Elliott Shares some of the ins and outs of playing a church gig in the current environment, a new vocal gig, and some newly acquired gear. Later, we address how geekdom has taken a dominant position in popular culture. Elliott's Song Pick is "This Land" by Gary Clark Jr., and Dominic's is the 90's classic Return to Innocence. They also talk about what was, at the time of recording, the beginning of a wave of violence against people of color.
Multi-talented performer Parnell Damone (the Internationally Known!) drops into Gigland to commemorate the life and legacy of the recently passed founding member of the Supremes, Mary Wilson, whit whom he toured for many years. In the wake of the murder of George Floyd, Elliott recounts his experiences participating in a protest march in Long Beach, Ca. He also addresses the REAL reason "All Lives Matter" is total B.S. Dominic talks about the emotional toll these events can have on people, and makes some very valuable suggestions on how to help if you can't march(for whatever reason).
