Court of Equity
Equity is "fairness" or "justness" and, specifically, is the name given to the whole area of the law that deals with disputes between persons when neither of them has done anything against the law, but there is a conflict between their rights or claims.
Equity n. 2) a venerable (holy) group of rights and procedures to provide fairness, unhampered by the narrow strictures of the law or technical requirements of the law. In essence, courts do the fair thing by court orders such as correction of property lines, taking possession of assets, imposing a lien, dividing assets, or injunctive relief (ordering a person to do something) to prevent irreparable damage.
Why is Equity important to us? In order to fully understand how God’s judgments or decisions work, we must understand the MAXIMS of EQUITY or the rules of the Court of Equity (Court of RIGHTEOUSNESS). Judgments are good if you are on the winning side of the judgment.
