We spoke with Father Gelfant on the steps of St. Finbar’s Church, Bath Beach, where he is pastor. Father Gelfant is one of the youngest pastors in the Diocese and recently completed a complete renovation of the parish church, with all work dome by the parishioner themselves. Father Gelfant told us about his conversion to Catholicism and how he came to think about becoming a priest. He also spoke about the struggles of seminary life as well as the joys of being a priest.
