Tamieca was born in Colorado and raised in El Paso, Texas, where she earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration from Park University. She made the decision to return to Colorado after graduating in order to be near her family and for a change of scenery. She started a career in social services as an adult protective services worker (APS)/single entry point in Trinidad, Colorado, out of a desire to serve individuals in her community (SEP). She made the decision to move to Fountain, Colorado, and she recognized an opportunity through Mt. Carmel Veterans Services to assist local veterans. Veterans Voice Pueblo is a service of Mt. Let me introduce you to Josh Wills, a key member of Mt. Carmel Veteran Center of Pueblo. Josh was born in California, but his parents owned land in Huerfano County, Colorado, so they moved their family there in 1990. He followed family customs and served in the United States Navy. The East Eagles claimed their 2nd team state championship last weekend, and they couldn't have done it without Xavier and Sebastian Freeman. Xavier finished this season with his 2nd individual state title doing it this year in the 220lb weight class, adding on to his 182lb title last season. Sebastian will be heading into his senior season with three podium finishes at state, finishing at 2nd this year and 3rd place in 2020 and 2021.
