There is a concerning trend in the world of modern movies—a decline in character building, arcs, and creative storylines. In an era dominated by special effects and visual spectacles, we are witnessing a shift away from the art of storytelling and the deep exploration of characters that once defined the cinematic experience. This trend not only affects the entertainment industry but also reflects a broader issue in our modern society…what I come to call, A Flashpoint Intersect… illustrating bleak regressive decay to once foundational principles and values that were highly cherished in days of future past….reduced to almost no sign or sentiment in one abrupt Flash…

The 2020 United States elections were held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Democratic presidential nominee, former vice president Joe Biden, defeated incumbent Republican president Donald Trump in thepresidential election. Despite losing seats in the Houseof Representatives, Democrats retained control of the House and gained controlof the Senate. As a result, the Democrats obtained a government trifecta, the first time since the elections in 2008 that the party gained unified control of Congress and the presidency…
Since then, we’ve had thefanatics on both sides - censoring, politicizing, and manufacturing consent fortheir parties to legitimize themselves in power, and gain influence over thecorrupt and centralized capital, we Americans read about in national corporateowned, government infiltrated newspapers. Trump, galvanized his right wing fascistmoron base with quite an extraordinary whopper of a tall tale. Turns out, theconsequences of falsity, fraud, and fascism are being reaped right before thesummer dawns.
Fox News Just Hammered theFinal Nail in the Coffin of Trump’s Election Lie…by court order!
Fox News and parent company Fox Corp have agreed a$787.5m (£633m) settlement with voting machine firm Dominion, averting a high-profiledefamation trial. The settlement was announced at the 11th hour, after the12-person jury had been selected and just as both sides were due to delivertheir opening statements in Delaware Superior Court.
Meanwhile…even one GOP Party donor is feeling a little uncomfortable, despite his stash of pillows.
"My Pillow" CEO Mike Lindell has been ordered to pay $5 millionto an expert who debunked his data related to the 2020 election, according to adecision by the arbitration panel obtained by CNN….
In conclusion, all I have to say is – THIS SHIT - is freakinhilarious! It’s a bummer, the Empire is in decline, and these are the last daysof American Imperialism. I would find it more entertaining if we weren’tstanding off the precipice of dystopia with nuclear war, mass starvation, andaccelerated state sponsored violence; mildly justified through unconstitutionaland illegal surveillance of American citizens.

“Shared psychosis”—which is also called “folie à millions” [“madness for millions”] when occurring at the national level or “induced delusions”—refers to the infectiousness of severe symptoms that goes beyond ordinary group psychology. When a highly symptomatic individual is placed in an influential position, the person’s symptoms can spread through the population through emotional bonds, heightening existing pathologies and inducing delusions, paranoia, and propensity for violence—even in previously healthy individuals. The treatment is removal of exposure...Psychiatrists assess delusions through personal examination, but there is other evidence of their likelihood. Delusions are more infectious than strategic lies, and so we see, from them in sheer mass population spread, that Trump genuinely believes them himself. An even worse element, than believing pathological delusions of grandeur; narcissists like Trump or Biden usually lack integrity or conscience of character. These results frequently convey an overwhelming emotional fragility, manifested in extreme intolerance of realities that do not fit their wishful views regarding the world. In the case of Donald Trump, these imbalances predispose him to psychotic spirals, calls to implement destructive outcomes, and threats to various public figures. Public record includes numerous hours of interviews and interactions with otherpeople—such as the hour-long one with the Georgia secretary of state—that verynearly confirm his delusional and paranoid state. With Trump and Biden regularly proving themselves not to either be morally or mentally fit, there is much research and psychological study to inform that such psychosis might have propensity for contagion, due to the cult-like bandwagon mentality mindset these two leaders of their respective political parties influence.
Destructiveness is a core characteristic of mental pathology, whether directed toward the self or others.
First, I wish to clarify that those with mental illness are, as a group, no more dangerous than those without mental illness. When mental pathology isaccompanied by criminal-mindedness, however, the combination can make individuals far more dangerous than either alone. It’s obvious, logical, natural, even mathematical that our civilization is going to collapse, that we have overshot the sustainable carrying capacity of the earth and ecosystem that supports us. But people are fed false hope by these two political parties. False promises, false positives, and magical faiths which extract your agency and distract you from your presence. Held captive by apathy, afraid of your own shadow...

Most Americans believe our political system needs changes. Upwards of 85% of respondents say there is a need for major changes, including 42% who say our political system needs to be completely reformed. This sentiment holds true across party lines, with both 88% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning Independents and 83% of Republican and Republican-leaning Independents in support of change. Around half of Democrats (47%) want complete reform of the political system as compared to just 38% of Republicans.
The desire for political reform also cuts across many of the other dividing lines in our country. While in many of the other countries surveyed, desire for political reform was tempered by how respondents viewed the economy — with people satisfied with the economy less likely to support political reform — this pattern does not extend to the U.S. Nearly equal numbers of economic pessimists and economic optimists favor political changes — 87% versus 82%, respectively. This gap in support is the smallest of any of the countries Pew surveyed.
Similarly, both Americans who rate our pandemic response positively and Americans who rate it negatively also support political reform at near-equal levels. 83% of Americans who approve of our COVID-19 response also support political reform. Meanwhile, 88% of Americans who do not approve of our pandemic response support reform — a gap of only five percentage points. Again, this gap is the smallest of all the countries surveyed.
No matter which way you cut it, Americans of all political persuasions and views want to see political reform. Even those who are generally satisfied with other aspects of American life (like the economy) are overwhelmingly in favor of changes. In a society as divided as ours seemingly is, this kind of consensus is rare.
At the same time, Americans are not confident our politics can be effectively reformed.
Even as Americans are nearly unanimous in their desire for political reform, most don’t believe our political system can be effectively changed. 58% of Americans have little confidence that reform can be effective, which is more than twice the number of Americans who think the system can change.

Two planes carrying migrants were sent by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to Martha's Vineyard on Wednesday night, his office said, infuriating Democratic politicians and prompting a frenzied response that included humanitarian aid by locals and assistance by Massachusetts officials. It's the latest in a series of moves by Republican governors to transport migrants to northern liberal enclaves to protest what they say are inadequate federal efforts on southern border security. Located off the coast of Massachusetts and long known as a posh summer destination for wealthy vacationers, Martha's Vineyard provided an unusual and unexpected place for the migrants to be sent.

President Biden has a new headache: He can't avoid the debate over whether the U.S. is in a recession, but if he dwells on it, he may hasten the very slowdown he's desperate to avoid... In economics, psychology matters. If the country and consumers believe we're in a recession — even if we technically aren't — the economy will eventually slow down, turning Biden's inflation problem into a potential stagflation nightmare. Presidents can't talk their way out of an economic downturn, but they do have a unique ability to set the general tone of the country. Biden, like his predecessors, likes to accentuate positive economic data. But with a 9.1% inflation rate and potentially two quarters of negative GDP growth, Biden can’t push the glass-half-full argument too far. His initial sanguine call on inflation — insisting it would be short-term — has already eroded some of his credibility. Driving the news: On Thursday, the Commerce Department will release the initial GDP numbers for the second quarter of 2022, with economists expecting a 0.5% increase. Still, there are plenty of worrying signs: the Atlanta Fed’s "nowcast" model suggests GDP growth will come in at -1.6%. Biden officials have been pre-butting the numbers and challenging the yeoman's definition that a recession is two consecutive quarters of negative economic growth, as Axios' Neil Irwin reported last week. "Certainly, in terms of the technical definition, it is not a recession," Brian Deese, the director of the National Economic Council, said on CNN on Monday morning. What they're saying: Biden on Monday again downplayed the recession risk... "My hope is we go from this rapid growth to steady growth and so we'll see some coming down," he said. "But I don't think, God willing, we're going to see a recession," he said. "I'll be surprised."

“But he that sows lie in the end shall not lack a harvest, and soon he may rest from toil indeed, while others reap and sow in his stead.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien
In the current state of America, #USA is long over due for a fundamental change. Whether it's good change, or more consequential crises of corporatist neoliberalism, accelerating abundant atrocities and crises that seem to almost feel ongoing and constant - only the mainstream masses; mentally motivated by #media manufactured manipulation, might affirm by manifesting medalists in this November’s mid-term match for majority mastery…
In any case, a much needed rebound after the pandemic, which so virulently disturbed economic and social normalcy, never externalized or materialized. Thusly, it appears -
Non-fundamentally turned out, a sense of false security…. Fore-mostly revealed, as “fashioned & fabled fiction,” from nearly the FIRST day AFTER inauguration; subsequently, failing false political platform assurance after another.
…
Falsely floating phony propaganda reporting the #BidenAdministration too flat footed to fight for such policies. In such a pathetic propaganda postured pitch, it didn’t take many independents, libertarians, and true leftists to figure out the plain TRUTH - WE WERE FUCKIN LIED TOO… By Who? Well.. none other than a thoroughly-seasoned fabricator and experienced DixieCrat dissimulator. Long-time professional plagiarist, President Joseph Robinette Biden.

When I think about gradualism, I do think about civil rights and domestic policy. As it pertains to civil rights, there have been positive changes, like the greater acceptance of our gay brothers and sisters and more awareness about how Black folks are more impacted by racism, classism, and police brutality. At the same time, many people died in the fight for equality. Also, as in the past, the people sounding the alarms against modern-day oppression are never popular. It takes years of messaging, activism, and first-hand experience for people to change their views for the better.
A change in policies may be met with resistance, but these policies are sometimes more effective than other methods when enforced properly and quickly put into place. But gradual changes give people an excuse to cling to their prejudices and bad habits. These changes can also be easily undone and lead to more damage. For instance, some domestic issues, like the U.S. health care system, shouldn’t be addressed with small, gradual changes, but may need a full overhaul. People are dying for lack of health insurance and that should concern us all. Some worldwide issues, like climate catastrophe, should be addressed now and with drastic changes to help us avoid the worst effects.

The primary objects of the Great Commission are “all nations” – people in the world. However, conflicts arise when people believe and submit to Jesus: between believers and their families, between biblical and secular values, and between the church and political powers. These conflicts arise when Christians turn from obeying worldly authorities toward following Jesus’ authority. Therefore, evangelism entails power struggles and conflicts between Jesus and the world. This is why Jesus’ all-encompassing authority is important in evangelism. Knowing that all authority is in Jesus’ hands, we can be courageous in the face of conflicts. The first words in the Great Commission are “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me” and so Jesus’ authority is the foundation of evangelism. This authority is not harsh or oppressive; it comes from God, allowing those who willingly submit to Jesus’ authority to live an abundant life. Evangelism is in fact Christians witnessing Christ with their transformed lives, lives that are so attractive that people are drawn to believe. That is, they turn from pursuing the world’s powers, money and status, and willingly submit to Jesus’ authority.

Republican senator, #LindseyGraham says #Biden needs to stop fearing Putin, join NATO allies in standing up to Russian 'bully.' #FoxNews #Hannity
President Joe #Biden declared forcefully Saturday that Russian President Vladimir #Putin should no longer remain in power, an unabashed challenge that came at the very end of a swing through Europe meant to reinforce Western unity.
“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden announced at the conclusion of a capstone address delivered in the cold outside the Royal Castle in #Warsaw.
The White House afterward downplayed the remark: “The President’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region,” a White House official said. “He was not discussing Putin’s power in #Russia, or regime change.”
The line was not in Biden’s prepared remarks, a separate White House official said.
But his remark was already reverberating as Biden departed Poland to return home to Washington after his last-minute trip to attend snap summits in Brussels and to reassure allies along NATO’s eastern edge.

A 2014 Princeton political science study showed that government actions nearly always conform to the wishes of wealthy and powerful US elites. "Our central finding was this: Economic elites and interest groups can shape U.S. government policy — but Americans who are less well off have essentially no influence over what their government does," wrote co-authors Martin Gilens and Benjamin Page. America's oligarchical influence extends from healthcare and fossil fuels to the industry of war itself. American companies account for more than half of all arms sales worldwide. The Center for Responsive Politics reports that "in the past two decades, (the arms industry's) extensive network of lobbyists and donors have directed $285 million in campaign contributions and $2.5 billion in lobbying spending to influence defense policy." Arms manufacturers (more commonly known by the Orwellian appellation, "defense industry") shrewdly concentrate on hiring ex-government officials to advance their agenda and pump up their "ill-begotten gains." This ensures that their interests are represented by people who know the officials they're lobbying. Even more importantly, it puts those officials on notice that there is a lucrative future in store for them if they play along. Arms oligarchs have hired more than 200 lobbyists who, in the report's words, "have worked in the same government that regulates and decides funding for the industry." Arms manufacturers played a dominant role under Trump, but are also well-represented in the Biden Administration: While Biden has touted strict ethics rules that attempt to thwart the influence of lobbyists on the administration, several of his earliest appointees, including Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken consulted for a private equity firmthat emphasized its "access, network and expertise" in the defense industry. Austin also had a seat on the United Technologies and Raytheon board, earning more than $250,000 from the now merged companies. "Ill-Begotten Gains" It's not just the arms industry, of course. Other oligarchs have bilked the people of the United States in more creative ways. Jeff Bezos built his Amazon empire off his ability to sell products online without charging sales tax. This government-granted loophole made him an oligarch, a position he has used to further cement his power and influence. He has purchased the most influential paper in the nation's capital—an oligarch's move if there ever was one—while constantly extending his monopolistic power into new markets..

Since the onset of Covid-19, corporate boards have faced a string of difficult decisions. Take the question of dividend payments: Ordinarily, the decision would be a relatively straightforward matter of applying a stated dividend policy, following past practice, or choosing an amount based on shareholder expectations and the company’s earnings for the period. But this year, with Covid-19 decimating the economy and looming uncertainty about the depth and duration of the crisis, the decision became a complex matter of weighing and balancing multiple factors — at least for companies flush enough to consider it at all.
Boardroom dividend discussions ranged over a series of considerations: the equity and symbolism of returning cash to shareholders at a time when employees were being laid off or furloughed; the potential future opportunities gained (or lost) by following (or going against) government calls for dividend cuts; the reputational and signaling effects of maintaining versus suspending or reducing the dividend; the expectations of shareholders and the proportion reliant on dividend income; the company’s cash position and strategic plans; and what would be prudent in the face of extreme uncertainty. A decision that would typically require only a few minutes of board discussion — if that — became an hour-long (or more) deliberation. And then there was the discussion about how to explain the decision in the company’s public communications.
In the end, some boards decided to maintain the dividend. Others decided to suspend or reduce it. In the U.K. and Europe, where policy makers and central banks urged cuts, the major banks and many companies followed their guidance. In the U.S., most of the large banks committed to maintaining their dividends, though authorities and experts disagreed about the wisdom of that choice. Whatever the final decision, however, the process of reaching it was far from straightforward.
This is just one example of the reality that boards are facing as a result of Covid-19. The new environment is characterized by an increasingly complex set of pressures and demands from various stakeholder groups, heightened expectations for societal engagement and corporate citizenship, and radical uncertainty about the future. These factors are complicating board decision-making and challenging the shareholder-centric model of governance that has guided boards and business leaders for the past several decades.
The shareholder-centric model, which is based on what academics call “agency theory,” appears to be giving way to a richer model of governance that puts the health and resilience of the company at its center. The pandemic has made all too clear that society depends on well-functioning companies to meet its most basic needs — for food, shelter, communication, you name it — and that companies do not exist solely to maximize returns to shareholders. It follows that boards, which by law are a company’s governing body, should be concerned not just with returns to shareholders, but with the full range of factors that enable the company to create value over time. Paradoxically, this enlarged purview does not diminish boards’ accountability to shareholders, but it does imply changes in the nature and scope of that accountability.
Whether Covid-19 is truly an inflection point for corporate governance is yet to be seen, but there is no doubt that the pandemic has challenged core premises of the agency-based model of governance in ways that have important implications for boards. In this article, I discuss several of these challenges and suggest five ways the board’s job is likely to change in the post-Covid era. As boards go through their annual self-assessment process, they will want to review their capabilities and readiness in each of these areas.

Joe Biden’s run for the Democratic presidential nomination was all but declared dead as he headed to the South Carolina primary in late February 2020. He had finished fifth in New Hampshire and fourth in Iowa. Still, Biden advised skeptics to withhold judgment until a state with a large pool of Black voters, the most reliable Democratic constituency, had a chance to weigh in.
“Too often your loyalty, your commitment, your support for this party has been taken for granted,” he said. “I give you my word as a Biden that I never, ever, ever will.” Now, one year into his presidency, Biden is hoping he can maintain the support of Black voters, even as his failure to deliver on voting rights legislation and other issues has left some loyalists dispirited. Of the many challenges he confronts as he enters his second year, few are as important as retaining the strong backing from his party’s base…
Black voters delivered, recasting the Democratic contest and sending Biden on his way to the White House.

So many promises. He promised to keep troops in Afghanistan until all US citizens were out, to set up a national commission on policing, to end the use of standardized testing in schools, not to hold child immigrants in detention centers, not to tax anyone making less than $400,000 and to punish Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. Plus his “campaign-trail promise to cure cancer.” Huh: “Maybe Joe Biden just makes a lot of promises to a lot of people that he isn’t all that committed to keeping.”

December 22, 2021 - As President Joe Biden prepares to give a speech Tuesday on the perils of the new Covid variant, he does so at a time of his own political peril. His ambitious Build Back Better bill is on life-support at best, with progressives (and the White House) accusing Sen. Joe Manchin of a breach of faith in rejecting the bill after months of negotiation. Spikes in inflation and crime have helped keep his approval ratings under water. Those numbers, as well as historical precedent and Republican effort to take control of the election.

December 9, 2021 amidst infrastructure buzz, and department of justice deliberations ….
the House of Representatives passed the Protecting Democracy Act, which included four amendments offered by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Her first amendment expands the definition of nepotistic practices to include the executive office of the president. Currently, the definition only applies to federal agencies. Her second amendment codifies the ‘Biden Ethics Pledge,’ as laid out in the President’s Executive Order, here. This executive order was unprecedented in its strength and the amendment ensures no future president can revoke it. Rep. Lynch also co-lead this amendment. The third amendment would regulate legal defense funds, specifically directing the Office of Government Ethics to promulgate regulations banning certain fundraising practices and outlining transparency requirements for legal expense funds in the executive branch. While legal defense funds are regulated for Members of Congress, they are currently not regulated at all for the executive branch.

How would a person describe the time in which we live? Typically, this era in human development is referred to as a time of globalization. However, without the communications technology that came about in the 1990s, globalization on this magnitude would have been impossible. The rhetoric, according to author Robert McChesney in his article “Global Media, Neoliberalism, and Imperialism”, is that all people need to do is “sit back, shut up, and shop…”. McChesney goes on to explain that there exists a superior term to describe the trends we have observed over the past decades and that title is “Neoliberalism”.
Neoliberalism is a set of national and international policies that requires corporate and business domination of all social affairs and little societal opposition. According to McChesney, “Governments are to remain large so as to better serve corporate interests, while minimizing any activities that might undermine the rule of business and the wealthy.”
What the author goes on to describe as the centerpiece of Neoliberal policies is the “…call for commercial media and communication markets to be deregulated.” Before the 1990’s, national media systems were typically domestically owned stations. But today, the global media market is dominated by only 7 multinational corporations: Disney, AOL-Time Warner, Sony, News Corporation, Viacom, Vivendi, and Bertelsmann. What McChesney tries to indicate is that none of these companies existed in their current form fifteen years ago. Furthermore, on several occasions, national media deregulation has preceded more general market deregulations, such as in the case of the creation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Over the course of my own research, I will track how the media has been used to support specific neoliberal practices, whether through media deregulation leading to broader market deregulation, or through social advocacy of neoliberal policies.

“The Party Leader...” With the optimistic guise of “Build Back Better,” Democrats just gave the rich a massive tax cut – that heavily benefits blue states, not to mention funneled their wealthy donor class master's untold resources and foreign subsidized assistance; amazingly, timed in perfect unison with the official confirmation of President Biden’s curiously conservative FED chairman choice – Jerome Powell. To secure the support of moderate Democrats, the “Party Leaders” have included provisions that restore a lucrative tax break, former President Donald Trump slashed, in his signature 2017 tax law. As this was occurring, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) oversaw the passage of the filibuster-proof $1.75 billion budget reconciliation package. Breitbart News & Al Jazeera explained how the state and local tax provision in the bill would represent a windfall for the wealthy on the backs of the middle class; as well as gut student loan reform, ultimately silencing tangible hope of loan forgiveness and debt relief… People are not truly free when they are unable to feed their family. People are not truly free when they are unable to retire with dignity. People are not truly free when they are unemployed or underpaid or when they are exhausted by working long hours. People are not truly free when they have no health care. “So, let me define for you, simply and straightforwardly, what democratic socialism means to me. It builds on what Franklin Delano Roosevelt said when he fought for guaranteed economic rights for all Americans…” Building on what Martin Luther King, Jr. said in 1968 when he stated that; “This country has socialism for the rich, and rugged individualism for the poor.” It builds on the success of many other countries around the world that have done a far better job than we have in protecting the needs of their working families, the elderly, the children, the sick and the poor… To add insult to injury, we were told that not only were the banks too big to fail, the bankers were too big to jail… “Kids who get caught possessing marijuana get police records. Wall Street CEOs who help destroy the economy get raises in their salaries…” This is what Martin Luther King, Jr. meant by socialism for the rich and rugged individualism for everyone else.

THE CORRUPT AND IMMORAL AGENCY…
The American taxpayers have been fleeced for almost seventy years by a so-called «intelligence» agency that has systematically violated the US Constitution, broken practically every federal law on the books, and penetrated virtually every facet of American life. The Central Intelligence Agency’s creation was bemoaned by its creator, President Harry S Truman, who, in a fit of personal angst following the 1963 assassination of President John F Kennedy, wrote in a newspaper column, «I never had any thought that when I set up the CIA that it would be injected into peacetime cloak and dagger operations… I, therefore, would like to see the CIA be restored to its original assignment… and that its operational duties be terminated or properly used elsewhere».
During a presidential election year, two of the three remaining major candidates – Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump – have given no indication that they will heed the words of President Truman. For example, Trump has indicated he will give the CIA authority to torture that even the CIA considers illegal.
As for Mrs Clinton, her zeal in supporting the violent overthrow and assassination of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 only gives added impetus to the out-of-control players inside the CIA to commit similar actions in a Clinton administration. Only Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders appears to channel the beliefs of Truman when it comes to reining in the CIA.
It is not known whether Trump, who has made favorable noises to interventionist neo-conservatives within the Republican Party, will stand by his comments that the war in Libya was a mistake. But Trump was one of the cheerleaders urging US intervention in 2011. He said, «Gaddafi in Libya is killing thousands of people, nobody knows how bad it is, and we’re sitting around. We have soldiers all over the Middle East and not bringing them to stop this horrible carnage… We don’t want to get involved and you’re going to end up with something like you’ve never seen before».
Trump, Mrs Clinton, and Obama were wrong about Libya and Gaddafi on all counts. Gaddafi was not killing «thousands of people». That was being done by the jihadist rebels supported by the CIA. The late US ambassador/weapons smuggler in Libya, Christopher Stevens, who was ironically killed by the very same jihadists with whom he was brokering deals to ship Libyan weapons to Syria, ensured that the latest NATO weaponry ended up in radical Islamist hands in Libya. It was these weapons that killed «thousands of people» – Libyan and African guest workers and their families – in a country wracked by a civil war manufactured by Mrs. Clinton and CIA director General David Petraeus.
The CIA, in particular, had for decades, fantasized about overthrowing Gaddafi. Never did this most incompetent of US government agencies suspect the outcome that occurred from their interference and meddling....

Because voters are so flawed, democracy does not actually bring about the “will of the people,” and as TOMMY NATION POLITICS A argues, most people’s political wills are corrupt anyway, and so we would not want a political system that gave them power.

Psychologist Albert Bandura has defined self-efficacy as people's beliefs in their capabilities to exercise control over their own functioning and over events that affect their lives. Bandura's self efficacy report also asserted that people could be persuaded to believe that they have the skills and capabilities to succeed. Getting verbal encouragement from others helps people overcome self-doubt and instead focus on giving their best effort to the task in hand. One's sense of self-efficacy can provide the foundation for motivation, well-being, and personal accomplishment. People's beliefs in their efficacy are developed by four main sources of influence, including (i) mastery experiences, (ii) vicarious experiences, (iii) social persuasion, and (iv) emotional states…

As the “War on Terror” continues; due to the expansion of unelected “Deep State” power, and industrial explosion of the Military Industrial Complex. The Central Intelligence Agency on Wednesday unveiled revised rules for collecting, analyzing and storing information on American citizens, updating the rules for the information age and publishing them in full for the first time.
The guidelines are designed "in a manner that protects the privacy and civil rights of the American people," CIA General Counsel Caroline Krass told a briefing at the agency's headquarters in Langley, Virginia.
The new rules were released amid continued public discomfort over the government's surveillance powers, an issue that gained prominence following revelations in 2013 by former government contractor Edward Snowden that the National Security Agency (NSA) secretly collected the communications data of millions of ordinary Americans. It appears however, the world has become too small and too mundane to simply drone strike and ravage… The success of the CIA’s mass media propaganda campaign against Donald Trump now emboldens them to further pursue the domestic population as a new “control group” for their perverse social experiments, mind games, and pathological lying…

INTRO
The Quarantine Speech was given by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt on October 5, 1937 in Chicago (on the occasion of the dedication of the bridge between north and south outer Lake Shore Drive), calling for an international "quarantine" against the "epidemic of world lawlessness" by aggressive nations as an alternative to the political climate of American neutrality and non-intervention that was prevalent at the time. The speech intensified America's isolationist mood, causing protest by non-interventionists and foes to intervene. No countries were directly mentioned in the speech, although it was interpreted as referring to the Empire of Japan, the Kingdom of Italy, and Nazi Germany.[1] Roosevelt suggested the use of economic pressure, a forceful response, but less direct than outright aggression. Public response to the speech was mixed. Famed cartoonist Percy Crosby, creator of Skippy (comic strip) and very outspoken Roosevelt critic, bought a two-page advertisement in the New York Sun to attack it.[2] In addition, it was heavily criticized by Hearst-owned newspapers and Robert R. McCormick of the Chicago Tribune, but several subsequent compendia of editorials showed overall approval in US media.[3] Roosevelt realized the impact that those witting in favor of isolationism had on the nation. He hoped that the storm isolationists' created would fade away and allow the general public to become educated and even active in international policy. [4] However, this was not the response that grew over time, in fact, it ended up intensifying isolationism views in more Americans.[5] Roosevelt even mentioned in two personal letters written on October 16, 1937, that "he was 'fighting against a public psychology which comes very close to saying 'peace at any price.'"'[6] Disappointed in how the public reacted to the speech, Roosevelt decided to take a step back with regards to his foreign policy. Even to the point of accepting an apology from Japan after the sinking of the USS Panay…
I’m summary…. War is a contagion, whether it be declared or undeclared. It can engulf states and peoples remote from the original scene of hostilities. We are determined to keep out of war, yet we cannot insure ourselves against the disastrous effects of war and the dangers of involvement. We are adopting such measures as will minimize our risk of involvement, but we cannot have complete protection in a world of disorder in which confidence and security have broken down. If civilization is to survive the principles of the Prince of Peace must be restored. Trust between nations must be revived. Most important of all, the will for peace on the part of peace-loving nations must express itself to the end that nations that may be tempted to violate their agreements and the rights of others will desist from such a course. There must be positive endeavors to preserve peace. America hates war. America hopes for peace. Therefore, America actively engages in the search for peace..y

While the act of faking content is not new, deepfakes leverage powerful techniques from machine learning and artificial intelligence to manipulate or generate visual and audio content with a high potential to deceive. The main machine learning methods used to create deepfakes are based on deep learning and involve training generative neural network architectures, such as autoencoders or generative adversarial networks. When Thomas Jefferson penned “all men are created equal,” he did not mean individual equality, says Stanford scholar When the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, it was a call for the right to statehood rather than individual liberties, says Stanford historian Jack Rakove. Only after the American Revolution did people interpret it as a promise for individual equality....they already had that.

Charles Cooley stated based on his looking-glass self theory: "I am not who you think I am; I am not who I think I am; I am who I think you think I am."[2] This articulates the view that people in society construct ideas or concepts that may not exist without the existence of people or language to validate those concepts.
There are weak and strong social constructs.[3] Weak social constructs rely on brute facts (which are fundamental facts that are difficult to explain or understand, such as quarks) or institutional facts (which are formed from social conventions). Strong social constructs rely on the human perspective and knowledge that does not just exist, but is rather constructed by society...

By the thousands, U.S. service members are refusing or putting off the Covid-19 vaccine as frustrated commanders scramble to knock down internet rumors and find the "RIGHT PITCH" that will persuade troops to get the shot.
Some Army units are seeing as few as one-third agree to the vaccine. Military leaders searching for answers believe they have identified one potential convincer: an imminent deployment. Navy sailors on ships heading out to sea last week, for example, were choosing to take the shot at rates exceeding 80 percent to 90 percent.
Air Force Maj. Gen. Jeff Taliaferro, vice director of operations for the Joint Staff, told Congress on Wednesday that “very early data” suggests that just up to two-thirds of the service members offered the vaccine have accepted.
“We cannot make it mandatory yet,” Vice Adm. Andrew Lewis, commander of the Navy’s 2nd Fleet, said last week. “I can tell you we’re probably going to make it mandatory as soon as we can, just like we do with the flu vaccine.”
About 40 Marines gathered recently in a California conference room for an information session from medical staff. One officer, who was not authorized to publicly discuss private conversations and spoke on condition of anonymity, said Marines are more comfortable posing questions about the vaccine in smaller groups.
The officer said one Marine, citing a widely circulated and false conspiracy theory, said: “I heard that this thing is actually a tracking device.” The medical staff, said the officer, quickly debunked that theory, and pointed to the Marine’s cellphone, noting that it’s an effective tracker.
Other frequent questions revolved around possible side effects or health concerns, including for pregnant women. Army, Navy and Air Force officials say they hear much the same.

Jamie Dimon, the billionaire boss of JP Morgan who has warned income inequality has “bifurcated the economy” in America, was paid $31.5m in 2020, the bank announced on Thursday.
The news is likely to cast a harsh spotlight on a figure who has opined about the need for a more caring and equitable capitalism yet appears to have vastly increased his fortune at a time of immense suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic that has seen millions of people plunged into poverty and homelessness. In the same year, launching a $350m program to help underserved communities, Dimon warned income inequality had “bifurcated the economy”.
“A big chunk of [people] have been left behind. Forty per cent of Americans make less than $15 an hour. Forty percent of Americans can’t afford a $400 bill, whether it’s medical or fixing their car. Fifteen per cent of Americans make minimum wages, 70,000 die from opioids [annually],” said Dimon.
But Dimon warned that socialism was not the answer, saying it produces “stagnation, corruption and often worse”.
Last year Dimon joined a glittering array of corporate bigs to tackle racial inequality. Following the police killing of George Floyd the Business Roundtable, the US’s most powerful business lobby and an organization that Dimon used to chair, announced it was forming a committee to tackle inequality.
Dimon is thought to harbor political ambitions and was tipped as a possible treasury secretary before the election, a position now almost certain to go to Janet Yellen, the former chair of the Federal Reserve.
He once claimed he would have easily beat Donald Trump in an election fight. “I’m smarter than he is,” he said in 2018. “And, by the way, this wealthy New Yorker actually earned his money,” he said. “It wasn’t a gift from Daddy.”
But he said the liberal wing of the Democrat party would probably block his chances. Shortly after making the comments Dimon said: “I should not have said it,” adding that the statement “proves I wouldn’t make a good politician”.

A supermajority or a qualified majority is a requirement for a proposal to gain a specified level or type of support which exceeds a simple majority in order to have effect. In some jurisdictions, for example, parliamentary procedure requires that any action that may alter the rights of the minority has a supermajority requirement (such as a two-thirds majority). Changes to constitutions, especially those with entrenched clauses, commonly require supermajority support in a legislature. A supermajority is absolute if the required percentage or fraction is based on the entire membership rather than on those present and voting. The United States Senate requires a supermajority of 60 percent to move to a vote through a cloture motion, which closes debate on a bill or nomination, thus ending a filibuster by a minority of members. There are currently 100 members, so sixty percent is sixty Senators. The United States Constitution requires a supermajority of two-thirds of both houses of United States Congress to propose a Congress-driven constitutional amendment; it also requires a three-quarters supermajority of state legislatures for final adoption of any constitutional amendment, as well as a two-thirds supermajority to pass a bill over the president's veto.
Once upon a time — as in a few weeks ago, when the polls were exuberantly predicting a Democratic landslide — America’s pundits took to musing about how Joe Biden could soon become the next Franklin D. Roosevelt. “COVID-19 and the disastrous White House response [appear] to have dramatically widened Biden’s pathway to the presidency, making the matter of moderation and electability seem, at least for the time being, almost moot,” wrote Gabriel Debenedetti in New York magazine. “[Now Biden] considers the present calamity and plots a presidency that, by awful necessity, he believes must be more ambitious than FDR’s.”

In human psychology, the breaking point is a moment of stress in which a person breaks down or a situation becomes critical... I could not imagine any more of a critical situation and facing a financial crisis, health crisis, liberty crisis, not to mention the extraction of wealth from within our country which renders our people without means of education and income. I believe we can all agree that these are very dark times, from which reveals who we REALLY are - and what exactly our political class is REALLY doing. The intensity of this environmental stress might be the catalyst which transforms our broken system. A system which; metaphorically, has its boot on the neck of our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
Who governs? Who really rules? To what extent is the broad body of U.S. citizens sovereign, semi- sovereign, or largely powerless? These questions have animated much important work in the study of American politics...
The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence. Our results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.
What is the solution?? The solution is getting money out of politics. There are various endeavors at the present to remedy such a dilemma. WOLF-PAC, started by Cenk Uygur of THE YOUNG TURKS, as well as an abundant efforts in legislating Anti-Corruption Acts that have been proposed by principal driven representatives from both sides of the aisle. Politicians are supposed to represent us. But most Americans have a near-zero impact on public policy. America's corrupt political system is a complex problem. The American Anti-Corruption Act is a comprehensive solution.
The American Anti-Corruption Act sets a standard for city, state, and federal laws that break big money's grip on politics. It will: • Stop political bribery by making it illegal for lobbyists to lobby a politician and donate to their campaign. You can lobby, or you can donate, but you can't do both. • End secret money so Americans know who is buying political power. • Fix our broken elections so the people, not the political establishment, are the ones in control.

Every evil revolution in history has had its book burning day to purge information detrimental to its success. Today’s censorship will ultimately be viewed as that essential part of Technocracy’s coup d’etat. Without knowledge and the ability to communicate freely, there can be no resistance. Big Tech censorship by Jack Dorsey’s Twitter of the New York Post story on Hunter Biden and Joe Biden is so egregious that I have to speak up. If there were any doubt, it is now clear that Twitter’s censorship system is set up to survey, capture, control, and manipulate the political narrative within this country.
Make no mistake, the mathematical parameters and algorithms that Dorsey’s team developed and implemented had this goal in mind. Despite what he and his company might have you believe, his frustration and anger are more likely related to getting caught, and the resulting public outrage, not the wanting of some algorithm.
Any remaining lines between social media companies and the political propaganda and covert influence world have been erased. Powerful men such as Dorsey and the other tech giants who control social media platforms are meddling in inflammatory issues to engineer and influence the outcome of the upcoming election.
Their efforts are a dangerous threat to our free society. It is hard to imagine a more insidious effort to subvert freedom of speech, expression, and the free flow of ideas, good or bad, than algorithms designed to shut down speech they don’t like.
The titans of social media, Dorsey at Twitter and Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook, lead their companies the way China does.

“Neoliberalism is hard to define. It could refer to intensified resource extraction, financialization, austerity, or something more ephemeral – a way of life – in which collective ideals of citizenship give way to marketized individualism and consumerism.”
Greg Grandin
In response to the economic fallout of the Great Depression, the federal government opted to embrace a liberalized approach to trade, meaning that trade restrictions were removed. A freer exchange of goods ushered in a new era of economic prosperity, particularly following the Second World War. This period is often referred to as the “Long Boom” or the ‘Golden Age’ of capitalist expansion. For a time, America’s economy flourished but by the the early 1970s was once again sluggish as economic growth slowed. Stagflation, characterized by a stagnant economy and high inflation, ensued and was highlighted by the recession lasting from 1973 to 1975.
To counteract slow economic growth, a new brand of liberal trade policies, i.e. neoliberalism, was promoted and ultimately adopted. It was believed that this new flavor of liberalism would prevent the problems supposedly caused by the first wave of trade liberalization.
Achieving such results required rejecting socially-liberal policies and embracing political and economic restructuring via privatization, deregulation, and support for globalization.
However, neoliberalism is more than just an approach to politics. Instead, it as an all-encompassing political and economic philosophy that embraces the market, rather than the government, as the mechanism to satisfy all human needs. In turn, the influence of market conditions becomes pervasive not only in communities but also in individual lives by ingraining the importance of individualism, efficiency, and self-help (as opposed to systems, efficacy, and community).
The ultimate objective of this restructuring is to achieve maximum (economic) efficiency enabled via the free flow of capital. It is essential to understand that, despite neoliberalism being considered a narrow subdivision of economics aligned with monetarist and supply-side economics, it is itself a broader political ideology. Overcoming these issues to redevelop a strong central body capable of regulating the private sector in a proactive and forward-thinking manner demands an intellectual and lifestyle revolution. However, the current lack practical yet innovative ideas from both sides of the economic aisle indicate that fresh perspectives from outside the standard arena of politics will be needed to remedy the pervasive effects of neoliberalism in the United States.

IN 2020, TELEVISION feels slow and one-sided. It talks to you but never listens. At 3 pm Eastern on Tuesday, CNN still had a countdown clock promising that “Election Night in America” would be starting in one hour. Starting? Twitter feeds, Facebook posts, and TikToks from sea to shining sea had been giving updates since sunrise. Folks on TikTok requesting a calendar invite for the next civil war. People on Twitter photographing empty grocery store freezers as proof of an anxiety-fueled Ben & Jerry’s shortage. None of those missives contained actual election results, mind you, but they were part of America’s 2020 presidential selection process all the same. This latest election isn’t one night in America; it’s been playing out trepidatiously, nervously, across the country and across our connected devices, for what feels like one long, interminable slog.

One of the cornerstones of a vibrant democracy is citizens’ ability to influence government through voting. In order for that influence to be meaningful, citizens must send clear signals to their leaders about what they wish the government to do. It only makes sense, then, that a democracy will benefit if voters have several clearly differentiated options available to them at the polls on Election Day. Having these options means voters can select a candidate who more closely represents their own preferences on the important issues of the day. It also gives individuals who are considering voting a reason to participate. After all, you are more likely to vote if you care about who wins and who loses. The existence of two major parties, especially in our present era of strong parties, leads to sharp distinctions between the candidates and between the party organizations.
Why do we have two parties? The two-party system came into being because the structure of U.S. elections, with one seat tied to a geographic district, tends to lead to dominance by two major political parties. Even when there are other options on the ballot, most voters understand that minor parties have no real chance of winning even a single office. Hence, they vote for candidates of the two major parties in order to support a potential winner. Of the 535 members of the House and Senate, only a handful identify as something other than Republican or Democrat. Third parties have fared no better in presidential elections. No third-party candidate has ever won the presidency. Some historians or political scientists might consider Abraham Lincoln to have been such a candidate, but in 1860, the Republicans were a major party that had subsumed members of earlier parties, such as the Whig Party, and they were the only major party other than the Democratic Party.

The United States is a Corporation ——- Yes, you read the title correctly. We are not living in a country with a government of the people, by the people, for the people, but we are part of a giant Corporation, The United States Corporation, and the President of America is the CEO. We are only the employees. This Corporation, in its turn, is owned by another Corporation, The British Crown - WHICH IN TURN IS OWNED AND PUPPET-TED BY A VARIETY OF INTERNATIONAL MONOLITHIC CORPORATE COMPLEXES. —————. Military industrial complex, prison industrial complex, airline industry, Wall Street, and banking sector.
“Hey, wait a minute! First of all, America is not owned by Great Britain,” you may way. That’s what the War of Independence was all about; to free ourselves from British tyranny. We are free from Britain and we have our own Constitution. Our Founding Fathers helped out with that! “The Obama administration in its final year in office spent a record $36.2 million on legal costs defending its refusal to turn over federal records under the Freedom of Information Act, according to an Associated Press analysis of new U.S. data that also showed poor performance in other categories measuring transparency in government.
For a second consecutive year, the Obama administration set a record for times federal employees told citizens, journalists and others that despite searching they couldn’t find a single page of files that were requested.” - ASSOCIATED PRESS, 2017
And it set records for outright denial of access to files, refusing to quickly consider requests described as especially newsworthy, and forcing people to pay for records No matter what else he achieves or where he falls short, Barack Obama can lay claim to the title of King of Corporate Subsidies.
Using any of a variety of measures, the Obama administration BROKE ALL RECORDS in the distribution of taxpayer dollars to American businesses, primarily banks, automobile manufacturers and insurance companies.

THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT ------------- Constantly monitoring the facilitation of wealth and resources which have pronounced us superior in Power and Might; bearing an uncanny resemblance, with historical traits of past deposed Empires...
The final harkening to such stark similarities; recently corporeally manifested through the actions of cavalier and arrogant politicians. Staying in Power or expanding influence, their only mindful principle. This vacuous shift of guiding values has resulted in epic partisan polarization of the country; a tribal bandwagon mentality, well suited as an adequate distraction as the two United States Political Parties utilize this circus affect to draw legitimate use of force to control human behavior; and thusly, agency authorized to exercise that force. The bandwagon effect, often referred to as the herd mentality, is the propensity for someone to do something because a lot of other people are already doing it. The singular person often acts subconsciously. That is, they will act even if the values and opinions of the herd contradict their own. The bandwagon effect is a powerful driver of human behavior and has therefore infiltrated most aspects of daily life. In the business and marketing spheres, studies have shown that the effect influences not only a consumer’s willingness to buy but also how much they are willing to pay.

Instead of being a “watchful eye” within the scope of a system, brimming with easily corruptible politicians; encompassing a dismal slant [brought on through ‘money in politics‘], and the last four decades of Neoliberalism, has effectively skewed what was christened, “The Fourth Estate.”
Mainstream corporate-owned “news media” has transformed into the utmost adept mechanism responsible for Nationalist motivated and “manufactured consent” - Noam Chomsky. At the present, no desire to remain an organization; empowered by the concept of discovering unadulterated factual, validity or realism, or epiphany. “The tranquilizing drug of gradualism,” {Martin Luther King Jr.} shifts ever so gradually toward the idiosyncratic materialization of the favored. All but a frequent utilized instrument of the ruling class.
Our still youthfully maturing “democratic republic” has never before witnessed these bygone times. A tragic fall from grace; thusly, no similar relation to the now crumbling institution that once heralded active truth seeking journalism.
They have now tried to tell us what to think. They omitted truths, they revel in bandwagon mentality, and “us versus them,” divisive, conflict heavy rhetoric. The Mainstream Medua now endeavors to achieve new goals. The goal of distraction. The goal assigned smear merchants, peddling propaganda; thusly, intending to brainwash our collective society out of the profound rights, previously declared by our Nation’s founding fathers.
“They are a disgrace to their profession, and should be ashamed of themselves.“ – Christopher Hitchens.
Because of these Con-Men of industry, The American people is now an audience that does not understand the language of reason or civil discourse. The very consequence; resulting in, that which was once the shining beacon on a hill, industrially wealthiest in the land, now inhabiting a sociopath salesman - renown for his expertise in exaggerating reality beyond the limits of authenticity. Get a progressive wave ready for 2022? I'm pretty sure in 2016, we felt that by 2020, the Democratic party was going to absolutely be ready for Progressives after 4 years of Trump. The result? Bernie got TROUNCED by Joe Biden! Bill Clinton style Democratic politics prevailed over Bernie Sanders style Democratic Socialist politics.
In Bernie's moment to shine, he failed miserably. He got under 10 million votes while Biden got nearly 20 million votes. Where is any logic in saying that in two years we will have a progressive wave ready? 4 years of Unhinged SJW Twitter activism got us Joe Biden.
We are in a generation of lazy morons who think tweeting and calling Donald Trump "The Cheeto Pussy Grabber" is activism. It's not. It's polarizing, and that is shown by Biden's victory. People are fed up with the unhinged deranged Twitter Feed Leftists who make outrageous cultural appeals that make no sense.
The white woman who wrote a 10,000 word article on Medium about how white people need to shut up for black people to speak is a good example of the class of morons who call themselves activists. Making people uncomfortable and causing them to walk on eggshells around minorities is not activism, it's instigation. And it's creating droves of Ex-Democrats.
This type of deranged activism makes it hard for people like me, who fight for the working class and victims of our broken criminal justice system, to do damage control.
What these Unhinged SJW Types don't understand is that thanks to their "work", they've created an America more racist than anything we've seen since the Civil Rights Act. They've created a Democratic Party more right-wing than it was 4 years ago. America is heading on a course to the political right, and will show no signs of stopping until the SJWs go away.

The two-party system is destroying America. Democrats and Republicans are in a death match and the American people are caught in the middle. The nation faces all sorts of serious problems, from growing inequality to spreading international terrorism, but the bitter fight between Democrats and Republicans has largely ground government to a halt. Partisans on both sides are so angry they can barely speak with the other, much less work together. The most extreme are convinced that members of the other party are treasonous and purposefully harming the nation. This isn’t just a perception. A recent Pew Research survey found that 36 percent of Republicans thought that liberal policies are “a threat to the nation’s well-being.” 27 percent of Democrats feel the same way about conservatives. They don’t just think they have better ideas or their opponents are misguided and honestly believe that the other side is more interested in partisan gain than the well-being of the nation. Many of the more extreme partisans simply refuse to work with the other side. The result is that the two parties have the nation’s capital, and many state capitals, in a death grip.

It’s the Republican convention now.... Instead of endless talk about the wall or the perfidy of Lyin' Jim Comey, we had segments devoted to criminal justice reform and a deliberate attempt to showcase the Trump administration's commitment to improving the lot of African-American voters. In the place of "Lock her up," we heard about the president's commitment to releasing millions of Americans from prison.
Was this the convention Donald Trump's fans wanted? I think probably not. But they are not about to abandon him because Louie Gohmert was not given a 35-minute slot to rehearse the number of injuries inflicted upon his asparagus. It was an attempt to reach for the center.

“Harris is the first woman of color to be nominated for this position in either of the two major parties’ histories. I would love it if I could follow that sentence up with a rah-rah-woman chant — I really would. Harris is clearly sharp as a tack, driven, and a hard worker — all traits that I admire. "If the latter is playing a significant role—on either side—that will make the budget talks subject to the same problem." “Trump signed an executive order this week authorizing an additional $300 of federal funds a week to people who have lost their jobs due to coronavirus shutdowns — doing an end-run around a deadlocked Congress after its first pandemic relief bill expired.” - Mary Kay Linge, The New York Post

An ongoing series of protests and unrest, which began in Minneapolis in the United States on May 26, 2020. The protests began as a response to the killing of George Floyd, a 46-year-old African American man who died during an arrest after Derek Chauvin, a Minneapolis Police Department officer, knelt on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes as three other officers looked on. The protests have led to numerous legislative proposals on federal, state and municipal levels intended to combat police misconduct, systemic racism, qualified immunity and police brutality in the United States,[25][26] while the Trump administration has drawn widespread criticism for its hardline, militarized response and aggressive rhetoric.[27] The protests led to a wave of monument removals and name changes throughout the country and internationally. Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday froze Texas' state reopening plan amid a surge of new coronavirus cases and concern over whether the pandemic could swamp local health systems.
Abbott, a Republican, separately halted elective surgeries in a handful of counties with fast-growing Covid-19 caseloads. His moves follow similar halts in reopenings in Utah, Oregon and North Carolina. Abbott has also urged state residents to wear masks and backed down on an earlier order that banned cities and counties from mandating people wear face coverings in public.
Abbott took over the state’s pandemic response from local officials in late March and began lifting restrictions in May in a bid to reboot the state's economy.
Lina Hidalgo, Harris County’s top elected official, told POLITICO Wednesday that she was in discussions with Abbott’s office to allow the county to reimpose pandemic-related restrictions with fines for non-compliance.

Floyd died after a Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, knelt on his neck for nine minutes. A video of the incident sparked national outrage. Chauvin has since been fired and charged with second-degree murder, an elevation from the original third-degree murder charge. Before George Floyd died while a police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes, he rasped "I can't breathe."
It was the same gut-wrenching phrase uttered by Eric Garner when a New York cop had him in a chokehold before he died in 2014. Since then it has been a constant rallying cry at Black Lives Matter and police brutality protests.
