Digging into the Hebrew roots of our faith in search of Scriptural truths long forgotten. In our studies together, we will examine the Hebrew culture, context, history and even the language to better understand the written Word and what it is trying to teach us. Because much of today's church theology is shrouded in tradition, from time to time, we will view some of the origins of these traditions and see if they indeed line up with biblical context.

In this episode, we take a deep dive into the connection between what it means to love God and keeping His commandments. Can the two be separated, as many believe today, or do the go hand in hand? We also discuss what being a saint really means, as it relates to Scripture.

In this episode we take a look at Yeshua's great commission. We have read this text time and time again, but could we have missed something? As we delve into the Hebraic view of what Yeshua was conveying to His followers, we will uncover a truth that we have previously missed. Countless messages have been preached on this topic, but the gist of what was being said has been lost on many of us.

In this episode, we take a look at a conversation that Yeshua had with a young man, and how the views of this young man is still held by the church today. We also discuss a very interesting question, allowing the word of God to answer for us, as opposed to us allowing someone to answer for us.

This is a re-recording of a teaching I did a couple of weeks ago. This teaching was inspired by a series I started a couple of years ago, but part way through I stopped feeling the leading of the Ruach, so I stopped. It wasn't until recently that I was awaken early in the morning and filled with the inspiration to complete it.

In this Table Talk episode, we get discuss the New Covenant? For many believers, the "New Covenant" is believed to be connected to Yeshua and His crucifixion. Many pastors teach that the moment that Yeshua was on the cross, and the burden of the Law was lifted and the age of grace began. But is this really what Scripture teaches? Did the Law really end the cross, or is it still in effect to this very day? Join me as we get into this teaching and discuss it from the Hebraic perspective based on Scripture, not modern theology. This is an episode that will surely kick over some sacred cows. Have you ever sat down and really thought about the "last supper", and whether it was an actual Passover seder or not? I'm sure many of us have been taught that it actually was a seder, but when you read the Torah, you start to find that there are some serious issues with this theology. In this episode, we take a deep dive into this question, and I promise you, the way you view this will never be the same again.

This is a re-recording of a teaching I did a few weeks ago. We hear the word "worship" quite often in church, but do we really have an understanding of what it looks like? In this episode, we take a look at the Biblical examples of worship and what it looks like.

So many people are under the belief that Yeshua ended that Law at the cross, but did He really do that? In this episode we take a deeper look at that what the Law was, the purpose for giving it, and how the believers in the 1st Century Church viewed it. We also tackle a few misconceptions taught in todays church culture and where they originated from. This episode is sure to kick over a few sacred cows and stir up conflict, but if you listen to the end I can assure you a few answers along with some hard truths.

In this episode we discuss Yeshua and His wilderness temptation through HaSatan. We discuss the two types of temptations and also about the two types of discernments. As we get into this, let us take a closer loom at where we are in Yeshua and determine which category do we fit in

Join us in this weeks episode as we discuss Yeshua's words to His disciples concerning the signs of His return and the end of this age. As we look at the world we live in today, evidence of the love of many growing cold has become more and more evident. In the light of things slowly coming to a high point, what should we as followers of Yeshua being doing to be prepared for His return?
In this weeks episode, we take a look into the two covenants. Are the really two distinct covenants, or are they one and the same? In our church culture today, there are quite a few things that we misunderstand due to both church tradition and mistranslations. We have turned error into theology on certain issues, and as a result, our views on truth has been distorted. Join me in this episode as we get into the covenant as it relates to the Bible.

In this weeks episode we discuss leadership from a biblical perspective in contrast to our church culture today. Why are we as a body of believers so fractured when the church is supposed to be one? Why are we so hungry for titles in the church? Do we even fully understand what it is to be a leader, or are we focused more on just being "that guy"? If we truly understood what it was to be a leader, would we be so hard pressed for that office? Let's get into this episode and see what the Bible has to say on this topic.
Have you ever really thought about what it means to follow Jesus from a biblical perspective. Many of us use the title "Christian" to define our faith, but have we really thought about what that looks like? Following Jesus implies that we walk in the manner that He walked, however, in our culture today, we are not walking fully in the manner He did. What about the apostles, how did they walk? Is our walk today the same as theirs was during the first century church. Join me in this episode as we get into these questions.
Have you ever wondered about what the gospel was? We see this word used throughout the New Testament, but it's one of those words that for the most part when hearing someone speak of it, it's meaning varies from one person to the next. In this episode, we attempt to analyze this word through it's textural context in hopes of finding a solid definition.
What is sin? How would you define this question if someone asked you? If you had to find a biblical definition to this question, where would you go? Many of us have an idea of sin, but lack the fullness of the understanding of jut what sin really is. In this episode, we take a closer look at sin, in hopes to understand it from a more biblical meaning. The question is, after learning about what sin really is, do we have the courage to not only recognize it in our own lives, but change our lives accordingly?
If you really knew what it was that YHVH wanted from you, would you still say "yes"? When asked this question, there is no doubt everyone would unanimously reply with yes, however, if what He desired from yuo caused you to be uncomfortable, or caused you to change some things that you actually love doing, would you still say yes? Sometimes there are things that YHVH requires that go far beyond what you may desire, but even in those moments, would you say yes? Prepare to be challenged with this one.

This is an re-recording of a message I did at church on March 30, 2024. For the original message, you can find it on the Beit Messiah Georgetown Facebook page on that same date
As the days draw near for the return of Messiah, it seems that the church is moving further and further away from being a bride without spot or blemish. Rather than drawing the world into the church, we are allowing the world to draw us to them. In the midst of all of this, the voices of the prophets of old are calling to us, trying to reawaken us to righteousness before judgement comes.
This is a recording of a message I did on February 24, 2024. The original message can be found on our church's face book page, Beit Messiah of Georgetown, Tx
In this episode, we get into the next installment of the Seeds Of Bad Fruit series. Lasciviousness is a word that we have all heard of, but accurately defining it is a whole different matter. Although various Bible versions use different words in place of it, because it is a Greek word, there really isn't a Hebrew equivalent word found in the Old Testament. That said, this study becomes a bit more challenging yet interesting. Join me as we get into "lasciviousness.
This episode was inspired by a conversation I had with a good friend on the Star of David. Having taken a look into it's origins, I felt led to look into the origins of the cross as well. This episode is based on my findings
This is a re-recording of a message I did on the 20th of January. To hear the original, check out the Torah Awakenings Facebook page where I shared it from my Church's page.
In this final epsiode of 2023, we get into a topic I believe needs to be addressed before we step into the New Year. This next year will truly be l;ike none other and it's time for the church to break out of the Matrix and into the fight? Yeshua is soon to return and we have a lot of work to do.
In this episode, we get into the the third seed of bad fruit, "uncleanness". As we dig deeper into these seeds, one thing that becomes clear is that not all of these seeds are directly connected to spirits, but instead are seeds that have been planted a long time ago and allowed to grow into fruit bearing trees. For this reason, we can fast and pray all night, yet have no victorious result because these are not necessarily sprits, but habits that have become a part of who we are. In order to be free from it's grip, in addition to prayer, we must identify the characteristics connected to the tree by means of spiritual discernment, and take steps to no longer walk in it. Join me in this episode as we get into "uncleanness".
In honor of Chanukkah, I wanted to take a different approach on why we celebrate this day, but not only that, but why the church as a whole should at the very least acknowledge it's importance, in that the events leading up to this day made it possible for us to have what we have today.
In this episode, we take a closer look at "fornication". When we hear this word, the first thing that comes to mind is sex before marriage, but as we take a deeper look at this word, there is so much more connected to it than we may have previously understood. We will take a look at both the Old and New Testament and see how this word was used so that me get a more deeper insight of what is being intended when we see this word.
In this long awaited teaching, we focus on Galatians 5 and began an in-depth study on the works of the flesh. We have all heard messages on the fruit of the Spirit, but not many pastors get into the works of the flesh. The problem with this is that we can not truly walk in the Spirit if we are still walking in the lust of the flesh. We have ben taught to copy the fruit of the Spirit, but we lack the total victory that comes with it because we have not defeated the works of the flesh. In this series, we will discuss each works of the flesh and identify it's root causes and then destroy it, thereby allowing us to finally walk in total victory.
In this episode we look into the Book of John to discuss two particular healings that revolved around two pools. We discuss the relevance of "washing" and just why Yeshua often told people to go wash after being healed. One of the stories that we will spend a lot of time on will no doubt blow some of your minds as you learn things you may not have heard before, and how some of the songs we have even been taught are actually based on pagan myths and not biblical facts
Love is such a complex topic. Many of us say we "love", but the definition of love varies from person to person. The Greeks had four different words to define love, whereas in the Hebrew, there is only one, and thats the way God see's it. In this episode we explore the nature of love, what it looks like, and how to determine if our profession of love lines up with our actions.
In this episode, we talk more about the "birth pains" that Yeshua mentioned to His disciples as He explained about the signs of His return. Things appear to have so crazy within the past few weeks, and although many of us would like to see there be peace with Israel, but the reality is, there will not be any peace. As we draw closer to the end, there will be even more conflict and anti-semitism against Israel. If this be the case, then what are we supposed to pray if these are things prophesied to happen before the return of Yeshua. Join me in this episode as we answer this question.
This was a re-recording from a message done in church today. In light of all of the terrible things going on in Israel, it seemed fitting to address a topic that went along with the war, and all of the divisiveness connected to to out.
In this weeks episode, we conclude the Mo'edim (holy days) cycle. The reading for this week is comprised of previous readings that are connected to this holy day. Sh'mini Atzaret is a huge celebration day, and is also considered a high holy day. This day is also connected to consummation of the Lamb and His bride.
In this weeks reading, in honor of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), we get into the significance of all of the Holy Days, leading up to Sukkot, and how they connect to our Messiah. Although most churches are opposed to recognizing these Biblical Holy Days, due to lack of understanding of them, perhaps after hearing this episode and maybe doing an in-depth personal study on this topic, some of their views just might change
In this weeks Parashah, Moses continues teaching the people the poem that YHVH told him to teach the people. This poem was to be a witness against future generations that could come and begin to break faith with YHVH. As a witness against these later generations, having been taught from generation to generation, the people would be without excuse when these things would come upon them. It ends with YHVH instructing Moses to ascend Mt Nebo, where he was to die and be gathered to his kin.
This is a re-recording of a message I did a few weeks ago. How do you envision what it is to enter into the presence of YHVH? In our Western culture, having never had a king, the idea of "reverence" is lost on us. Many of us have an idea of what it means, however, this is lost on a vast majority of believers, and because of this, it hinders the move of God from operating the way it truly desires. As we ponder this question, let us take a deeper look into this matter and see how we can correct it.
As the Fall feast begin, we are down to the last couple of chapters of the Book of Deuteronomy, which ends the Torah cycle. This weeks Parasha is dedicated to a theme that connects with Yom Teruah, being the first of the Fall Feast. Of the 2 themes, we focus on the binding of Isaac, and how this event is connected to one of the shofar blasts done during the Yom Teuah service
In Nitzavim (“Standing”), Moses addresses the Israelites, emphasizing the importance of following God’s covenant and of not worshiping other gods. He describes the process of repentance and returning to God, and stresses that God’s commandments are achievable and “not in the heavens.” Vayeilech (“He Went”) opens as Moses tells the Israelites that he will not lead them into the Land of Israel, and that Joshua will take over. He instructs the Israelites to gather and read Torah publicly every seven years. At God’s command, Moses writes a poem bearing witness to God’s covenant with the Israelites.
In this weeks parasha, we highlight one of the most well known chapters in the Torah, Deuteronomy 28. Everyone knows about this chapter, and churches all over enjoy citing the blessings mentioned for obeying God. We also know about the curses associated with not obeying God, but one of the biggest issues is that they fail to realize that these blessings for obeying YHVH are connected to them obeying His Torah. So on the one hand, they cheer about being recipients of the blessings while on the other hand denouncing the very thing that connects them to the blessings.
In this weeks episode, we get into various laws outlined in previous parasha's. Ki Teitzei covers more laws than any other Torah portion. Some the things highlighted are, rebellious sons, rape, kidnapping, laws of divorce, false charges against wives just to name a few.
In this weeks parasha, we get into "shoftim" the Hebrew word for "judges", and discuss the criteria for judges. One of the most interesting points about this parasha is that when discussing these judges, they are commanded to not be biased when judging, but rather call right right and wrong wrong, regardless of who the people are. In the case where the matter is to difficult, the people are commanded to go before the priests, who stand before YHVH, seeing as the stand before Him daily, their ruling is solid, seeing as these people are the epitome of integrity.
This is a re-recorded teaching I did at church on the Four (Five) Fold Ministry. If you are interested in knowing why I call it the "Four-fold ministry" as opposed to the "Five-fold ministry, then check out this episode
In this weeks episode, we read Parasha Re'eh, which mean see. Moses continues going over the history of Israel after crossing the Red Sea. Among the topics that Moses reiterates, we find him addressing idolatry, false prophets, dietary laws, and the year of release. In the midst of these topics, Moses continues to impress in the minds of Israel the importance of hearing, guarding and obeying the right rulings and ordinance of YHVH that it would not only go well with them, but their children as well.
I really wanted to share my heart on a topic that had being weighing on me for a few weeks now. This is one episode I would love to see go viral to all of my church family both known and unknown, with the intent that it might cause us to do a more in depth study on this topic.
This is one to share on your social media platforms as well as sending links to the webpage for those who do not use social media. Understanding this is a very controversial topic, fell free to message me on the Torah Awakenings webpage with any questions about this topic.
In this weeks episode, Moses continues recanting the history of Israel from the time of Mt Sinai until the present. Moses cannot emphasize enough the importance of them hearing, guarding and obeying YHVH's commands because not only are the life to the people, but observing them will ensure good success for the people. Moses also gives more insight to certain events that were mentioned in previous books but not explained much in detail. One of the highlights of this Torah portion is is Moses assures the people that not only are life, health and prosperity connected to Torah observance, but lands dependance on the latter rain is also hinged on this.
In this weeks parasha, Moses continues recanting the past events of YHVH from the time that they gathered at Mt Sinai until the present. In the midst of his message to the people, there is a recurring theme being emphasized to them, that he wants to drive to them before he leaves. Fully aware that he is about to die, his last words were words of encouragement and admonition to the people that they might have a good life in the land. This is by far one of the most amazing acts of a selfless leader.
In this weeks episode, we start the final book of the Torah. Deuteronomy, known in the Hebrew as D'varim, which means "words", is the recollection of Moses of all that had taken place from the time that they crossed the Yam Suf (Red Sea), until now. Considering how the book of Numbers ends, it is possible that this may have been what Moses told the people prior to anointing Joshua as his successor, and then heading up the mountain to die. In any case, as we read this book, we find several places were more insight is given to things that previously happened that may have seemed a bit vague as we read them.
This we week we wrap up the book of Numbers. The hot point for this week was Israel's vengeance on Midian. Interesting that prior to the events of last weeks parashah, Israel had no issue with Midian, but due to them listening to the foolish counsel of Ba'alam, they become a foe to them. Moses once again recounts the history of Israel, beginning with the exodus from Egypt until now. Finally, we end with the topic of marriage to female heirs
Pinchas is a very interesting parashah. He was known to be a person that was very zealous for the things of YHVH. He was the grandson of Aaron, and as such, was in line to inherit the priesthood after his father Eleazar. He is best known for his actions taken when YHVH sent a plague to destroy the people for so easily being enticed by the Midianite women to participate in their paganistic practices. While the people were being afflicted, Pinchas sees something that enrages him to the point that he took immediate actions, which resulted in him receiving a great reward from YHVH. We also get into the various sacrifices, and the rites of inheritances.
In this episode of Table Talk, we take a look at a very interesting topic, seldom addressed by pastors. Lashon Hara is a Hebrew word often translated as "negative talk", but literally means "an evil tongue". At first glance, one might think that this solely refers to speaking lies about a person, or just flat out disrespecting someone, when in all actuality, it goes much deeper than that. La Shon Hara can also refer to a spoken truth about a person as well. I'm sure at this point you are probably scratching your head to figure this one out. Join me now as we get into this one.....
In this episode, we take a minute to study the name of the Father and it's relevance in the life of the believer. We have gotten so accustomed to using titles rather than His name, but should we actually use His name in prayer, or does that really matter today?
In this episode, we take a look at how the culture aware is affecting the church, and how HaSatan uses it as a weapon to destroy the church. Everyone knows that YHVH has a Torah, but could it be possible that HaSatan also has one? The church has been taught that Torah, or the Law ended at the cross, but if this indeed is the case, why would HaSatan feel the need to have his own torah today?
In this weeks Parasha, we take a look at Korach and his rebellion against Moshe. It is so interesting how after all YHVH had done for Israel by the hand of Moshe, that the people continuously challenged and attacked him for every little thing. Moses sets an amazing example of what real leadership looks like in that when challenged, he never attacks back, understanding that if indeed YHVH has called him, and he is doing what he is being instructed, there is no need to vindicate himself because YHVH will do it for him. But why do the people continue to challenge him so much? There has to be more to it. In this episode, we will also touch on this as well
In this weeks parasha, we discuss the 12 spies who were sent to spy out the land. It was an exciting time, in that the Israelites were finally going to step into the promise that was given to the patriarchs. Although still learning what it is to trust YHVH, the people really had problems in that area, and adding to this struggle, having to deal with the negative report of 10 of the 12 spies. We also discuss the punishment for sowing seeds of discord within the community.
In this weeks episode, we get into Parasha Beha'alotcha, and discuss the cleansing of the Levites, as well as their length for service in the temple. we also get into the second Passover, and why there is one. One of the most interesting aspects of this parasha is about the cloud that covered the tabernacle, and how when it moved, the people followed it whether it was day or night. We close this one out discussing YHVHs anger towards Miryam for speaking against Moses, and what we can learn from this event.
In this weeks parasha, Moshe does a census for the Levites and based on the lineage, gives everyone their area of responsibility as it related to temple duties. Moshe also explains the laws dealing with women who have husbands that have reason to believe that their wife has been unfaithful. YHVH then gives Moshe a prayer to teach Aaron and his sons, to say over the people. This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful prayers in Torah. When done correctly, YHVH assures Moshe that He Himself would come and bless the people afterwards. Unfortunately, today, many congregations recite this prayer weekly, however, not the way YHVH intended. Join us this week as we get into Parasha Nasso.
In this episode, take a look at Romans 1, finding a contrast between the letter of the Apostle Paul to the church of Rome and the world we live in today. As Paul discusses the fall of mankind at the time of his writing, we are seeing more and more of this as being evident today than ever before. Paul points out that the problem as that as the people forget God and become unthankful, their hearts eventually become darkened. There eventually comes a point where the heart becomes dull and undiscerning. So how do we fix this. Join us as we dig into this matter in todays episode.
This is without a doubt one of the most difficult issues I have had to tackle to date. In this episode, we address some very hard topics and expose some harsh realities connected to them. We are at a point that we as the people of YHVH must make a clear and distinct difference between that which is acceptable by YHVH and that which is not. We are called to a higher standard and as such, we must represent Him even when it is not popular to do so. Ultimately, there comes a time that we realize that it is the choices we make in life that determine just who the God is that we serve, whether it's in obedience unto life or disobedience unto death.

Bamidbar is the first parashah in the book of Numbers. As we get into this book we start off with the establishing of Israel's new army. As Moses begins to organize the people by tribes, he is instructed to not include the Levites in the count. While the other tribes are being established as the fighting force for the people, YHVH has other plans for the Levites. Remembering the promise He made to the Levites after the rallied to Moses' cry about who was on the Lord's side, He then established them to be His chosen people to serve Him and intercede on behalf of Israel. Within the tribe of Levi, YHVH chooses the lineage of Aaron to be His priests, thereby allowing them to go before His presence. Although this is a short parashah, there are some very good things being taught.

In this new multi episodic series, we get into various topics addressing where the church currently is, as opposed to where Yeshua intended it it be. In a world gone crazy, it is time for the church to once again be the light to the nations that it was called to be. The first century church serves as a model as to what this looks like. It was the prototype of the future Kingdom of Yeshua which is comprised of both Jew and Gentile alike. Although the Jews were YHVH's chosen people, we as non Jews were meant to be part of the commonwealth of Israel, not as Gentiles who converted to Jews, but rather Gentiles who became a part of the Kingdom of YHVH by means of submitting to His Torah, as the law of the land.

In this weeks episode, we complete the book of Leviticus. As we get into this parashah, we are introduced to another type of sabbath. For most, they are only aware of the weekly sabbath, but as we have learned in previous episodes, there is a sabbath week, which we are counting now as we near shavuot. We get into the yearly sabbath which leads into the Jubilee. The Jubilee is an amazing time for the people. During the Jubilee, we learn that all property is returned to its rightful owners, as all debts are forgiven. We also learn about the kinsmen redeemer, and what he does for his kinsmen who have fallen on hard times. Finally, we conclude this parashah with the blessings for obeying Torah and the punishments for not obeying Torah.

This episode is a call for us to take a closer look at some the things we have been taught, and view them through the lenses of Scripture. I believe that YHVH is calling us into a higher place in Him, but in order to get there, we need to put things back into perspective, leaving church doctrine for that of biblical doctrine.

In this weeks episode, we discuss a few of the qualifications for the Levitical priest who served YHVH. One of the qualifications that stood out most was the prohibition on women they were forbidden to marry. Although the list of unqualified women fit to be wives for these priest were fit to be wives for the other tribes, it becomes apparent that it is about a clear distinction being made between the conduct of the priests and that of the laity. Just as there was a distinction between the Levites who served and the laity, there should equally be a clear distinction between church leaders and the laity. One of the most interesting qualifications for those who serve before YHVH deals with physical defects. YHVH makes it clear that no person with a defect is permitted to stand before Him. Could this be considered discrimination on the part of YHVH, or is there a deeper reason for this stance? Finally, we touch on the Biblical holy days in an attempt to dispel the myth held by many "believers", that these "holy days" are for the Jews only.

One of the topics that gets the least amount of discussion is that of Hasatan and how he operates. In fact the few churches that do take the time to address Hasatan, address him from the perspective of him causing trouble in your jobs, or even in your set aside time with the father, when the reality of it is this, causing you sickness in your body or attacking your family is the least of his concerns. His game plan is much bigger than that. If he can cause you to veer off from following YHVH, or even cause you to compromise in areas that should not be compromised, thats a win for him. A believer walking in error or ignorance is much more valuable to him than an unemployed or sick believer is. Consider one bad apple in a bowl of good ones. In a matter of time, that bad one will begin to corrupt the rest. In todays episode, we take a bigger look at some of the ways HaSatan operates on a a more grander scale, and discuss how we should react to it now that we are aware of it.

In this weeks double Parashah, we cover a myriad of controversial topics from child sacrifices to Molech to the biblical views on sexual misconduct and same sex relationships. YHVH has a lot to say on these topics, and in many places we find that He is repetitive on on His stance as it relates to them. Nonetheless, what the Scripture says is what the Scripture says, and it is our responsibility to line up with the word if we desire to be blameless in His eyes. We also get into the rules governing animal sacrifices, and the institution for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

This we discuss a very interesting topic. One of the most difficult things to grasp is the topic of dealing with leprosy and the process that has to undergone when handling these cases. Most bibles gravitate towards this skin disease as leprosy, but the problem with this definition is that the characteristics of this particular disease does not act like leprosy in any way. Contextually there is a deeper connection between the way this disease is contracted, and the fact that it can also affect clothing as well as homes. To gain better insight of this, we take a look at one of go-to sources for deeper insight.

In this Parashah, we get focus on the death of Aaron 2 sons. What exactly did they do that caused YHVH to consume them in fire. There are several different views on exactly what caused this out come, but we take a look at the two most common. Also, we dive back into the biblical diet. YHVH never gave us a reason for why He declared some things as clean and others as unclean, but he did end it by stating "I am YHVH" at the ending. We discuss possible reasons for Him telling us that certain things should not be eaten by us, and what the outcome could be for not obeying. Though many in the church totally disagree with the idea of certain things being forbidden to eat, the Bible makes it clear that regardless how we disagree, this is still the opinion of YHVH on it

In this episode we attempt to make a connection between the resurrection of Yeshua and Firstfruits. Have you ever wondered, when reading the gospel accounts of the resurrection why Yeshua hung around after He arose? According to the gospels, when He appeared before Mary Magdalene, she grabbed ahold of Him, but He insisted that she release Him since he had not yet appeared before the Father. When taking a look at these accounts from a more Hebraic perspective, there is a pretty significant gap in time between the time He arose until the the time He presented Himself to the Father. After 3 days and 3 nights in the grave, you would think He would have gone right away, but he didn't. In the end, I will share with you my thoughts on this question, and what I believe may have been the case, when considering a few things about the Bible

Since we are entering into the Holy Days, this weeks Torah Parashah reflects the passover, a topic we have already covered in previous Parashahs, I decided to take a different approach and get into the origins and institutions of these Holy Days. So many believers are caught up between church traditions that date back over. a thousand years to the extent that they have no idea of the difference between church tradition and biblical facts. That said, we get into the text to see what it has to say about these so called "Jewish feasts" as the church calls them, and get into the origins of where they came from. I challenge all church leaders to listen to this episode, and then re-read Leviticus 23 for further context. Allow the word alone to be your truth, and then revisit this topic with your congregation, and teach them what the Bible says, rather than teaching church traditions

This week, YHVH instructs Moses to anoint the Tabernacle, Aaron and his sons for Temple service. YHVH teaches Moses about the various sacrifices that are to be done, and how they are to be conducted. We dig into these sacrifices from the Hebrew perspective, and explain them in more detail. For those who are only familiar just the sin sacrifice, this will be quite eye opening for you. Join me this Shabbat as we get into this amazing parashah.

This weeks episode begins in the book of Leviticus as we discuss various sacrifices being done by the priest on the behalf of the people. Some very interesting things pop out as we delve into the first parashah of this book. One thing that really stands out is how YHVH identifies with us as a people, and how when we do wrong by them, He has also been wronged, in fact, He has been wronged first. Join me in this segment as we take a closer look at this text.

This week, we finally complete the book of Exodus. With two books down, we have 3 more to go and things are heating up. As we close out Exodus, Moses and the children of Israel finally complete the Tabernacle, and all of its utensils, the Ark of the Covenant, and the priestly garments for Aaron and his sons. Having completed everything down to the last detail, the glory of YHVH begins to rest upon the Tabernacle, showing His approval for the finished work.

In this weeks parashah, we get into Moses' incredible relationship with YHVH, and how he was permitted to actually see the back of YHVH as He passed by him. We discuss what it was that made Moses such an amazing leader, in that regardless how much they attacked him in the heard times, he continued to stand by them, even to the point he was willing to have his name erased from the Book of Life along with the people. we also discuss Aaron, and the pressure he faced when while being alone with the people, they pressed him on making a "god" for them since Moses had been gone for so long.

In this weeks Parashah, we get into the instructions Moses received from YHVH for making the priestly garments that Aaron and his sons are to wear when going into the Tent of Meeting to perform Temple duties. These garments were to be set apart from their normal attire, and used only for ministerial purposes. As we take a closer look into this, we find that YHVH actually is concerned with how we present ourselves before Him.

This is a re-recorded version of a teaching I recently did at church. This version differs from the original recording in that this version goes more into the things I had studied in preparation for service. The overall focus is to understand that we are nothing in the presence of YHVH, and that the moment we understand this, YHVH becomes even bigger than we ever imagined, and once this is realized, the way we see Him changes everything about us, causing us to be fit for His call.

In this weeks parashah, Moses receives instructions from YHVH on erecting the Temple, the Ark, all of the necessary utensils, and the coverings. Moses is given very specific details, covering even the most minute details as it relates to this task. Upon receiving all of the instructions, Moses flawlessly gave these details to all those involved with this project. We take a look into how in depth these details were that Moses had been given and how miraculous it was for him to remember it all without taking notes. We also look at how the people wholeheartedly gave from their heart all the things needed to finish this product. There is so much to be learned from their heart to give for the completion of the Temple.

In this weeks Parashah, we take a look at a handful of principles given to Moses from YHVH. Although it is only a small number of things touched on, in them we can see a few the beginning of what should rightfully be termed as the "Kingdom Mentality". YHVH makes it clear to Moses the the keeping of these "teachings" are the basis of this "covenant relationship" He is establishing with the people. The people, fully understanding that the only way for them to be His people, and Him their God is to accept these terms, and so the all unanimously agree. We touch a few of these precepts and discuss them in detail to better understand what it is God requires from us.

In this weeks Parashah, we take another look at the humbleness of Moses as a leader. As Yitro (Jethro), his father-in-law checks him on the way he handles judging the people, rather than being prideful and taking offense, he listens to the voice of wise council and implements it into the way he does business in the future. We also get into the establishing of the marriage covenant between YHVH and Israel. As Moses takes word back to the people, understanding a choice needed to be made, the happily accept the terms, thereby officially connecting them to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

This episode is a re-recording of a message I did at church yesterday. In this episode, we get into the interesting topic of "knowing" God verses "knowing of" God. With so many people claiming to know God today, I just felt the urge to take a deeper look into what it actually looks like to know Him. Taking inspiration from the Gospel of Matthew, we find a parable told by our Lord about people who clearly assumed they knew Him, only to find out to late that they really didn't. In this parashah, we discuss the trials Moses had to deal with as a representative of YHVH for the people of Israel. Although he was simply the messenger, any little thing that happened became Moses' fault. We discuss lessons learned about leadership from Moses' perspective. We also get into the story of Amalek, and why YHVH wanted his lime blotted from the earth. In this parashah, we read about the Sabbath for the first time since creation, and learn that contrary to popular belief, it isn't a "Jewish Sabbath", but rather a "Sabbath to YHVH.

In this weeks Parashah, we continue with Moses standing before Pharaoh. Eight plagues in, Pharaoh's heart is still hard, and he refuses to recognize Yehovah as God. We take a brief look at what it may have been about Pharaoh that made him so arrogant towards Yehovah, despite the terrible plagues he was forced to deal with. We also take a a look at the establishing of the Passover and how it is connected to the ministry of Yeshua.

This is a re-recorded message I recently taught in church. The question is asked, what dies it look like, getting back to the basics. It is a call for the church to come back to a place where our focus was not so much on the four walls of our church, but on ministry opportunities, which are basically positions we find ourselves where an opportunity to share the gospel arises. It is time for us as the church to begin to resemble that of the church the Apostles had built, on the revelation that Yeshua was Messiah.

In this weeks Parashah, we get into the showdown between YHVH and Pharaoh. As Moshe and Aharon stand before Pharaoh as ambassadors of the one true God, Pharaoh is determined to stand his ground no matter what. Plague after plague, YHVH consistently shows Himself as God as He renders the various god's of Egypt powerless to stand before Him. As we look into these various plagues, we can only come to the conclusion that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the one true God, as He begins to do unexplainable acts, never before heard of since the beginning of time.

This is the first episode on my series of teachings on the weekly Torah parashah. With the last of the Holy Days for this year coming to an end, we will be going through the entire Torah beginning with Genesis, and ending at Deuteronomy. This Parasha is called B'reshit (B'-reh-sheet) in Hebrew, which basically means "in the beginning". The names for the books of Torah are usually named for specific words within the first few sentences of the first verse of a chapter.

As we wrap up the last of God's mo'edim, we briefly reflect on some of the things that stand out about this holy day. At close examination, there are so many connections to the ministry of Yeshua in various aspects found throughout each of these days that one can't help but wonder why we would not want to observe them. We also learn that of all of the holy days, this specific mo'edim will be observed in the kingdom reign of Yeshua, but this, not just by the Jews, but by ALL of creation.

As the first day of Sukkot begins, we look at the connection between this most holiest of days in connection to the possible birth of Yeshua. Although there is a lot of debate on this coming from both Messianic Believers and Christian alike, one still cannot ignore the possibilities of it being true, based on quite a bit of Scriptural evidence. One thing for sure though, even if it is NOT on the first day of Sukkot, we know without a doubt that it is NOT on the 25th of December

In this segment, we revise some of the info brought out on a previous teaching of the same name. As we continue to study the proper name of the Creator, more segments will be added to this teaching. With much confusion on the proper name of the Creator, I wholeheartedly believe that this topic is well worth the research. Contrary to the views of the many, the name of Yehovah was given to us to speak, to pray, and to vow in, but how can we do this if we can't even agree on what to call Him. And whereas so would say, it really doesn't matter, to them I would say, if it didn't matter, why then is it found over 6000 times in the Bible, or why does He instruct us to use it, if indeed it does not matter?

As we prepare for the beginning of the "Fall Feast", it only seemed right to do a teaching about exactly when they begin. There is a cloud of debate surrounding what day Yom Teruah, or Rosh HaShana, as it's known today, actually begins. A majority of people, comprising of both Orthodox Jews and Messianic Jews prefer to rely on the calendar, however, there are still others, like myself, that prefer the method of sighting the New Moon as a marker, much like ancient Israel did. In this segment, we delve into what the Bible says as opposed to todays tradition. There are countless views on what is right, or even who is right, but at the end of the day, it should be about what the Bible says, that we all hold as right. At the end of the day, I do not want it to be assumed that I am "shooting shots" at the views of others, and as always, you are free to believe how you see fit. After a long break from the Book of Galatians, we dig back into D. Thomas Lancaster's book comprised of various teachings that he has taught on the book over the years. Rather than doing an individual study on this book, it made more sense to just read what he had to say and elaborate on it when needed. The book of Galatians is one of the most misunderstood books in the Bible, yet something that must be tackled to give mainstream Christianity a deeper understanding of what the Apostle Paul was trying to convey to the Gentile believers. We must never ever lose sight of the the fact that Paul was writing to a Gentile congregation under the assumption that a Jewish conversion was a must, if one expected to be saved from the wrath to come, and for this reason he sought to dispute this false theology.

Inspired by Deuteronomy 16-18, we discuss the perversion of justice as it relates to our world today. Torah outlined what justice looked like and how the land would prosper. The founding fathers mirrored the Torah's concepts of justice to great degree, and because of this, the nation prospered to the point of becoming a great nation and a super power. As the decades past on, we began to revise and amend this system to fit the ideals of the people today, and as a result, we have began to decline. At this point, only a return to Yehovah, and His justice can we stop the doom we are currently destined for.

With there being such a debate going on about the relevance of Torah, as it relates to non-Jews, it just seemed high time to address this issue. it would seem both sides have similar views on whether or not Torah observance is for the non Jews or not. For the Church, the view is that Torah ended with Yeshua on the cross, therefore it is irrelevant. To the Messianic Jew, it would seem that the see it as being optional but not necessary. With so many people fully persuaded that the Apostle Paul championed the idea that the Torah/Law was ended at the cross, a serious question needs to be asked. Who's following who? According to the teachings of Yeshua, His Apostles, formerly being Disciples were commanded to likewise make Disciples of men, and teach them what He had taught them. If their guidance was to teach men, what He taught them, and then one of them goes out and teaches contrary to His own teachings, and then we decide to follow that person, then are we following Yeshua, or are we following someone else? In this segment, we take a closer look at what it is to be a follower of Yeshua, according to the text.

In this episode, we take a look at a few core church teachings, and match them up with things the Bible teaches as it relates to them. The beginning statement "what if", followed by a current belief held today causes us to take a deep look into our personal theology, to see if the knowledge of the truth would cause us to make the necessary change to align with the text, or would we simply brush it off because it takes to much effort to change. As we look at these points, I believe that as believers, we need to take a deep look into our so called faith, and make a decision in favor of the word. In choice contrary to the word will tell us where we really are in our walk.

After a long pause from our study on this book, we finally pick up where we left off. As one of the most misunderstood letters written by Paul, many believers have an extreme misconception of what Paul was trying to express to this Gentile Church. One of the first things that need to be understood is that this was NOT a Jewish, but rather a Gentile congregation, and as such, there were a lot of erroneous theologies brewing in this congregation that Paul needed to dispel. As we recap our previous studies, we rebuild the foundation of understanding that has since been forgotten, and begin to replay what we have learned so that we can move on to the next part, and not be lost

In this bonus episode, we re-visit the debate on the name of God, and the "does it really matter" response that most people give when their argument gets shut down. True enough, it is NOT a heaven or hell issue, but at the same time, if it was NOT meant for man to use it, then why would God so freely give it to us? Knowing one's name denotes intimacy and familiarity with a person, and from what is revealed about God in the text, these are two things He definitely desires from His people. The only thing we need to do is to do our due diligence as to what exactly is this name.

In this episode, we take a look at some of the views that Churchianity has on both Torah and the Jews. We look at how a bulk of church theology stems from a lack of understanding of Scriptures from a Hebrew perspective. Because of this, many believers have a cloudy understanding of some of the deeper aspects of what is written in the text. This understanding was robbed from the church the moment that the Hebrew roots of our faith was divorced from the church. The church was never intended to be divided between Jew and Gentile, but united in one, and until the church reunites, it will continue to function in a state of incompleteness

Becuase of the fact that a certain can go either way, the person picking cherries tends to focus on things that go in the direction they want. Romans 10:9-10 is best known for being the go to verse for leading new converts to Yeshua. Undobtedly one of the best known new testament passages, but does it fully outline what it takes for one to be saved? Many churches use this passage to lead people to the Lord, but fail in the area of letting people know that this merely opens up the door to salvation. For this reason, many are under the impression that after confessing and believing, that they are "good". From this theology, many people are of the belief that "once saved alway saved", and therefore feel that after doing this, they can go back to their old way of life, as long as they have conferssed and believed. As we get into this episode, we are going to look at this in hopes of getting a deeper understanding on what being saved really looks like.

After nearly 2 months of reading the Gospels with my family, I began to see some interesting issues within them. 3 out of the 4 Gospels record the day of the crucifixion out of order. I had never noticed it before, but after spending nearly 3 1/2 years studying Torah, I found myself having a deeper understanding for reading the New Testament. Many of the things Yeshua both said and did, made so much more sense to me. I found myself noticing things that I had not previously seen, which sparked some interesting dialogue with my family. Im in this episode, we look into one of the biggest issues I had found, and strive to figure out how it came to be. As a disclaimer, this episode is in no way trying to challenge the bible, but rather point out issues found in the translations.

In this installment, we look at Paul's letter to the Roman's and what he had to say them back then, and how it relates to us today. In the midst of everything he wrote, one phrase stands about above everything else. As we look at this phrase, we will look at how it relates to us in todays time.

In today's episode, we discuss a couple of pressing issues as it relates to Torah. Many believers are under the belief that the dietary laws of Torah was something solely for the Jews, and that as time went on, ended up being abolishwed on the cross. Is this really what the Scriptures teach us, or have we been misled? We also discuss the Holy days outlined in Leviticus 11, to see if they really did end at the cross, as we have been taught, or is this something else that we have been misinformed on? Although there are so many more things that can be addressed, these are two of the main ones that need to be touched upon.

In this episode, we get into the second installment of Table Talk, as we get into a letter of Paul, as he discusses his thoughts on Torah. So many have been taught that the Torah, or the Law ended at the cross, but when considering this Epistle of the Apostel Paul to the church in Rome, clearly this was not his thoughts as it relates to this issue. If indeed Torah, or the Law is NOT done away with, that what exactly do we need to do to fall back in line with what the Bible teaches?

Sharing some thoughts on my mind as it relates to the Kingdom Mind. I have heard this preached about in so many churches, yet never taught about what exactly this is. There has to be some guideline which we can use to clarify what exactly the Kingdom Mindset is, but without one, everyone is forced to come up with their own definition. In this segment, we discuss the Biblical definition to what this is.

This week, while studying, I really felt a strong need to share some of the things Daniel Lancaster had written in his book on Paul's letter to the Galatians. There were some points that he brought out that seemed so mindblowing that I had to quote directly from the book. As we take a closer look at Paul's epistle, we truly get a new look at him, and his mindset as he penned this letter to his beloved Gentile believers. After understanding what Paul was dealing with, and the issues that Gentile church faced, we can now understand what it was that he was conveying to them, and why he said it the way he did

In this segment, we delve into some of the Jewish writings on the younger years of Abram, the father of faith. Looking at some of these writings, we can get an idea what it was that God saw in him, causing him to be the one to receive the Covenant. As we understand more about young Abram, we can understand the factors leading up to the encounter that caused God to speak to him. The promise of Abraham is the basis for this study as we examine the Apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians, and what he was trying to convey to them as he addressed the law being our schoolmaster, leading us to Yeshua

Many believers claim to know God, but are unaware of the difference between knowing Him over knowing of Him. In this installment we take a close look at what it is to really know Him as opposed to merely knowing of Him. As always, we view both Old and Ne testament verses to get a clear distinction between the two, that we may get a better picture of where we really stand on this issue.
What do you do when your theology comes in conflict with the word of God? Do change your theology to line up with the Word, or do you disregard the word and justify why you keep your theology?
What is it about the Sabbath that causes the people of God to fight against it? Not long after entering the long awaited Promised land, the people began to shun the Sabbath, despite the emphasis that God had placed on it. Because of this, numerous calamaties had befalling the Israelites. During the time of Yeshua, people had become more faithful to the Sabbath, and it had even extended to the Gentiles who had been grafted into the church by means of the Apostles, however, only a few cneturies after the apostles, the Gentile led church changed everything concerning what Scripture tells us about the Sabbath, and as a result, the church has become like Israel in many ways. Although no longer connected to the Jewish peopole, the church has become like ancient Israel in their disregard of the Sabbath. So, are we to believe that Sabbaths are irrelevant to Gentiles now? Today we will dig into the scriptures to see what it has to say on this issue.
Everyone claims to strive to be "like-Christ", but not many have a clear idea exactly what this means. There are scores of ideas and definitions what this means to us as individuals, but what does the Bible teach about this? In this installment, we dig deep into the culture and mindset of the people to get a clear picture of what Yeshua taught, and how it was understood by the 12 people who were closest to Him
In this installment, we take a look at Christmas from a biblical stance. The intention of this teaching is not geared towrds bashing the holiday, citing all the alleged pagan connections to it, but instead we look at it from a biblical view, while comparing it to a biblical example of celebrating God in the way we choose as opposed to the way He establishes.
After the last episode, I felt the need to go more into detail on what Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23. While teaching about the Marriage Feast Of The Lamb, I referrenced this passage and while reading it, something hit me mid stridew. I addressed a little, but felt the need to come back to it later after I had more time to study on it. This was a very puzzling story, in that Yeshua told these believers that He never knew them, despite the fact that they worked miracles, and cast out demons in His name. Despite all this, He labeled them as people who practiced lawlessness. Today we dig into this to get more insight on it. Prayerfully, what we learn will assure us that we do not share the fate of these other believers. I would totally love to hear your thoughts, questions and concern on this, either in the comments or by means of my email below.

Have you ever done a study on ancient Jewish weddings? Quite interesting that the Apostle John is shown a wedding feast for the Lamb as He prepares to come for His church. In this segment, we look into the format of a jewish wedding of the day to get a clearer understanding for this idea being expressed in the The Book of Revelation. There are so many rich and spiritual connections to the process of going through the meeting, proclamation of marriage, sealing of the contract, and the return of the groom for the bride.
Yeshua commanded us to be a people of prayer, but in a world turned upside down, what do we pray? What should we focus on? Many of us, out of good intentions are praying prayers that are actually going against the will of God. How can we be asure that we are praying according to His will and not against it? In this episode, we analyze a few things going on in the world, and contrast it with what the words tells us. I believe that through these things, we can begin to pray prayers according to the will of God as well as find well needed answers for what we can do in addition to praying
Whats in a name? Do names even matter? There was a time long ago when names were very important. People thought long and hard on what they would name their child. In the ancient times, the people understand that there was something speacial about ones name. They understood that the name of a child connected them to their purpose and identity. This being the case, people took naming the child serious. This dates back all the way to the Garden of Eden, when Adam named his wife. with this in mind, have you ever given thought to the name of our Creator. Many faiths today are fine with ascribing a generic title to his character, robbing him of the name that defines his character, essence and identity. Today we are going to takew a closer look a this and see what we can learn
In this episode, we dig further into understanding just what this curse is that Paul keeps referring to. Are we to believe that the observance of Torah places one under a curse, or is there a deeper meaning behind this idea?
Have you ever wondered, if Torah was truly done away with at the cross, why did Paul feel the need to address it to the Galatians? Could it be that they were already aware of Torah, and were trying to keep ut prior to the arrival of Paul, or could there be another reason? Was Torah observance given by God to the people as a means of salvation, or was it a standard in which expected His people to walk in as a means to show themselvews set apart from the world?
Everyone knows the story of Jesus and the man at the pool of Bethesda. The Scripture tells us that he had been there for 38 years. But how many of us know the story behind the pool of Bethesda? Understanding the story behind this pool may chanfge your perspective on this story. Not only that, but you may even find out how wrong our understanding of the texts is when we fail to have a keen insight on the culture of the day.
As we get down down to the last 2 weeks before the coming of the Fall Feast of YHVH, we discuss the relevance of them and whether or not they should apply to non Jews or not. The one point that must be acknowledged is that these Moedim are NOT merely the feast of the jews, as Churchianity has taught for centuries, but rather that they are the Feast of YHVH
Sharing a teaching I did at church yesterday, inspired by last weeks Parasha Vaetchanan
Was on my heart to address churchianity's use of the title of Apostle. Do Apostles exist today, in the way they were understood in the first century, or are we being flooded with a surge of misunderstood believers following church tradition?
In this episode, we get back to Galatians 3:10-12. The Apostle Paul said some very noteworthy things that I believe gets totally overlooked by churchianity. As we look more closely at what he is telling the Gentile church in Galatia, there are definetly some things that must be discussed if we want to get a clearer understanding of what he has to say
This is a re-recording from a teaching I did in church yesterday. I cut corners yesterday for the sake of time, so a lot was left out. That siad, I felt it necessary to do this in its entirety here, where there are no time restraints. Hope you enjoy
It is common knowledge that there is only one Gospel, but there are actually two gospels. For many, this is totally unhers of, however we find this in scripture. What are these two gospels, and how do we differentiate between the two?In today's episode, we will into both of these gospels, and find this out. We will also delve into church authority, and how it was set up according to first century church customs
In this segment, we begin to take a closer look at the social structure of the church during the time of the Apostles. Once we understand these 3 categories of believers, we can then get a deeper understanding of the pressures felt by the Gentile believers that caused them to feel the need to become proselytes. Realizing that the Gentiles had a bad grasp on the plan of God concerning them, Paul felt the need to pen this epistle to them, sternly opposing the idea that it was necessary for them to become Jews in order to be save
Today is the birthday of the church. As we come to the end of the counting of the Omer, which began on the day after the Sabbath, in accordance to Leviticus 23:15-22, we end it by celebrating the day that the church was birthed, and recognizing God's plan to ultimately bring both Jew and Gentile together as one. The focus today is on ways we can observe this holy day, apart from there being a temple or a functioning levitical priesthood in place
The Ruach HaKodesh, or Holy Spirit as it is known is possibly one of the most misunderstood persons of the Godhead. Many churches understand Him and His operations from Western world perspective, completely separated from the Hebraic description given in Scripture. In today's segment, we attempt to shed a little more light on just who He is, and just how He was intended to operate in our lives
Wrapping up Galatians 2:16-21. The Apostle Peter ponce wrote concerning the Apostle Paul, that his writings were hard to understand, and that those who are unlearned twist them to thier own demise. With this in mind, the fact that those referred to as the "unlearned" were Gentiles, like us, who did "not" have a backaground in Torah, nor were the Torah literate, can we really think thaty we understand his writtings any better than those of his day? If we were to be honest about this, the answer would be no, we cannot assume that we understand his writtings any better than they did, and if indeed this be the case, we need to take another look at his writtings aprt from what is tasught in churches.
Taking on a study through Paul's Epistle to the Galatians, Chapter 1:1-2:15. This is one of the most interesting, yet misunderstood of Paul's epistles. The content addressed in this letter is more often misunderstood by the modern church, causing many to have a misconception of what Paul is trying to get across. To help understnad this epistle, we take a look at the audience, to find out who they were, what they believed, and most importantly, what exactly went on there that motivated Paul to write this letter. This study will be a series on the entire book of Galatains. Join me as we dig into this epistle, to understand it they way it was intended
Many people misunderstand the meaning of the dream Peter had in Acts 10. Common teaching on this subject is that mankind was given the green light to eat whatever they want. But is this really what the text is saying? Churchianity believes that there are no food restrictions any more, but the question has to be asked, where did this teaching come from? Did the Paul change this Law? And if so, by what authority? whay was he the only one that tauight this? Could there indeed be tow laws, one for the Jew and anorther for ther gentiles? And if so, how can the arguement be made that Christ is NOT divided, when clearly He must be?
In the midst of all the division and confusion surrounding when Passover is, and when the counting of the Omer begins, I just thought this would be a great topic to touch on to bring clarity according to the Texts. With so many views being held on when to and not to do things, we will go to the Bible to see what it says, as opposed to church leadership. In this way, we can see and discern for ourselves what truth is, based on the Text alone, and not the views of another.
Most believers of Yeshua have heard of Passover, yet have no idea what it is all about. The church has taught that Passover is a "Jewish" holy day, yet are oblivious to the fact that YHVH Himself addresses this holy day, as well as seven other holy days as "His appointed times" or "Feasts of the YHVH". Interestingly enough, they have been written off as being Jewish only, unaware of the fact that in instituting these days, YHVH was showing His people how He desired to be honored and His deeds of old celebrated. The question asked is this though, is celebrating the God who created us to be viewed as a "Jewish" only thing, or should we all celebrate our God as one people. In additoon to looking at this, we also look into the story of the crucifixion, to determine if indeed Yeshua really was crucifed on "Good Friday", or was it another day? Can we eved detrmine this? I today's episode, we will look into all of these things in hopes of gaining a more perferct understanding of the text.

WHen reading the Scriptures, one of the primary focuses should always be Biblical context. Many believers rewad the Bible, but fall short of looking at the context of what is being said, and because of this, come out with an innaccurate understanding of what the Bible is teaching us.another aspect is that we fail to understand the Bible's foundation, which is the Torah. Everything stems from this foundation, and our understanding needs to start here, if we are to fully understand it. For this reason, we need more teaching on this Bible, and not just preaching, if we are going to rightly walk this thing out. In this segment, we address an erroneous teaching on the irrelevance of Torah to today's believer

What if I were to tell you that there were 2 Jesus'? Not necessarily in the literal sense, but rather in observances. Most of us know that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, to Jewish woman, who was also a descendant of David. We know that He both lived and died there, and that His entire life was based in Jewish life, which included religeous techings and observances. But the Jesus we know today look nothing like the Jesus that died on the cross. Todays Jesus has been stripped of everything that made him identify with his people. But how did he get this ways? What took place that brought this change about?

When reading the Bible, one of the most important things to understand is that the entire word of God is hinged on the Torah, commonly referred to as the Law of Moses. Of the 66 chapters that make up the complete Bible, everything surrounds the Torah. The writers of the New Testament, to include both Yeshua and Paul, build every argument, every teaching and every doctrine from it's writings. With this in mind, when reading any book of the Bible, to include those that were not part of the canon, we must realize that in orger for them to be considered as sound doctrine, the absolutely MUST affirm Torah. Anything that does not affirm Torah cannot be held as doctrine. Yeshua is the embodiment of this, in that everything He taught can be found in Torah. He did not introduced anything that was contrary to Torah. Today's study touches on a teaching from the Book of Jubilees in contrast with Torah

Many believers believe that the "Law" was ended by Yeshua at the cross, but is that really what He came to do? For well over a thousand years, this theology has been preached and taught across many a pulpits, as well as taught in many seminary schools, but today we are going to look at some of the words of Yeshua, concerning His purpose, as well as the Apostle Paul and his words on this same topic. Many people erroneously site Paul as the one who taught both Jew and Gentile alike that the Torah was no longer relevevant, but is that really what he was referring to, or was there something else?
Seeing that this is such a touchy topic, and many are hard pressed on their stance concerning this issue, I feel that it is definitely a topic that should be readdressed for the purposes of clarity. I am posting the podacst email on here so that any comments or questions you may have can be addressed. This week, while reading my Torah portion, I really inspired to do a teaching from some of the content that it covered. In this episode we discuss women in leadership positions in the church. For centuries, women have been neglected and kept in bondage as it relates to leadership positions in the church. Replacement theology has run rampant throughout the church. Many churches teach a gospel that implies that the covenant that God made with Israel ended at the cross and was transferred to the church. For well over a thousand years, this was what the church of Rome taught, even being so bold to self proclaim itself as the "mother church", but is this indeed what the Scriptures teach? Paul strongly refutes this argument in Romans 11, long before this theology even started, yet it still spread like wildfire. If indeed God has not replaced Israel, how should this change our attitude towards Israel?

During this time of year, I've noticed a Facebook trend where on most Messianic Believers tend to attack Christians for celebrating Christmas. Not wanting to jump on the bandwagon, I thought it better to focus on the day chosen to observe the birth of Messiah. The question posed is this, with so much info out there concerning the origins of December 25th, and the pagan roots connected to it, predating the observance of this same date as he birth of Messiah, can we actually take a day originally used in paganism, and re-brand it is a "holy" day? Or would it be better to just pick a whole different day for this observance?

I have found that most believers have no clue about what Hanukkah is all about, and as a result, just ignore this day as if it didn't even exist. Something else not known is that had the events leading up to Hanukkah not taken place, we probably never would have gotten a Messiah. The story of Hanukkah is truly an amazing one, in that the courage of a handful of common people, fought off a vast army of well trained soldiers, ultimately expelling them from their land. After gaining a deeper understanding of this holy day, maybe our outlook concerning it may become favorable towards it.
