White Castle is an amazing fast food burger joint imo, The White Castle is a board game release from Devir Games in 2023. I can't vouch for what The White Castle tastes like, but we are going to tell you what we think of the game :) This one is a dice drafting and dice worker placement game that is very snappy. What did we think of this one, well you will have to listen to find out! So if you are reading this (does anyone actually read these little write ups) you are appreciated and we thank you! So who wouldn't want to have been a robot inventor as a kid? I know I did. Well In Raising Robots you get to do that. In Raising Robots you are taking the role of a kid robot inventor and use all the cool things to make any robot your mind can envision, and with a lot of duct tape you can envision a bunch! With the action selection, resource management and simultaneous play you accumulate points by playing robot cards, getting good grades in class and by amassing points during the game through your robots. If any of that sounds cool this game is for you! I haven't even mentioned probably the part we love the most, the art. All the robots are unique creations and just are full of personality! We talk about our thoughts on the social misgivings of trolls and how they treat humans, wait no we are talking about how trolls are caretakers of human babies. No wait we are talking about how we are interior designers for princesses. Ummm, no. We are talking about Trolls & Princesses the BOARD GAME. This worker "movement" game is all about building out your cave, to make it spacious enough to house all the bells and princesses you are going to steal. This game is simplistic but deceptively tricky at the same time and it is gorgeous to look at to boot! Thank you for listening, we appreciate it!

Sanssouci, the game of making nobles stroll through various different landscapes. Well that may be a bit of over simplification BUT you do do that! Seriously this game is a great tile laying game, that in our opinion is equal part route building. See if we think this game is a keeper or not. We are talking about are new favorite 1v1 duel card game. This game is an engine builder at it's core, with some card drafting mixed in. This game plays fast like you will be mid way through the game and then in a couple of turns you will be out of life points! I know this from experience. Oh and I didn't even mention one of the best parts of the game and that is the art on the cards, so gorgeous! Hope you enjoy us gushing over just how good this game is. Thanks for listening!!

This week we set out to chart the stars, explore new lands and attempt to map all the lands near and far! Why would we want to do that you ask?? For points, silly! In all seriousness we are talking about Wayfarers of the South Tigris. This game attempts to have two types of worker placement going on at the same time. Oh yeah traditional worker and dice worker placement. But wait there's more! There is a main board that you are trying to get to the end of to trigger then end of the game, but getting there could be a challenge. So does it work?? You will have to listen to find out.

In Oros, ancient Greek for Mountain, you are playing as a demigod trying to teach your followers wisdom. You accomplish this by using the followers to perform various actions. Oros is a tile placement game where you don't draw the tiles, you create them. You are shifting land masses into one another to create mountains so you can build on them. It is grand and beautiful like many of Mozart's opuses and can be complex at times like most of Mozart's works. But is it brilliant........? We like heavy games in general, so when a listener and friend asked us to do a top 10 list comprised of heavy games it was a no brainer for us. The criteria for this list were that it had to be weighted by BGG at 3.75 with at least 25 ratings, had to be in our collection and we were judging them strictly from a 2 player perspective.
