In this episode of the We Are CCA: Exploring Careers podcast, Jake and Ian interview Kevin Cysyk, Director of Assisted Living & Personal Care at Pennsylvania Health Care Association. Mr. Cysyk discusses the importance of empathy, leadership, and perseverance when caring for the elderly. Personnel in the senior living system build relationships with the elderly. Not only do you get to meet many people, but you also get to learn about an elder’s life and history, leading to a better understanding of life. To become involved with senior living as a high schooler, there are many volunteering and internship opportunities available through local senior living homes.
In this episode Jake and Ian talk to Dr. AlexPozun who is an emergency physician working for the Conemaugh Health system. They talk about all things medicine and the process of becoming a doctor.
