For some, Kiesgrube is one of the most legendary open-air clubs of the electronic music scene; for others, it is a magical place of longing in its purest form. Opened in 1997 and continuously developed since then, Kiesgrube has retained its exceptional charm to this day. There’s hardly a great DJ superstar who has not played for Kiesgrube, yet. But that's not the point. The reason why thousands of like-minded insane people from all corners of the earth make a pilgrimage to this wonderworld-like place to forget about everyday life on Sundays? Something very difficult to put into words: Perhaps it is the extraordinary decoration with love for every last detail, or the beautiful location, with the finest sand and green trees or the perfectly designed dance floor and the proximity between DJ and visitors. Whatever it is, the atmosphere of Kiesgrube is magical, and a unique vibe prevails here. A place like no other filled with pure magic.
As one of The Netherlands finest music exports, Franky Rizardo has established himself as a name renowned across the globe, synonymous with driving music that blurs the lines between Techno and House.
Franky is further cementing his status as one of electronic music’s most dynamic individuals by releasing on a diverse list of labels such as Rejected, Saved, Strictly Rhythm and 8Bit. As well as being a regular within the ANTS and elrow camps, he has performed at iconic venues such as Fabric (London), Shelter (Amsterdam), Amnesia (Ibiza) and Sound (Los Angeles). In 2020 he launched his very own label LTF Records (Listen To Flow): An outlet established to release his own creative works, which is seemingly the perfect moment for Franky as he has developed his own distinctive sound based out of his influences and passions.
Ever since Seb Zito first discovered underground electronic in 94, he has evolved right through many elements of underground music. He has forged a strong house and techno sound since establishing himself as a resident at Fuse, however echoes of a more raw sound still permeates his music to devastating effect. A true raver himself, he has a natural affinity with the dance floor which he uses intelligently to build a connection and then taking the crowd deep into his own sound and space. His releases on numerous top labels have had a great reaction, but even better is set to come as Seb translates his uncompromisingly raw and powerful DJ style into music productions of the highest order.
DJ & producer Prunk is working at his own pace, but this doesn’t mean he’s taking things slow. Prunk is a resident dj for STRAF_WERK, he is a regular at DGTL and Jenja (Bali) and has played in Monaco, Barcelona, Zürich, Lille, São Paulo, Ibiza and at Awakenings Festival. His warm and sexy, but always dancefloor orientated and uplifting sound that finds its influences in artists like Kerri Chandler, Djebali, Mark Farina and Mr Ks is definitely attracting attention from promoters.
Kiesgrube Stay Wild Moonchild Podcast #03 mixed by Sidney Charles
It’s not often a DJ can stamp their authority on a genre so much that it gets its own label, but Sidney Charles is one. His take on house music is known amongst fans as The Sidney Sound: it’s built on heavy low ends, the immediate impact of chunky drums, cavernous low frequencies and hard-hitting rhythms that connect directly with your body.
Both as a DJ and a producer, Sidney favours rough, dirty sounds that defined the old school pioneers, but all with a modern, full and punchy approach. His signature tunes like ‘House Lessons’ and ‘Warehouse Romance’ established this early on, and since then the artist has homed in on ever more irresistible rhythms on key labels like Truesoul, Hot Creations and Saved.
We are very happy to present the second edition of our Stay Wild Moonchild Podcast. This time Rony Seikaly will take you on a journey through the sound he is loved and known for! 🙌
The Lebanese/American DJ and producer has already played every major club worldwide and has shared the stage with luminaries such as Marco Carola, Damian Lazarus and Guy Gerber. Since 2010, he released on labels including Suara, Saved, Yoshitoshi Recordings (to name a few). From massive festivals including Burning Man, Ultra Miami and BPM Festival, which he always hosts his own stage, Majanina, to headlining iconic clubs such as Uberhaus (Beirut), Spy Bar (Chicago), Amnesia (Ibiza), Space (Miami), Sound (LA), Scorpios and VOID (Mykonos), Rony has proved himself as an extensively talented DJ and producer with a strong following. His sound contains varying elements of music, which he merges into his very own style. While rejecting strictly defined genre labels, he always stays true to his own music instincts. 🎵 Seikaly’s goal for future upcoming gigs is to focus on bringing his distinct style of music, as well as continuing to follow a quality-over-quantity approach when picking his shows. Beside playing timeless sets, his ongoing project as a Stride label boss, creating brilliant productions and building his radio audience, Rony continues to do what he loves and does best
