We love a good monster book here at Know Direction. So much so, we declared November to be Monster Month in honour of the release of Monster Core 2 for Pathfinder 2e.
In our first segment this month, Ryan picks and random monster and brainstorms an encounter in real time.

Then he sits down with Pathfinder Quest designers Jason Bulmahn and Joe Pasini to discuss the creation of the game, meeting the needs of gamers, and the future of Pathfinder on tabletop.
Finally, he wraps things up by chatting with omnipresent Pathfinder fan Lucas Servideo about how Pathfinder Quest backers can handle all of those miniatures they have coming their way.

Battlecry!, the latest sourcebook for Pathfinder 2e, is full of amazing options, like the new Jotunborn big beefy ancestry with planar connections, the new commander and guardian classes, a leader and a protector, respectively, and a new skirmish system to put your PC in the middle of epic battles. The book’s design lead, our own Jason Keeley, joins Ryan to talk about all of that and more.
However, that’s not all that Battlecry! has to offer. Ryan spends the first segment of the episode looking at four of the new archetypes introduced in the book, and how they encapsulate different ways an RPG option can be good. Then, in the final segment of the episode, Jake from Wisdom Check, himself highly invested in the Battlecry! archetypes lately on his YouTube channel, tells Ryan what he loves about Pathfinder, and what he brings to the community.

Between September 2008 and December 2011, the Know Direction Network periodically released episodes of an original work of audio fiction called Dwarfed. This fantasy satire began life as a spec script when I was hoping to work fulltime as a screenwriter. When my career plans changed and my podcast took off, I invited my friends, some of which will sound familiar to longtime listeners, to record the dialog for the characters in the script. Then, over the next few years, I recorded the narration and assembled Dwarfed into 9 individual episodes. Those episodes are no longer available on the website, but they’ve been collected for the first time here as the Dwarfed Special Edition.
