This little parable known as the Lost Coin appears between two better known stories (the lost sheep and the prodigal son) but is not to be overlooked. We learn from this parable that because God is such a loving and forgiving person, it is never too late to be found and become a better person through the eyes of God.
Someone once said, "A hero and a coward are both scared – but a hero runs in the right direction." Courage is not the absence of fear, but overcomes it. In every generation, God is looking for heroes – those courageous men and women who understand the truths of Scripture and will uphold them and obey them, regardless of the cost.
Matthew 5:13 reads "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
The world has a way of trying to wear away the “saltiness” of Christians, but as the Salt of the earth, we must continue to preserve, penetrate, please and promote the Word of God to scatter good seed in our daily life. God help us to be salty Christians.

Have you ever bitten into a delicious cookie or piece of cake? It's not necessarily the pan that was used to cook it in that made it taste so great. We all go through things in life, seasons if you will. They are temporary and can test our patience, obedience, faith and love. They can teach us lessons about ourselves, others and about life. We don’t know how long each season will last, but God knows and He will give us all that we need to get through it.
Anyone who has been able to forgive someone knows the joy that comes from letting go. And if you are holding onto wrongs done against you in the past, you will never experience the freedom and joy that comes when you LET IT GO.
When discouraging news threatens to flood our nation, our churches, and our souls, we must press through to reach an all powerful God and allow Him to lift up our heads, our hearts, and our hands.

We may not realize God is present during our circumstances. We may not be able to see His face, but He is there nonetheless! His love will never end, is inseparable, and unconditional. The LOVE OF GOD IS THERE -- even when we are not looking!
It's during hard times that you must stand on faith and fully trust that God is the answer.
Our difficulties and temporary defeats are not the end unless we allow them to be!
"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed." 2nd Corinthians 4:8-9
Chains fall off, bondage is broken, and doors open without touching them -- just goes to show you that any circumstance can change when GOD is on your side!
God's Word shows us the importance of taking ACTION in our Christian lives because there are certain moments that alter everything!
A life of integrity comes from a series of choices to do right because it is right. Your situation or circumstance should not determine your behavior, but God’s commands should. Today, no matter what others say or who is watching, choose to obey God. Know that even if man isn’t watching, God is.
When we show compassion to the lost, the poor, sick and needy, we are seeing the needs of people before seeing the differences in people – and we are fulfilling the law of Christ.
Like Nehemiah, it is our job to be about rebuilding the wall – a strong wall of protection in our churches, our homes and our lives. We start today by restoring our relationship with our amazing and great God!
Don't allow yourself to be bogged down by past failures. Move forward into the future that God has for you.
