On the Chaise Longue: Recent Episodes

Praises be to the El Elyon of Avraham, Yiṣḥāq and Ya'aqov, the Holy one of Yisra'el, Alpha and Omega, the BEGINNING and the END. I give you thanks and praise for your goodness, your mercy and your grace. I give thanks for a mind to pray and a heart to seek your face, and authority to bring my members into subjection. I thank you for this moment and the opportunity that each day brings. I know that each day is special and I am empowered with unlimited potential. There are no ceilings on my life, obstacles that cannot be overcome or barriers that can stand in my way. In fact this is the greatest day of my life and I am free to exercise all the gifts and talents you have blessed me with. My hopes and dreams can manifest today and I approach this moment with great expectation for miracles, breakthrough and deliverance.
Have you been feeling like you've been MANIPULATED, UNAPPRECIATED, TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, TAKEN FOR GRANTED, MISUSED and ABUSED? Well the truth of the matter is if you've been feeling like this, you probably have. Most people we surround ourselves with are people who have decided to get close to us for their need of us and once that need is met, we're no longer important, wanted or valued. Many of you listening today are suffering from a broken heart unaware, you've decided some time ago to continue to hold onto a thing that has clearly left you feeling a great measure of pain. Yes, I'm speaking of that difficult divorce, separation or break up with that someone who you once thought to be your everything. So, you were found giving them every piece of yourself, only for them to decided one day that your all just wasn't enough. Now, they've decided to moved on, but you're still till this very day struggling to move past it, and the relationship has become like an anchor in your life, holding you down.
You may be wondering what do I mean to detoxify your mind? What most are unaware of is that over the course of our lives, we have decided to embrace a few primary ideas and beliefs about ourselves whether they be positive or negative. And it's those very ideas and beliefs that have shaped the way we know and understand ourselves and how we think. They are the sieves so to speak through which we perceive things.
When we take a moment to truly meditate and reflect upon the word LOVE, the scriptures written in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 is brought to remembrance by the spirit for it is written: I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell. I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains—but if I have no love, I am nothing. I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned — but if I have no love, this does me no good...
For the Most High has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind. And death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. And though our flesh may fail, but the Most High is to be the strength of our heart and our portion forever. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So, we must remember to fix es not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is only temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. And we are to be confident and prefer to be away from the body so that we are present with our Father in heaven. And if we live, we live for Him, and if we die, we die for Him. Whether we live or die, remember we belong to the Most High.
Though some have painted marriage as some fairytale or believe it to be like an incredible journey taken by two individuals who have decided within their hearts to be joined together by mind, body, spirit and soul until death do them part. But that cannot be achieved unless the two are willing to sacrifice all for the sake of the marriage while gaining understanding that the marriage can only be ordained by the Most High, not any other and that when keeping Him at the head of it, it's not only pertinent, it’s crucial to the very survival of the marriage and family. If He is not kept at the head of the marriage, the marriage and the family will no longer survive. And during times of difficulties like the times we're in today, many marriages are found struggling to survive the fire that has come to test its permanence, which has left it completely destroyed. America has a standing divorce rate of 50% still till this very day. And it's through that rate we comprehend that the two somehow have seemed to have forgotten all about the, “To Have and To Hold” vow. But if the two will only take a moment to reflect back upon the many promises made in the midst of the wedding ceremony, and decide to adhere to that which is written in the BEGINNING, they will be like the wise man using bricks or cement for the building of a strong foundation, and the marriage will be afforded the opportunity to succeed in fulfilling its divine purpose.
