play the hard way at marathon 12-hour after-party sessions, plugged into a wide-screen television. A few thousand hours of obsessive playing and tinkering later (and a few equipment upgrades), he found his way to psytrance.

Over the last few years, becoming one the rotating residents at dance:love:hub and with a huge variety of gigs in and around London (The Butterfly Effect, PSYMERA, SecretSoma, UFO/Unique Tribe, Psyrhythmix, J00F Editions, Transylvaliens, Planet Angel, Trancelucid, Inertia, Transcend, All Things Trance and The Infinite Bliss Experience) and, recently, for Psyology in Birmingham, he has developed a sound that blends his love of trance melodies and darker-edged underground sounds, playing a range of styles and genres from atmospheric and progressive techno, through progressive house and underground trance to progressive and full-on progressive psy.

2020 and 2021 have been squashed by COVID but 2022 is already shaping up to be a great year with gigs for PSYMERA and dance:love:hub...

Opening set at the ever-excellent PSYMERA. Banging Funktion-One sound, great line-up and an always-up-for-it crowd (starved of psytrance by COVID for most of the last two years!) made this a special return to mixing full-on psy.

Looking forward to the PSYMERA festival in May with more of the same magic ingredients...but none of the 'going home' for 4 days! :)

My opening set recorded live at dance:love:hub Xmas Party 2021 - our first party in almost exactly two years after the COVID hiatus. A new venue in West London (Maxilla Hall in Latimer Grove) and, fortunately, most of our faithful crowd, although on the day we were gutted to find that two of our residents (Oli N-Kore and Steve Birch) were unable to play due to COVID so there were voids to fill. Our remaining residents, Jon Cockle and Facade, and two guests, Joe Byrne and Paul van Nukem did us proud and took the roof off as we partied like it was 2019.

Big thanks to Danny Stopani for the inspiration on a couple of these tracks (I highly recommend his Premedicated Music series which you can find here on Soundcloud) and to my favourite melodic techno producer, Alfonso Muchacho for making some killer tracks over lockdown.

Here's my set from the fantastic dance:love:hub Xmas Party at Five Miles in Tottenham, London (28th December 2019). It was a full 12 hours of music heaven, surrounded by lovely people and stunning artwork and I have to admit to being absolutely shattered by the end. Every single DJ smashed it and I couldn't stop dancing from 3pm until about 2am, when my legs finally gave out; it was an honour to be on the decks with my fellow residents and our excellent guests. My set was the bridge between the techno /prog and the psytrance from 9-10:30pm. Enjoy!

This is a live recording of my set at the magnificent Tribal Village, the long-established and renowned London Psy & Underground night. Massive production, amazing art and lovely, lovely people. I opened the Tribal Floor (with dance:love:hub also hosting the Village Floor) and there was wall to wall amazing music all night long. It's the best party to catch up with friends after a summer of festivals and forests. It didn't disappoint and it was a real honour to be involved with some massive names on the line-up including Mandala, Endeavour, JourneyOM and Cimi, to name just a few.

My opening set from dance:love:hub's incredible 7th Birthday party at Five Miles, London on June 15th 2019.

I had the pleasure of warming up a brilliant crowd at our brand new venue and setting the scene for what was to follow; outstanding sets by our resident, Jon Cockle, our special guest Jamie Baggotts, headliner Daniel Lesden and topped off perfectly by our rotating resident N-Kore. Can't wait for the next party with Airwave in October...but before then we are hosting the Village Room at Tribal Village, The Steel Yard, London on Saturday 7th September.

This is my set from the incredible PSYMERA Christmas Special at 93 Feet East in Shoreditch, London. Headliners Volcano and Imagine Mars (and their duo Volcano on Mars) came all the way from Israel to see what the London scene has to offer and the party was an absolute belter with every single act / DJ playing out of their skin. 16 hours of mayhem with a mint sound system, stellar decor from Mellonskop and the friendliest crowd. This was a guest mix for Oz-based Northern Irish DJ Chris Hynds - his radio show 'Underground Therapy' has a world-wide following and is responsible for developing the underground scene in Australia. He's top class in the booth as well, playing a memorable set at the 2016 edition of dance:love:hub's renowned Boxing Day party in London.

This was a very special party with special guest appearances from Airwave and The Digital Blonde. I set the scene for our talented resident Jon Cockle who teed everything up nicely for an absolute blinder of a progressive / techno set from the maestro, Airwave. The party finished thunderously with a brilliant performance from The Digital Blonde. The first two hours of my opening set at TRANCElucid (Club 414, Brixton) recorded live and unadulterated! It came after a full day spent celebrating dance:love:hub's 5th Birthday at The Egg, in conjunction with Trance Sanctuary and Trancecoda. My t-shirt was salt-rimed from working up a sweat on the dancefloor at this amazing day party and I was absolutely buzzing to play for two and a half hours at TRANCElucid. The mixing may not be perfect but the dancefloor was bouncing and I had a whale of a time in the booth. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
