Dr Manuel Piñuela is the CEO of Cultivo, a company that is changing the way we look at investing in natural resources. How do we increase the health of the land, the bio-diversity, and at the same time productivity? Cultivo approaches these questions with a well thought through and well timed mixture of accurate geographical data and what I see as a permaculture approach to regeneration as a way to implement environmental balance and health, as well as bringing the right land owners together with the right investors. Cultivo works with Indeginous groups, NGOs all the way through to major investment companies.
Manuel is a nature advocate, technology and science entrepreneur, and MIT Technology Review Innovator of the Year under 35. Manuel believes that the climate crisis is one of the most pressing issues of our times and creating Cultivo allows him to contribute to one of the many solutions that are needed. He wants to ensure future generations benefit from nature and works tirelessly to contribute to meet the Paris Agreement goals.
