When Kit Strauss couldn’t find educational materials that she felt would help her children learn a second language, the suburban Maryland mom-and lawyer-turned-entrepreneur created better products herself. And she got her children involved – with the aim of appealing to students as well as their parents.
“Kids like watching other kids,” says Kit, and “my children and their friends were my guide as what was fun and humorous and what kids would enjoy as we created the videos and games.”
The result has been a successful, award-winning language learning program called “Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids” (FLK).

Bridget Kelly and Bill Stepien are still fighting to keep their emails private. Ted Mann Says: Federal prosecutors in New Jersey subpoenaed the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey this week, seeking records related to the private business interests of the agency's chairman, David Samson. A person familiar with the matter said the subpoena seeks records concerning Samson and two of the largest projects currently under way at the authority: the replacement of the Goethals Bridge, and the raising of the roadway of the Bayonne Bridge. http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304747404579447560630627506 Let's talk! CHRIS CHRISTIE IN TROUBLE AGAIN AS TESLA DECLARES WAR
Luxe electric car company Tesla Motors unleashed a blog post and series of tweets Tuesday accusing the administration of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie of not acting in "good faith" as the company attempts to bring its direct sales model to the Garden State.
The Administration has decided to go outside the legislative process by expediting a rule proposal that would completely change the law in New Jersey," the blog post said. "This new rule, if adopted, would curtail Tesla’s sales operations and jeopardize our existing retail licenses in the state.
We are commenting on Bridget Kelly's bizarre court room appearance, looking for a job (Kelly of Bridgegate)

Join Us for our weekly political round-up. Tonight we are joined by the legendary Sam Greenfield and Aimee Kass. Regular co-hosts BB Lawson, Julie O'Brien and Maggie Mulvihill will also be butting in where we can! This has been an eventful week for Governor Christie, one in which new allegations have emerged about his self-serving quasi-criminal activites in the political arena.
Our regular weekly update centers around the New Republic story on New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Its an indepth, honest (and damning) look at Christie's entire career, titled aptly enough: Chris Christie's Entire Career Reeks -It's not just the bridge Here's a little preview from that New Republic story by Alec MacGillis: Has there ever been a political reversal of fortune as rapid and as absolute as the one just experienced by Chris Christie? At warp speed, the governor of New Jersey has gone from the most popular politician in the country to the most embattled; from the Republicans' brightest hope for 2016 to a man with an FBI target on his back. One minute, he was releasing jokey vanity videos starring Alec Baldwin and assorted celebrity pals; the next, he was being ridiculed by his lifelong idol, Bruce Springsteen. Mere weeks ago, Christie was a straight-talking, corruption-busting everyman. Now, he is a liar, a bully, a buffoon. What is remarkable about this meltdown is that it isn't the result of some deep secret that has been exposed to the world, revealing a previously unimagined side to the candidate. Many of the scandals and mini-scandals and scandals-within-scandals that the national media is salivating over have been in full view for years. Even the now-infamous Bridgegate was percolating for months before it exploded into the first major story of the next presidential race. Join us on Tuesday night as we chat with AUTHOR TOM UFERT about his new book. An excerpt below from Author Tom Ufert's new book, Political Craps - Compromise, Rancor, Affluence, Policy, and Stupidity Over the last several years my faith and trust in America's elected officials has been seriously shaken to the core. As a life-long student of politics and at one time a highly involved political activist, it has always been my firm belief that the primary responsibility of a good citizen was to be an informed participant in the political process of our nation. While reading Political C.R.A.P.S. the reader should keep two primary thoughts in mind. First, are you as informed and educated as you should be to make a wise decision with your vote that will directly impact every aspect of your life? Second, if you're not, then ask why!
Chris Christie's Tale of A Bridge - the ongoing scandal surrounding the closure of traffic lanes on the George Washington Bridge.

Our regular weekly update on the saga of New Jersey Governor Christopher Christie and the tale of a traffic jam leading from Fort Lee New Jersey across the George Washington Bridge. It has been an eventful time for all of us since this story broke, and to date we have seen Bill Baroni, David Wildstein, Bridget Kelly, Bill Stepien, and Christina Renna all fall by the wayside in one way or another. It is comical to see how the governor is imploding under the weight of his own follies. Going back to high school to try to dredge up dirt against David Wildstein - although a week before he said he didn't know him back then. Being struck by the Boobirds in Times Square before the Super Bowl. Then the traffic at the end of the Super Bowl was damning. Clearly, there was no planning, and no thought put into crowd control. This is Chris Christie's New Jersey. Time for a change Anyone??

On tonight's show we are featuring a man who was bullied by Chris Christie, and ended up, an innocent man, opting to do prison time rather than allow the Jersey Bully to have continuous control over his life. This is his story about Chris Christie. Joined by Julie O'Brien and BB Lawson.
Tonight's show is a recap of all things #ChrisChristie, all things #Bridgegate. Democrats are enthused in the Garden State and beyond, Republicans are somewhat surprised that someone with the political connections of Chris Christie is under the microscope. The general public appears to be genuinely shocked that the Christie administration would wilfully endanger the lives of citizens by having three local lanes from Fort Lee to Manhattan converge on just one single toll lane on the George Washington Bridge. Those of us who have been following the Governor are not surprised at all, sadly. It is par for the course with the Christie administration. It looks somewhat like an episode of the long-running, popular show, "The Sopranos,' very loosely based on the mafia crime families of Northern New Jersey. However, back on December 20th, during a presser in Trenton, Christie stated that the bridge controversy is "not that big a deal.' Tonight we will be looking at Who's Who in #bridgegate - Star of the Show - Chris Christie (see slideshow) Governor Villian of the Piece - Bridget Anne Kelly - Deputy Chief of Staff UNKNOWN QUANTITY - KEVIN O'DOWD - CHIEF OF STAFF Press Secretary - Michael Drewniak Spokesman - Bill Baroni Spokesman - David Wildstein Campaign Manager - Bill Stepien
Join us for a panel discussion on Chris Christie's George Washington Bridge problems. The story has been dogging him in the media since it became clear that political vengeance prompted his cronies to shut down three lanes of the bridge, causing mayhem in Fort Lee. Today, we are elated to find copies of the actual emails released by Mother Jones and NBC.
