Dear friends,
Here I shall try to let the younger generation know about the Great Shanker-Jaikishen who wrote a new grammer of music and ruled the World of Hindi Film Music for almost 20 years uninterruptedly till 1972. I shall also play songs from the films in which after Jaikishen's death Shankerji gave some beautiful music, which are not more heard. You will be also listening to some very nice but less popular songs.These songs without any commentary will be played very soon on evening of Friday at 6.30 pm for 15 minutes duration intially.

Though Shanker-Jaikishen & Kishore Kumar Combination is not very much popularised since when Kishore Kumar actually got momentum in his Singing Career, SJ were still making compositions which suit to Md. Rafi because for the films they were assigned to give music had not heroes from younger generation, like Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh etc. But whenever SJ+Kishore came up, they gave marvellous compositions, but for lack of publicity or other reason, it was general perception that they donot have more output with Kishore. I want to break the myth and would like to take to World of Shanker-Jaikishen and Kishore.
