We are thrilled to be joined by Marcus Johnson in today's episode!
While pursuing his JD and MBA at Georgetown, he independently produced and distributed his first CD (Lessons in Love), which sold more than 40,000 units; a phenomenal success for an unknown independent artist’s debut release. This album helped him launch his career as a renowned jazz keyboardist/pianist, and later, he released his second CD (Inter Alia), with staggering success
This success caught the attention of Black Entertainment Television (BET) founder and businessman Robert L. Johnson, who invested and partnered with Marcus to establish Marimelj Entertainment Group. Under their partnership, MEG’s label Three Keys Music housed Studio 8121, a full-service recording studio, and two music publishing companies: Marimelj Music Publishing and Three Keys Music Publishing.
As head of Three Keys Music, Johnson produced and released on the Three Keys Music label national jazz artists: Michael Lington, Jaared Arosemena, Bobby Lyle, Nick Colionne, R&B singer, Alyson Williams, neo-soul songstress, Zahzarah; and smooth jazz Saxophonists Phillip Martin and Brian Lenair.
To date, Marcus has released more than fifteen Billboard charted CDs, and has the distinction of having his groundbreaking 2008 Billboard Top 20 Contemporary Jazz FLO (For the Love Of) Anthology, which consisted of three distinct CDs -- FLO Chill, FLO Romance and FLO Standards - all chart Top 10 on Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts simultaneously.
The release of Poetically Justified (2009) and This is How I Rock (2011), which were Top 20 Contemporary Jazz CDs, solidified Marcus Johnson as the heir apparent to the funky urban groove music style and sound made famous by legendary jazz greats, George Duke and Herbie Hancock.

And the best part is, these don't cost a dime! It only costs a little bit of intention.

Anita Darden Gardyne, President & CEO of Oneva Inc. joins us to discuss how you can get more out of the care and support you need.
Did you know that more and more senior leaders are leaving their careers to care for, and be with, elderly parents and loved ones?
This is primarily due to the fact that it is very difficult to find someone to come in and provide the care and support needed (and that they can trust) so that they they can remain in their roles.
This is not only a loss for the leaders leaving, but it is also a big loss to organizations and industries around the world.
Anita is providing the care and support people need, at all levels, so that they can continue to take care of themselves, and their careers.

If it hurts, why do we carry it with us into the future?
Should we continue to look at ourselves as a victim of our circumstances, or as the HERO who made it out the other side and is capable of surviving anything?

For many of us, we crave the interaction, feedback and engagement that comes from being a part of a community. However, when we don't have access to one close to us, or if it doesn't yet exist online, Jeremy shares how we can simply create our own.
Everything starts with a little bit of research and knowing what you want. Once you know what you want, then you know what to look for - which means if you can't find it you have an opportunity to fill a need for yourself, and others.

Today we are joined by Dorit Palvanov to discuss how we can get more out of energy cycles as females.
It's not a secret that, as a female, you have a menstrual cycle, but what we don't often tune into is how those cycles affect our energy levels and ultimately...part of the reason why we burn out if we are not in tuned with what our body is telling us.
About Dorit:
Dorit Palvanov is a registered holistic nutritionist and thought leader in the female-centric approach to healing.
Her mission is empowering women to recover from burnout so they can live, love, parent and work with confidence, energy and passion. Dorit’s clients often say that working with her feels like getting the key to their power as women.
Dorit is the founder and voice behind the popular podcast for women Confident, Energized and Sexy Mama where she explores the life-long relationship women have with burnout and the stumbling blocks that hold women back from confidence, energy and passion in how they live, love, parent and work.
With reverence, wisdom and wit, Dorit inspires a global community of women to embrace their feminine essence and evolve how they live, love, work, play, and parent.
When Dorit isn’t being a typical mom by shlepping her kids to and from, you’ll find her curled up on the couch with her husband talking long hours about life or singing to her husband’s guitar.

In this episode we are joined by Maros Cincura, a Men's Coach for Executives: specialized in Peak Performance Psychology & Mental Health to discuss how to get more out of 'nice guy' syndrome.
So many of us struggle with imposter syndrome, or the fear of judgement, and Maros has found that his clients struggle with both of these and cope by developing "nice guy" syndrome - which shows up in every aspect of their lives.
The fear of not being accepted, or the fear of conflict (amongst many other factors) lead them to adopt a 'nice' persona where they work to ensure that everyone around them gets their needs met, before their own.
Join us as we discuss why 'nice guy' syndrome develops and how we can start to recognize and address it in order to cultivate a growth mindset and live the life we want.

To start, he is helping us understand the 3 categories and what they mean in terms of our goals: Exercise, Physical Activity and Movement - because they all have different goals.
Ultimately, however, it's clear that most of us have no goals when it comes to our exercise, physical activity or movement routines, and more importantly most of us are not tested physically very often.
As Dr. Darian says, if you're comfortable, you're not growing and you're not improving!

Today we are joined by Trey Downes to talk about how we can get more out of living in the moment.
With so much going on in our lives, it's easy to get swept up in to-do lists, regrets about the past, or hopes for the future - but in amidst all of that is our present!
When we learn how to remain mindful of our present, and how to actually LIVE in the moment, and make good decisions in the moment, that's when we have an excellent opportunity to grow.
In order to practice this in-the-moment-mindfulness we can do things like exercise, meditate, journal - whatever we need to do to support our physical and mental health will help us strengthen our emotional intelligence.

Today we are joined by Dr. Michelle Seidling, PhD, an Instructional Psychologist and Food Experience Architect to talk about how to get more out of your health goals!
As Dr. Seidling points out there are many ways to fuel your body so that you can operate optimally - and fuel can mean many things.
Fuel can mean the actual food choices you make and what's on your plate, it can mean how you feed your mind and what you read/watch/listen to, and it can also mean how you fuel your body and protect your time with self-care.
Afterall, if you're running on empty (empty calories, empty information and zero time to yourself) then you can't possibly continue to give to others.

In this episode we are joined by Maxwell Ivey, the Blind Blogger, and he is helping us understand how to get more out of your ask for help.
Like all areas of our life, there are times where we need to ask for what we want, especially when it's an ask for help.
Putting aside our ego, or perceived judgement of others, is part of the battle when it comes to asking for (and accepting!) help from others.
Quite simply, we can't do everything all by ourselves!
About Maxwell:
Maxwell Ivey is an inspirational and motivational personal coach who also runs a business buying and selling carnival equipment and amusement park rides.
A native Texan, Max loves to sing and spend time with his unique and crazy dog, a “Greymation” named Penny (half Greyhound, half Dalmation).
Reading, singing, and blogging are among Max’s favorite things to do.
He especially enjoys helping others find their bliss.

Today we are joined by Sam Michaels, JD - lawyer and founder of SM Legal to discuss how to get more out of starting your own law firm.
Many lawyers are taught in school that the only path forward for them is to either join an existing practice, or go into government work - but that wasn't what Sam wanted to do with his career path.
He's here to discuss his entrepreneurial journey, what it meant to him when his gut told him he was moving in the wrong direction, as well as how to handle rejection and perceived failure when they presented themselves!
If you want to learn about how to choose 'door number 3' in a traditional career/industry, then this is the episode for you!

Tessie Castillo is the co-author of Crimson Letters, Voices From Death Row, a book that she co-wrote with four men serving death sentences in North Carolina, whom she met while volunteering at North Carolina’s Central Prison in 2014.
In today's episode she wants to highlight the importance of reserving judgement and keeping an open mind in ALL situations, because you are then able to learn something new.
"Crimson Letters illuminates the complex stew of choice and circumstance that brought four men to Death Row and their search for hope and purpose behind bars. Since its publication, Castillo and her co-authors (who call in from prison) have been speaking on criminal justice issues and sharing their story with universities, faith groups, non-profits, radio shows, and podcasts, including NPR, Longform Podcast, and the Greensboro Bound criminal justice series featuring anti-death penalty advocate Sister Helen Prejean. They also host a free book club where co-authors call into virtual discussions to answer questions and converse with book club members."

We are joined by Amy Bruske, President of Kolbe Corp., and discussing how to get more out of you!
So, how do you navigate life? Perhaps this is a question you've never asked yourself...or maybe you explore and analyze your natural instincts regularly.
Amy joins us to talk about how the Kolbe A Index (which is NOT like any assessment you've ever done before!) helps us figure out our own method of operation.
"Kolbe’s four Action Modes are the modern breakthrough in understanding and explaining conation. Kathy Kolbe’s key insight was that everyone has a strength in how they operate in each of these Action Modes. Each person’s method of operation, or “MO,” is their strength in that area.
Your conative mind contains the instincts and innate attributes that define your natural method of operation (MO). When you work in your natural style, you are more productive, more comfortable and more successful. We identify people’s instinctive strengths, explain them, analyze how they align with tasks and other people, and offer practical solutions for putting them into practice — from doing better in a job, to team performance, to personal relationships.

Today we are joined by Dr. Todd Snyder, Psy.D to talk about how to get more out of our productivity (personally and in our business).
If you were asked to double your productivity tomorrow - could you? Often times when we look at our life, or our business, we wish for 'more' but don't have a clear idea of what that will mean in terms of pressure-testing the systems we have in place.
Bottlenecks are a major cause of productivity loss and, essentially are a backup of work (or things we want to do) that can't get done because we don't have the time/capability to do it.
Dr. Snyder helps us understand why these bottlenecks happen and what to do about them - part of which means understanding what we want and having very clear goals so that we can work on the things that matter most.

Today we are joined by Akeem Gardner to talk about why we all need to stop trying to be perfect in our business.
When it comes to entrepreneurship, business ownership, and our growth in general, the mistakes that we make and the failures that come with those mistakes are SO important for our learning.
If we never try, never fail, and never make a mistake - then we will never learn anything new about our business or ourselves.
It's so important to learn from our mistakes and apply those learnings as we move forward in life - something that can be looked at as a very positive process.

Today we are discussing how to Get More out of the rejection process with a positive mindset - and, more importantly, recognizing the difference between the situation and your view of it.
It's no secret that many people are out of work globally, and we are seeing more and more conversations happen around the topic of rejection and how to handle it.
We are joined by Natsune Oki, Author of The Game of Self Domination, The 15 Most Practical Steps To Self-Mastery And Achieving Anything You Want, and she shares how we can shift our mindset when it comes to rejection (in all areas of our life).
At the end of the day, rejection is simply the reflection of a situation and another person's decision - it's NOT a reflection on you as an individual so it's important to recognize the difference between the two.
Developing a positive mindset and stepping away from emotional attachments to outcomes is the first step in handling rejection effectively; it also helps us recognize (and visualize) what we want in our life.

Today we are discussing what original content will do for you/your business online!
Joined by Jeff Mendelson of Effectivo.Social we dive into the importance of having a digital footprint and letting Google know who you are, what you do, and where you live!
Jeff gives us an excellent example of what happens if you don't have an online presence and illustrates how invisible you and your business really are when there is no information about you online (even if you are literally sitting outside your doors!).
The importance of having a digital footprint today can not be overstated and for those of you relying on foot-traffic, or local communities supporting you, even THIS can be a 'hope and pray' strategy.
Creating original content not only builds your digital footprint, but it allows you and your business to be 'seen' by anyone in the area.

It's so important to understand why shareholder & employee agreements are crucial for your business!
Just like a pre-nup agreement, or a will, or even your insurance, writing things down and having all parties agree to it will save you so many headaches and so much MONEY and anxiety if the time ever comes that you need to refer to it.
Today we are joined again by Sam Micahels, JD, the founder of SM Legal and he is highlighting for us WHY we need to get things down in writing so that everyone involved has less stress or anxiety over what steps to take in the event that they find themselves in a situation where it's needed.
Think of your shareholder or employee agreements like a roadmap... it helps you see the path.
And for those thinking that, "well I'll just go to court and fight it"...Sam walks us through why a judge does not want to be involved in your corporate affairs so you'd better get things in writing to begin with.
Do it right the first time, because you won't have time to do it over.

Have you paused for a moment to consider who may be setting the standards for the future? Will it be you, or someone else?
Let's talk about how to Get More Out of Your Mindset!
In today's episode we are joined by Coach Dean Brown, founder of My Personal Reality, and we are talking about goal setting, your mindset, and the effects of what you do NOW leading to new standards in the future.
Dean points out that our minds can lie to us and make us think that things are one way, when in fact they are another reality all together.
We discuss:
Obstacles and why we need to look past them for the truth in a situation
Patterns that get us into problems and why new patterns get us out
Setting bigger goals so that we can achieve more
Not to be afraid of our ideas but to embrace them!
Law of Attraction in the real world

We are joined by Dr. Chetachi Egwu, Ph.D. today to talk about how (and why) we can do bettER with our content creation, as individuals, as organizations and as brands.
We also dive into WHY you need to create content, and why those that start doing it will reap the rewards, while those that continue to hesitate will be left behind.
The need to create content today - especially during the lockdown - is more critical than ever if you want your voice heard.
Getting your voice, your message, and your insights online will only serve to help you establish that thought leadership and allow others to FIND YOU when we are not able to network together physically.
Creating content and adding your voice online is no longer a 'nice to have' but a must-do if you want to craft a sustainable business now, and into the future.

Deborah Olatunji is the author of Unleashing Your Innovative Genius: High School Redesigned and today we are sitting down to ask her about what inspired her to write this book while still in high school.
Deborah notes that, "Education has been stationary for the past two centuries. The impact of not preparing students for lives beyond their academics is hurting our communities."
As a high schooler with a passion for education reform, author Deborah Olatunji realized two key things: you learn better when you are engaged with the material and when you can find a way to interact with it in an experiential way.
Unleashing Your Innovative Genius has been written to help students take charge and boldly advocate for the much-needed changes.
It is a book about reshaping how YOU view education and learning how to redesign it in a way that you can thrive and achieve.
Grab your copy of the book here: https://amzn.to/31Pokfr
About Deborah:
Deborah Olatunji is a writer, award-winning poet, activist, public speaker, and author of Unleashing Your Innovative Genius: High School Redesigned. Deborah, a seventeen-year-old high school senior from New Castle, Delaware, is intensely passionate about being an igniter and catalytic force in the education system. As the founder of the Student Leadership Initiative Program (SLIP), she and her peers help other high school students to navigate their interests and passions through this mentorship-fueled social venture. Deborah is also a board member for a youth-driven, New York-based non-profit organization called GripTape; its mission is to provide youth decision-making control over what and how they learn and the resources to do so. Deborah has written Unleashing Your Innovative Genius because of her strong desire for students to realize and actualize their power to transform education. In her spare time, she loves to have impromptu photo shoots in interesting places and watches The Daily Show with Trevor Noah on a regular basis.

Today we are talking about rebuilding routines in this new normal (during the COVID pandemic) and discussing why perfection is the enemy of progress.
Many of us feel like progress and productivity are important but we tend to associate progress with movement; just like a rocking chair is moving but not making progress, this is true of some of the things we do too!
In fact, Miriam states that our psychological version of the rocking chair is worry!
Worry can make us feel like we are 'doing something' but in fact we are simply standing still and not progressing.
In this episode we discuss a number of things like getting enough sleep, going outside, drinking enough water and how to redefine what we think 'being productive' actually means.

Sam Michaels is back again to talk to us about June's legal updates on being laid off during COVID, rent assistance for businesses or landlords as well as general direction on when you should call a lawyer.
It's no secret that the government has been putting programs in place to help businesses that have been hit by the COVID pandemic, yet many are finding it difficult to access funds when they need it.
We even see some businesses trying to strong-arm other businesses into doing what they want BEFORE they apply for relief programs (which Sam gets into in this episode!).
We also see some updates to the Employment Standards Act (in Ontario) which outlines what employers can, and cannot, do when it comes to layoffs or terminations as related to COVID.

Here is a question we all hesitate to ask ourselves: Does your money make sense? In this episode it's time to talk finances with Tracey Bissett!
We discuss money, knowing where you stand financially so that you can make good decisions, and why we shouldn't be afraid to talk about our finances.
The more you know about your situation, the more likely you are to develop a solid plan to move forward and the less likely you are to feel stressed, anxious and depressed (Tracey points out how money stress affects all areas of our life).
We also touch on the all-important question of the moment: should this year’s graduates go to college, or take a gap year?
Tracey has some great advice that is applicable pre-COVID and right now during the shutdown.
She has also provided us with a few FREE resources that you can use to get your finances back on track and ensure that your money does make sense! Links below.

Today we are joined by Dr. Errin Weisman to talk about physician burnout and well-being and whether or not you should quit medicine.
Dr. Errin states that, "statistics show that physicians will burn out at least twice in their careers. I know some doctors who have burned out six or seven times. Many, many doctors burn out and then leave medicine behind altogether."
If you are a physician, then you will want to tune in to this episode because Dr. Errin has been where you are!
She knows what it feels like to be crispy and burned out and asking yourself, "should I quit!?" after all the years of education, residency, work, time, effort....is this really it?
Luckily, the answer is...probably not?
Dr. Errin can help you discover what you are passionate about, help you reignite the fire that brought you to the field in the first place, as well as show you how you can do medicine YOUR way - not the way other's think you should be doing it.
As a Physician Life Coach, podcaster, and active practitioner, Dr. Errin can light up the path for you.

It's the HR leadership today (and into the future) that will dictate which organizations are going to come out on TOP and which will not.
We are joined by Peter Lombard, Founder of Globe Guides and he sits down with us to discuss the expectations of human resources, how they are pivoting and evolving, and why THEY are the business leaders that are shaping organizations for the future of work.
A lot of things are 'dumped' onto HR when other leaders in the organization don't have a clear vision of who should be doing what...
You name it... it's usually HR that is asked to take care of it.
Which is why HR is so important right now during the COVID crisis, work from home mandates, and the future of work.
Listen in as Peter talks about what is looked like before to plan employee engagement, team building, incentive, and retreat events, and what it may look like moving forward.

We are joined again by nurse, and General Manager of Ellerca Health Corp., Daniel Yeboah, to discuss what type 2 diabetics and their family members can do each day, especially as we are living through the COVID pandemic.
In this episode we cover the importance of checking in with those who have a chronic disease, talk about the family members and support system for those that are diabetic (and how it affects them) and what you can do to stay connected and mentally positive each day.
And for those of us in Canada, the importance of getting outside (safely) while we can! :-)

In this episode we are joined by Christine Robenalt, Owner of Sweetpea Pediatric Wellness, and she talks to us about the importance of being in a calm and alert state in order to be effective listeners and learners.
Each of us is born with our ‘natural nature’ and some of us are naturally a little more anxious, or shy, or curious and no amount of pushing will help us push against that natural state.
Which is why, especially as parents, it’s important to recognize the differences between how our children like to learn and interact so that we can help them show up at their best.
Christine also shares with us that we have TEN senses! We certainly didn’t realize that there were more than the five we are all taught as kids, so this conversation was especially enlightening for us!

In this episode we are joined by Chris DT Gordon and he is speaking to us about how to move from merely surviving day-to-day into positively striving each and every day.
Chris has an incredible story to tell that started with a small scrape in his garage, into an experience that changed his life forever.
Many of us are experiencing difficult times right now, but just like any difficult time before this, at some point we need to make a decision about whether or not we are going to stay stuck in 'surviving' mode, or take action and start to thrive and strive!
As a special education teacher, Chris knows a LOT about overcoming challenges, and now he understands it at a very personal level.
His story is inspiring, he's hilarious to listen to, and is nothing if not incredibly motivating to listen to!

Today we are joined by Dr. Vibe, host and producer of the award winning Dr. Vibe Show, and his advice is, "don't be afraid to ASK for what you want in life"! When you have a growth mindset, and aren't afraid to go after the things you want to achieve, then you are more likely to achieve them.
In this episode Dr. Vibe talks about how he saw something he wanted, and wasn't afraid to ask for it and how you can do the same thing!
When you have a growth mindset it means that you are open to new things, willing to learn, and are thankful when you get there.
He shares about his background, his childhood, his family and his achievements - inspiring others to simply start by asking.
About Dr. Vibe:

Today we're talking about the business leader mindset and why you should go ALL IN on your strengths (and forget those weaknesses)... for the sake of your mental health, and the health of your business.
We are joined by Alex Kuhn, founder of Vault Team and Born to Lead and he is here to share his insights on why we should rethink how we look at our weaknesses, and what we should do about leveraging those strengths.
So many of us are taught, and told, that we need to work on our weaknesses as much as possible in order to become more 'well-rounded' and 'balanced' individuals.
But....why!?
Why can't we simply forget our weaknesses and focus on our strengths?
As leaders, the example we set for our teams, organizations, and communities MATTER, so when we figure out how to focus on the goals we want to achieve, and resist the urge to get sidetracked (or discouraged, or disappointed, or feel like giving up!) we can make a true and lasting impact.
Alex and his team work specifically with entrepreneurs and business owners that are looking to make the shift and start hitting the $20k per month mark!

Daniel and his team focus on bringing healthcare, mental health support, and access to patients with Type 2 diabetes across the country.

Today we have lawyer Sam Michaels back talk about reduced hours, unemployment & breaking contracts - more specifically, what's allowed and what isn't?
Due to the COVID pandemic, many businesses and employees have been forced to make a lot of changes, some of which resulting in cancelled contracts, modified work and even the reduction of hours.
But can we simply 'change' an agreement because of the COVID shutdown?
In some cases yes... in a lot of cases...it's complicated! There isn't a lot of RECENT precedent to go on and in some cases, we are looking back to the time of WW2 to figure out how to handle things today.
The bottom line, it's complicated!
If you have any employment law questions, contract law questions, or general advice, please reach out to Sam directly so that he can speak to you about your own situation.

So what DOES the office look like in this new normal, and why do we think that we will go back to communal offices when the lockdown's are lifted? Is work in an office over? What does the post-COVID office look like?
In today's episode Nicole and Laura are looking at what the 'new normal' will look like if we continue to try and replicate our work environments of the past, instead of taking ownership of what's in front of us and moving forward.
While remote work is not for every role, and every industry, it sure does make sense for a large portion of the workforce.
So why is it that some leaders do not want to take ownership for the decision to make a change, and instead they want to spend large amounts of time and money trying to make the 'old way of working' work?
Today we are asking: "What if you can't return to an office ever again, what's your next step?"

Val Jones joins us today to talk about how to keep going when you want to quit, and her simple advice: "Don't be a quitter!" :-)
Many of us feel like we want to quit right now - quit working, quit school, quit parenting (ha!) even for just a little while so that we can start to feel good again.
However, as Val points out, the more we give in to that feeling of quitting, the easier and easier it becomes to quit anytime we are presented with a challenge.
So now is the time to practice sticking with it, taking one small step at a time during change, and moving towards more of what you want, instead of running away from things that may be a little difficult.
Val's story is an exceptional one of change, challenge and choice, and her insights to how your mind affects what matters is truly exceptional.

What does Animal Crossing have to do with our mental health? Apparently a lot!
Right now we are all trying to cope, as best we can, with the anxiety and stress of a global pandemic.
When we have the ability to decompress (positively) through hobbies and play, we give our minds the healthy break it needs to recoup and recover so that it can tackle the challenges of the day.
That said, it's also important to recognize that boundaries are IMPORTANT so that our hobbies don't take over our lives and lead to some serious procrastination.
So let's talk about Animal Crossing as a way to boost our mental health!

Today we are joined by Samuel Michaels, a lawyer based in Toronto Ontario, Canada and he is answering questions like "Can you refuse to work?", "What about hiring employees back after layoff...do you HAVE to?" and "what are we allowed to do in general??".
Many of us are wondering how to approach the current shutdown, especially when it comes to our employees, the needs of the business and what will happen if we do have to let people go.
On the flip side, we have employees asking if they are allowed to refuse to work if they don't feel safe in the workplace due to the pandemic.
While most situations are context-specific, Sam does a great job helping us understand a few basics, and even gives out his personal number if you have questions!
So if you're wondering whether or not you are obligated to hire employees back after laying them off, or if you are an employee wondering whether or not you have the right to refuse to return to work, then Sam is who you need to speak to.

This episode is especially powerful because Ryan has figured out a way to incorporate accountability, mindset, mental health, and values into his business.

Here is a big question: how are you taking responsibility for your time during the quarantine?
Today we are discussing responsibility, accountability and how our thoughts lead to our beliefs, and those beliefs can lead to our behaviours.
Accountability and mental health have a lot to do with each other, and our ability to foster a strong sense of self, our self esteem and belief in our ability to make it through difficult situations.
Once you recognize that you are able to change your thoughts, then you will be able to change how you react to this challenging time!

Right now we are all dealing with new routines, virtual schools, our jobs and unexpected change, all at the SAME time.
Our routines have been disrupted, our support systems as we know them have been taken away, and everyone from kindergarten to retirement is trying to navigate this new normal.
One important thing to recognize, and understand, is that we all process and deal with these changes differently.
There isn't a 'One Size Fits All' solution to adapting to the strange environment we find ourselves in.
Today we are joined by Emily Melious, the Founder and CEO of Launch Consulting LLC and she works with individuals of all ages as they transition through change.
The excellent insights provided by Emily help us to see that we don't have to do things how we used to do them, it's ok that we all have different needs, and we can absolutely get through this change with the right insights and mindset.

For many of us, we have been forced into facing our fears in business, judgement online, sales, change and our limiting beliefs.
We fear judgement online and for simply showing up and talking about what we do best.
We're afraid of sales during crisis and question whether or not it's 'OK' to offer our products and services while people are adapting to change.
We have serious limiting beliefs around what's possible and what we can do to affect positive change and those beliefs fall squarely onto our jobs and businesses.
So what do we do about it!?
Today we are joined by Julia Katsivo, an award winning Holistic Business Coach, Forbes contributor and international speaker. She is helping us understand all of these fears and what we can do about them!

Are consultants still doing business? YES they are, in fact $400k packages, $600k packages and more are being agreed to as we speak.
Why? It's because these service providers, and the businesses they serve, understand the value attached to each commitment.
In today's episode we are joined by Samantha Hartley of Enlightened Marketing and she specializes in business growth for business consultants.
We also talk about business risk and how business owners (entrepreneurs) handle the unknown, which is a BIG factor in today's COVID pandemic landscape.

We're all experiencing anxiety about money, our health and what to expect in the future, but we're also afraid to talk about it.
Why are we still afraid to talk about mental health, especially at work? Is there still a stigma attached to it? How are we talking about it and how are we ensuring that our employees feel supported?
In today's episode we dive into these topics and much more with our special guest Mandi J. Buckner, a workplace mental health professional.
Now, more than ever, we have the opportunity to really take a look at how we can survive the current situation we are in (globally) and move towards thriving!

What can we do when we feel anxious or stressed, especially now during the COVID crisis?

How entrepreneurs can protect their income and gain peace of mind with insurance, isn't something that we think of right away.
Traditionally, insurance is something that you use to protect yourself, "at some point".
We imagine that insurance is too expensive, that it won't bring peace of mind, and that it will be another expense that we simply can't add on just yet.
Luckily, today's guest Alaeddine Jabri, from Longevity Achieved, explains why (and how) insurance protection makes sense for entrepreneurs... and he has the math to prove it!
Join us for an excellent discussion about how entrepreneurs can leverage insurance to protect their income, and why it can provide that peace of mind, and protection, that we are all looking for.

The psychology behind what we eat can be fascinating and eye-opening once we take a moment to consider it, and understand it.
It's also important to pay attention to our nutrition during the quarantine and staying healthy, because it's can be VERY easy to indulge all day every day in our favourite comfort foods.
Understanding our own coping methods (and the ones passed down to us from our families) can be an important step in developing a healthy relationship with your food.

We're having more and more conversations about parenting during quarantine and many are finding it difficult to balance all of the new factors that go into it.
Anxiety can present itself as anger for both adults and kids, and now that we're all in close quarters for prolonged periods of time it can be a challenge.
Should you have time limits for kids on computers? How about video games? Should you establish new routines so that everyone has a sense of stability?
All of these topics and more are covered in today's episode with Sonomi Tanaka, a registered psychotherapist that specializes in working with children and their families.

Small and mid-sized businesses are the backbone of the economy, and unfortunately some entrepreneurs are killing their businesses in an effort to be "nice".
During the current COVID crisis it has turned the entire world upside down and as a result we need to focus on the entrepreneurial mindset and how it links up with the likelihood of coming out the other side successfully.
And as you will find in today's episode with Linsday McMurray, there is absolutely such a thing as entrepreneurial poverty! Something he is devoting his time and expertise towards solving.

It's no secret that anyone that is a parent with school-aged children at home are facing very full days, a lot of frustration and no downtime.
This is especially true for the parents of special needs children because the crisis has prevented any type of respite care for parents.
Top this off with routines that are disrupted and a lot of unanswered questions, and it can be difficult to know how to talk to our kids about COVID-19 and how to prevent placing our fears onto our kids.
In today's episode Laura and Nicole talk to Rhonda Hatrick from the Geneva Centre for Autism about the parents and children that are facing additional challenges during this health crisis.

So here are two big questions: should you spy on your employees at home, and why do we hoard supplies in a crisis?!
And yes, the two are related.
There is a reason why we hoard supplies in times of a crisis and it's been happening for ever. Did you know that it happened during the Spanish Flu?
Hoarding supplies and discussing whether or not you should spy on your employees is actually connected in ways that we don't consider, which is why we're talking about it today.
Laura and Nicole are joined by Miriam Ibrahim, and with a Masters in Counselling Psychology she helps us understand our behaviours during a crisis, provides helpful information on how we can stay mentally healthy, as well as what leaders can do to keep employees engaged during their time as remote workers.
