Mr. Womack

James Womack's musical journey began at age 9 when he hacked a Sony boombox to manipulate James Brown radio recordings overdubbed with a ninja turtles bikehorn and his Casiotone. The same approach to melding musicianship with creative manipulation of the sonic zeitgeist is found in PTC’s work today. He’s a guitar playing disciple of The Meters’ Leo Nocentelli and The Smiths’ Johnny Marr. He’s a DJing disciple of Todd Terje and J Dilla. It’s a strange brew

Lyrics:I gave a whisper Beneath the blaring hornsI felt a shiver in the blue light of the dawnI don't wanna know the way I dieI just wanna know the place I'll layYeah, yeahDo I believe in love?My love, it's been a long timeI know you know Alone is better sometimesI could've kissed youBut the stillness turned me onI could've kissed youBut the stillness turned me onI heard the airchime blowAnd knew it was the endI fear all hopelessnessAnd bear the will to liveI don't wanna know the way I dieI just wanna know the place I'll layYeah, yeah Do I believe in love?My love, it's been a long timeI know you know Alone is better sometimesI could've kissed youBut the stillness turned me onI could've kissed youBut the stillness turned me on

Lyrics:You’re severed from the source of the light And you’re not for long The shimmer in your shimmy shakePlays its own damned song Pacing like ya bout to escape But the freedom’s all wrong hereDoing whatcha knows is right It’s a full time job, dearThe man said we’ve gotta gotta get along with All of the pieces on (the) board or we gonna get done in You don’t notice When ya reflection starts to decay AnnihilationWhen the end of yer night becomes day The tones of a six string axeGonna set a little stage But the bones in our bag of tricks Start to give our ass ‘wayGoin where the money’s right It’s a goddamn gambleSaying what needs to be said You gotta set an exampleThe man said we’ve gotta gotta pay to play here All of the tickets sold fore our whiskers get grayer You don’t notice When ya reflection starts to decay AnnihilationWhen the end of yer night becomes day The lonesome winds are blowing Just to blow the wrong wayThe lonesome winds are blowing Just to blow the wrong way…

It just don't seem so hard...Desde que te conociThat impulsive trip down southand suddenly we're marriedMaybe we're both a little crazy? But, we know what we want without a doubt.Don't wanna basic life.Won't die unsatisfied.Never really wanna settle down.Oh baby I know it ain't easy, the distance so damn far away.At least we know where we're goingand we'll always find a way, ay-hey!It just don't seem so hard...Desde que te conoci.Yo apprende el españoland suddenly we're married.Just wanna live la pura vidaand see everything there is to see.Don't wanna basic life.Won't die unsatisfied. We'll be what we wanna be.

I don’t hear the calm in these ashesNever seen the soul in our clashes I believe in possible pasts and I’llnever leave the line; we’ve been asked to beKingsGuess where that leads?Asked to be kings Guess what that means?Peace alone can soothe; it escapes meWreathes of stone and blood interlacing Weave around the wounds;; in as so farKept around like relics; from times we’d beenKingsGuess where that leads?Asked to be kings Guess what that means? I can’t reface this stela born of warThe past it breathes in hell and exhales more At last some peace if I could just have more A mask displaced, I never asked to beKingI can’t release the tears from your lashes I can’t unsee your fears everlasting Galilee; on water withstanding At last I see the nobody here wants to be MeGuess what that means?I’ve got to be meGuess where that leads?I guess I’ll be King

All you jokers talking shit Like you’re not half full of it Trying hard to tow the lines I forgot to draw in

You have the sense to keep it clean Rinse yer lips & then repeat Trying hard to know no whys I forgot to comment

Untitled notes you left upon the walls Our favorite game to play outside it all Untitled notes you left upon the walls Unbridled love you meant to give us alone

All you preachers preaching here Talking love and signaling fear Leaning hard against the signs Y’all forgot to put up

I hear the waves at Genji’s door I’m not quite sure just who they’re for Trying hard to know the light That I forgot to follow

Untitled notes you left upon the walls Our favorite game to play outside it all Unbridled love you meant to give us alone

(Unbridled musical cacophony)

Untitled notes you left upon the walls Unbridled love you meant to give us all Notas sin titulos upon the walls Amor desenfrenado to give us alone

A song inspired by the passion in Viola Davis' speech at the Oscars today. I was riffing on the Minitaur while my girlfriend watched the Oscars in the background; the passion in Viola's voice inspired this music.

Inspired by a rainy night alone in North Park. Named after the terrible film featuring Mickey Rourke, Megan Fox, Rhys Ifans and Bill Murray. Uses a break from Elvis Presley - "Put Your Hand in the Hand".

The blues is too damned rhythmic.
