This is of special interest when searching for reliable information on the evolution of different diseases: (a) neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's; (b) systemic diseases such as cardiopathies (in which gait is clearly affected); (c) alterations in deambulation dynamic due to sequelae from stroke and (d) diseases caused by ageing, which affect a large percentage of the population. Accurate reliable knowledge of gait characteristics at a given time, and even more importantly, monitoring and evaluating them over time, will enable early diagnosis of diseases and their complications and help to find the best treatment.

Within this episode we are going to see the various approaches to perform a gait analysis, and the technologies which are involved in it, for say a wearable sensor, of a floor sensor. There are various other method or test which are also involved in the process.

When we think of Origami the first photo which comes in mind is a paper flower or a plane , but the origami concept has used by NASA to develop various type of components or parts for outer space. the same concept of origami can also be used in the prosthetic and orthotic field, as a matter of face the use of artificial muscle used in prosthetic are inspired by origami, As for today episode we are more focus on the application and various material which can be used to design a origami inspired orthosis.
