Hello, my name is Laurie Sisson .Dollmaking has been a large part of my life for many years. I invented "The Foot" which allows dollhouse dolls to stand without doll stands and look more lifelike because they can bend at the knee and hip. All of the individually sculpted dolls I create are made with The Foot. Making One Inch Scale Character dolls led to making smaller scale dolls. Things I wanted for them were not easily available so, I made them for myself, then sold them to others who also wanted them. The Foot was one of these products (13 sizes) and so are the half-inch scale hats.I have always worked in multiple fields: painting, sculpture, photography, graphics, and miniatures. No matter what you learn, you can always find ways to use that knowledge. It seems that for me, one thing leads to another. Miniatures uses everything.

Amit Taneja serves as the inaugural senior vice president and chief inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) officer at Chautauqua Institution. He provides leadership on several institutional priorities to make Chautauqua more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible, including the creation of the IDEA strategic plan, training, policy issues and practice updates. Amit engages with the leadership of various Chautauqua community groups and all Chautauquans on IDEA related initiatives. Kelly Barrett has worked for the IRS for 23 years, starting as a Data Entry Transcriber and worked his way up to a Human Resources Education and Knowledge Management Specialist. Kelly has over 15 years of training project management experience with an expertise in eLearning course development and is a certified Instructional Designer (ISD) and Online Training Professional (COTP).
In 2014 Kelly began researching MicroLearning Videos and how they can increase retention of training. With his Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting, he started a program called Self-Help Online Tutorials (SHOTs). He has since grown the program to an enterprise-wide initiative with nearly 700 SHOTs videos for all 84,000+ IRS employees to view, anytime they need to. Kelly designed these videos to be 3-minutes or less, which are narrated, and either demonstrate a specific process or action, or they provide information or overviews on a wide range of topics. Lloyd has been a knowledge management practitioner for seven years, after discovering it in 2014. Prior to this Lloyd had a solid background in IT support, spanning over 20 years in a wide range of industries and multi-national organizations.
Having experienced the success that knowledge management brought to an IT support team in Airbus Australia Pacific, Lloyd found his new passion! He took up an opportunity to perform knowledge management at an organizational level for Airbus in Australia when they upgraded their ISO9001 standard to the 2015 version. This involved his first foray into developing a Knowledge Management framework. This framework included tools that help an organization preserve knowledge when staff exit, prevent costly re-work, reduce organizational risk, fast track projects and unblock tasks holding staff up.
In Lloyd’s current capacity working for a state government agency in Australia, he continues to hone his knowledge management skills while coordinating knowledge flows and facilitating sessions to improve support outcomes, build working relationships across teams and geographies, unblock tasks and preserve organizational knowledge. Ivan encountered KM in 2013, when he used his community building and communication background on a World Bank Group (WBG) project aimed at improving knowledge sharing. For a year he only flirted with KM, committing to it fully in 2014. At the WBG Ivan focused mostly on community management and communities of practice (CoPs). He created and led the organization's first community management training, the CoP program, and the first centralized community management team. Because of his passion for community building, in 2018 he took Harvard's Leadership, Organizing and Action course on community organizing. He introduced some of its key concepts to the WBG's KM community and CoP program just before leaving the organization. He joined UNICEF in December 2018. Here he has been coordinating the development and now implementation of the organization's first global KM strategy and has been using some community organizing in doing so. Ivan holds a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

She has worked in the Balkans region (Croatia, Kosovo and Albania), Papua New Guinea, Iraq, Colombia, Switzerland and Egypt, with numerous deployments to conflict situation zones and natural disaster affected areas. Her work on Knowledge Management started “officially” in 2007 working at the Emergency and Post-Crisis Division of the International Organization for Migration, a UN Agency. The 2010 Earthquake in Haiti was the first successful result of the Knowledge-Based approach. In Egypt, during the Arab Spring she worked for UNICEF in the country developing knowledge products, a knowledge management strategy and the internal knowledge-based system based on SharePoint. Her engagement with UNICEF started after a country programme evaluation. Since her arrival to Geneva in 2015, she works as consultant on KM issues. Her last engagement -still on-going- is the support to the IOM Regional Office in Costa Rica in the development of the Knowledge Hub for Migration (https://kmhub.iom.int) and the support to Headquarters in the development of knowledge sharing tools that include user-friendly products and participatory internal trainings that contribute to culture change. Mrs. Ginetta Gueli holds a MSc in Business Administration from Pisa’s university and is an AIESEC alumna. She has more than 10 years of experience in Knowledge Management and has an extensive understanding in dealing with different cultures. In her current role, as Business Analyst for a Law Firm, Ginetta is supporting the CEO in reshaping business processes and detecting shareable and valuable knowledge to increase business volumes and improve cooperation between teams.
Ginetta began her KM journey in The Boston Consulting Group, where she was the Consumer Practice knowledge coordinator for Italy. In that role she managed the intellectual capital of the company ensuring that the relevant knowledge was accessible and to promote a culture of sharing that enabled teams to work more efficiently and effectively.
After that, Ginetta joined Valore D, where from scratch she structured and implemented a Knowledge Management system designed to avoid the costly practice of re-inventing the wheel. It provided team members a way to find valuable information in unstructured shared folders.

Mrs. Ginetta Gueli holds a MSc in Business Administration from Pisa’s university and is an AIESEC alumna. She has more than 10 years of experience in Knowledge Management and has an extensive understanding in dealing with different cultures. In her current role, as Business Analyst for a Law Firm, Ginetta is supporting the CEO in reshaping business processes and detecting shareable and valuable knowledge to increase business volumes and improve cooperation between teams.
Ginetta began her KM journey in The Boston Consulting Group, where she was the Consumer Practice knowledge coordinator for Italy. In that role she managed the intellectual capital of the company ensuring that the relevant knowledge was accessible and to promote a culture of sharing that enabled teams to work more efficiently and effectively.
After that, Ginetta joined Valore D, where from scratch she structured and implemented a Knowledge Management system designed to avoid the costly practice of re-inventing the wheel. It provided team members a way to find valuable information in unstructured shared folders.

Responsible for Knowledge gap analysis, Battle Rhythm synchronization between the three commands, and integrating Knowledge Management into the operations and plans process to support the Commander's decision-making process. He has served 20 years in the United States military between his enlisted time 1998- 2002 in the United States Marine Corps as a field radio operation, where he rose to the rank of Lance Corporal then transferred to the United States Army Reserves where from 2005 to 2015 he deployed 3 times to Iraq and Kuwait where he was a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for a Transportation Company which performed Convoy Logistics Platforms in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His second deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn he was the Deputy Knowledge Management Officer for an Expeditionary Sustainment Command. In his most recent deployment, he was assigned to the Combined/Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve in Kuwait where he was the Chief Knowledge Manager for the 66-nation coalition for the fight against ISIL

She is Sr. Director of Knowledge Management at YMCA of the USA, the national resource office for YMCA’s across the United States. She ensures YMCAs have access to knowledge, tools, and resources to collaborate to strengthen their local communities. Prior to joining the Y, Lisa worked for Grant Thornton, an accounting and advisory firm, where she was part of a team that instituted KM from scratch- developing processes, training team members to manage knowledge, and building a new technology platform. She has spent almost 15 years defining and shaping knowledge management for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Lisa earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master’s Degree in English focused on Technical Communication from Eastern Michigan University. At Chicago Booth, she was chair of a student group that provided consulting services for nonprofits. This experience coupled with her work at the Y has allowed her to see how knowledge management adds value to large and small non-profits alike.

She helps farmers and food producers to expand consumer markets, increase demand for local food products, and cooperatively market and promote regional food items. Kimberly also serves as the region’s coordinator for the area development grant program sponsored by the Appalachian Regional Commission and is very active in developing eligible projects that will benefit the region’s economic vibrancy.

Kelly volunteers with the Free Tax Preparation network and has also volunteered as a Citizenship Tutor with Journey’s End Refugee Services. She credits her mother for her awareness of social justice issues.
