Vs 24-25 God’s greatest gift to us is salvation; He opens our eyes to see the Truth, and then gives us the faith to receive His grace.
Vs 26-29 The Bible is ‘His story’; it tells us Who Jesus is, and how we can have a relationship with God through HIm.
Vs 30-34 Jesus’ miracles authenticate His deity, but self righteous people deny any evidence that challenges their pre-determined conclusions.
Vs 35-38 A Christian is one who wants to worship Jesus Christ.
Vs 39-41 Jesus came to earth to save sinners; those who humbly accept Him will see and be saved, while those who arrogantly reject Him are blinded and judged.

Vs 48-51 Anyone who believes that Jesus’ words are true, and responds by trusting in Him for salvation, has eternal life, and will not face God’s judgement.
Vs 52-55 Since Jesus’ claim to be God is authenticated by His heavenly Father, those who oppose Jesus, oppose God.

Vs 25-30 When our relationship with Jesus is our most important priority, then we will do the things that please Him.
Vs 31-32 Real freedom comes from knowing Jesus through faith, abiding in HIs word and obeying what He says.
Vs 33-36 Only Jesus, God’s Son, can set people free from slavery to sin.
Vs 37-40 Those who claim that God is their Father, should act like His children.
Vs 41-47 Those who have not been born of God cannot understand or obey God; they believe and behave like Satan, because they belong to Satan.

Vs 12 Those who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord by trusting and obeying Him, will experience His presence, His protection, and His guidance.
Isaiah 42: 6-7 Jesus is the Light of the World; He opens spiritually blind eyes, and saves people from their slavery to sin.
Vs 13-20 Jesus’ testimony about His deity is true, because He came from heaven, and God validates His claims.
Vs 21-24 To get into hell, trust in your own self righteousness, love this world, and refuse to believe in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
Vs 24 To get into heaven, you must believe in Jesus as the eternal God, that He was virgin born, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death to atone for my sin, was resurrected, and ascended into heaven to rule and reign forever. John 7:53 - 8:11
Vs 3-5 All of us have been caught in sin, and rightly stand condemned by God’s law.

Exodus 34: 6-7 God imposes perfect justice upon self righteous sinners, but offers grace and forgiveness to sinners who repent.
Matthew 7: 1-5 All human judgment of sin must begin with personal repentance; only when I am cleansed by Jesus will I be able to help a fellow sinner, and not harm them.
Vs 8-11 God’s forgiveness should motivate us to live holy lives.

John 7:25-53

Vs 37-39 Whoever believes in Jesus receives the Holy Spirit; He is the source of God’s supernatural life in us.
Vs 40-45 Your belief in Jesus must be based on the truth of Who He is and what He did, not on human opinion.
Vs 46-53 Pride blinds people to the plain facts about the Scriptures, about their sin, and about the Savior.

Numbers 12
Vs 1-2 It is a sin to reject what God has given to us because we are coveting what God has given to someone else.
Vs 3 God uses humble people who submit to him and serve others.
Vs 4-8 God appointed Moses as the leader over Israel, so opposing Moses meant opposing God.
Vs 9-13 Everyone needs a mediator who intercedes with God for their sins and Jesus Christ is our mediator.
Vs 14-16 Even forgiven sin contains disciplinary consequences; seeking honor instead of humility leads to a loss of influence in God’s kingdom. ••• Subscribe to listen each week as the Manna class learns and grows together through their in-depth study of God's Word. Ephesians 5: 15-20
Vs 15 Living wisely requires diligence; we must walk carefully so we don’t stumble over temptation and fall into sin.
Vs 16 Living wisely requires discernment; since time is limited and the world is wicked, we must use earthly opportunities for eternal purposes.
Vs 17 Living wisely requires definition; we must understand and do God’s will which is found in God’s word.

Ephesians 4: 17-32
Vs 17-19 Before Christ, our minds were blind, our hearts were hard, our conscience was calloused, and we were dominated by our selfish desires so that we lived eternally empty lives.
Vs 20-24 Following Jesus means stopping our old sinful behaviors, filling our mind with God’s word and living holy lives.
Vs 25 God’s family must be truth tellers and promise keepers.
Vs 26-27 Unresolved anger can give Satan an opportunity to ‘set up shop’ in our heart.
Vs 28 We must work hard so that we have a surplus, not for ourselves, but to share with those in need.
Vs 29-30 Each word is powerful, so use every word wisely in order to build others up and not to tear them down.
Vs 31-32 We must reject self centered anger and practice God centered kindness by forgiving others just as Jesus forgave us. ••• Subscribe to listen each week as the Manna class learns and grows together through their in-depth study of God's Word. 2 Timothy 4:6-8
Vs 6 We will finish life well when we offer ourselves to God every day, and when we view our death as a departure, not a disaster.
Vs 7 Following Jesus means fighting evil, however, victory is certain when we put on God’s armor, depend on His power, study His scripture, and walk by His Spirit.
Vs 7 We will finish well when we stay focused on Jesus, and eliminate everything that keeps us from running well.
Vs 7 Guard the treasure of God’s Word by knowing what it says, and then passing that truth onto others.

Vs 2 Spiritual maturity is mandatory for those who oversee God’s people.
Vs 4 Effectively leading your own family is a prerequisite for leading God’s family.

1 Timothy 1
Vs 3-4 The primary purpose of every pastor is to faithfully teach the truth of God’s word without fear or favor.
Vs 5 The brand mark of the believer is love; following Jesus means loving like Jesus loves.
Vs 6-7 Rejecting Biblical truth makes you mentally foolish and spiritually fruitless.
Vs 8-11 God’s law diagnoses our problem; everyone has sinned and is separated from God. The gospel provides our solution; Christ paid the penalty for our sin so we can have a relationship with God.
Vs 12-14 Jesus not only saves us from sin and death; He calls us to work with Him as He saves others.
Vs 15-16 The only reason Christ came to earth was to save sinners, especially me. ••• Subscribe to listen each week as the Manna class learns and grows together through their in-depth study of God's Word. Vs 27-30 The only way to be saved from the penalty of sin is to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and trust in His payment for our sin.
Vs 31-33 Arguing with God is agreeing with Satan; our job is not telling Jesus our plans, but adjusting our lives to His plans.

Vs 34- 36 Only when we see like Jesus sees and feel like Jesus feels, will we act like Jesus acts.
Vs 37-44 When we surrender our ‘little’ to Jesus, He multiples it into ‘much’, and uses it to meet the needs of the ‘many.’

Mark 6
Key Idea: Sin creates guilt, and the solution to a guilty conscience is forgiveness, which Jesus freely gives to everyone who repents.
Vs 12-16 Habitually doing what you know is wrong will harden your heart, and can ultimately destroy your ability to respond to God.
Vs 17-20 People who love their sin hate God and His people, because God’s word convicts them of sin and corrects them with a guilty conscience.
Vs 21-23 Pray before you promise, otherwise your promises may lead to irrevocable regrets.
Vs 24-29 Those who refuse to repent, spin a web of sin that first enslaves them and finally destroys them. ••• Subscribe to listen each week as the Manna class learns and grows together through their in-depth study of God's Word. Galatians 2-3
2:16 God declares us right in His sight when we believe and receive Jesus’s payment for our sins. Justification occurs instantly. Justification is an act of God, not of man. God justifies sinners, not people who claim that they have no sin. God declares us to be righteous when we trust that Jesus took our sins and gave us His righteousness.
3:2-5 We are not only saved by faith, we also live by faith.
3:6-9, Romans 4: 18-22 Faith is acting according to God’s promises regardless of circumstances.

Whether God caused "bad things" as punishment or allowed "bad things" as a test, both are designed to bring us closer to God.
"Bad things" are from the perspective of fallen humans, not from the creator.
Understanding is NOT a condition for obedience.
The world may be your location, but it is not the source of your truth.
Because of God's testing, the redeemed are going somewhere better than Eden.
