Cherith is a place of isolation. It is a place where you are completely cut off and totally dependent upon God and His resources. You see, before Elijah was able to stand on Mount Carmel and challenge the 800 false prophets, he first had to learn certain principles. He had to learn the meaning of a Cherith season.
WHEN ADAM AND EVE DECIDED TO EAT FROM THE OTHER TREE, THEY DIED TO THEIR COMMUNION (THEIR INTIMACY) WITH GOD. THEIR SPIRIT FELL INTO A STATE OF SLEEP AND THEIR SOUL WAS LEFT NAKED AND CONDEMNED TO DEATH. ADAM CHOSE THE SUGGESTION OF THE SERPENT INSTEAD OF OBEYING THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD. ADAM DOUBTED AND ATE FROM THE OTHER TREE. WHICH TREE ARE YOU EATING FROM?

Where are you? What season are you in? What season did you just come through? What did God reveal to you in that season? Are you repeating or lingering in a season? How do you know when you have come out of a season? How do you know when you are entering a new season? These are the questions that we need to ponder on in order to understand what season we are in and why we are in it.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven... Ecclesiastes 3:1
As we come to the end of this year and prepare to "Cross Over" into 2016, it's vital that we have an understanding of what season we are leaving and what season we are entering.
As I reflect back on this past year, I can truly say that it has been a difficult year. 2014 was a painful year. It was a year of separation and broken relationships. A year full of "valley" and "wilderness" experiences. 2014 was a year of isolation and desolation...a year in LODEBAR. However,while it seemed that God was distant and silent, I realized that through it all I've grown closer to Him and in the apparent silence He spoke volumes. I have come to realize that everything that this year held was designed to position me for something greater...a transition...a move...a coming out. 2015 is the year that I am COMING OUT of LODEBAR.
