Summer summarizes the genealogy in Matthew 1 and tells the story of God's grace, showing how He redeemed people despite their failures. How the bible ultimately leads to Jesus, who embodied grace by humbling Himself to save us. God is stirring a fresh hunger across His Church. Mary, the Mother of Jesus, is celebrated as a central figure in Christianity, particularly as "Theotokos" (Mother of God), a title affirming that she gave Jesus His humanity while His divinity remained eternal. Her willingness to lay down her life in obedience to God's will mirrors Jesus' ultimate act of vulnerability and love through the Incarnation, illustrating how God became human to dwell among and save His people, offering a profound exchange of love and sacrifice. Alex explains the concept of "influence" today when it's often associated with social media and fame, but true influence, whether online or offline, should be rooted in wisdom, humility, and discernment, especially in relation to what we consume and who we follow. As Christians, we are called not to seek fame or worldly influence, but to follow Jesus' example, rejecting the enemy's counterfeit offers, and being an example of Christ's love, wisdom, and humility in the world. Caleb describes that in the Bible, ordinary tools like tent pegs, staffs, and jawbones are used by God's people to achieve extraordinary victories. Further illustrating that God's power, not human strength, leads to triumph. This pattern reminds us that even in our weakness, God can use what seems ordinary in our lives to accomplish miraculous purposes, and ultimately, His Kingdom will triumph over worldly powers. In this message, Pastor Levi Marychurch draws our attention to what came after the resurrection of Christ and before the Acts of the Apostles began. In this sermon, we are reminded of the story of the valley of dry bones from Ezekiel 37 and the burnt stones from Nehemiah 4. Ben talks about how we often try to discard or conceal the burnt stones and dry bones in our own lives. He reminds us that instead of getting rid of them, we should offer them up to be restored by the Father and used for his good.
In her message Jonah: More Than a Fish Story, Pastor Nadia Marychurch takes us through the hard truths, tragedies, and lessons from the book of Jonah. Nadia invites us to look at the book of Jonah in a satirical, relatable and convicting way as she explores this tale of a prophet who ran from God - instead of to him - because he thought he had a better plan.
This week, Pastor Levi Marchurch’s message entitled “The Sound of Rain” centers around the promise of rain for Elijah and his people in 1 Kings 18:41-46. The story reminds us that even after many years of drought, Elijah never ceased to believe in the promise for rain.
We have all been caught in a heavy rainstorm at least once in our lives and not been prepared for it. However, what if you knew about a rainstorm way before it was going to happen? If so, you would have had plenty of time to prepare your umbrella and raincoat. Levi speaks about living in preparation to receive the downpour of God’s presence, that we come in anticipation and appreciation of his grace.
This Valentine’s Day, Pastor Jadyn Duff shares a story of God’s love and our purpose. The story begins with a loving God paying the ultimate price for our redemption (John 3:16). Jadyn also highlights God’s expectations that we’re to continually move forward despite our past mistakes and become ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jadyn offers three important mindsets to carry forward as we reflect on the great care and attention God took when he designed us to serve the needs of others.
This week, Pastor Levi Marychurch’s message “Time to Dream” focuses on the dreams of Abraham and his ancestors in Genesis 12. This week, Liberté City’s Mike Humphrey and Caleb Groeneweg conclude our Worst Case Scenario series. Using the early life of David (1 Samuel 17) as an example, Mike illustrates how we, too, can lean into God when we face trouble. We can stand on the promises He has given us, and allow Him to sustain us. Mike urges all of us to seek the Lord to get fresh revelation of the unique call and promises He has for our lives through prayer and wise counsel.
Caleb uses the story of Elisha and the King of Aram (2 Kings 6:8) to encourage us to inject a Heavenly perspective into our earthly situations. He gives us practical steps to do so, including: turning to Jesus first when we feel heavy burdens surrounding us; being open to a fresh perspective and new way of thinking; and fixing our eyes on where we want to go.
Pastor Nadia Marychurch continues our Worst Case Scenario series with a powerful message about taking hold of our thought patterns in order to experience victory and breakthrough in our lives. Drawing from a variety of scripture and using vivid illustrations, Nadia shows us how vital it is to humble ourselves and persevere in being transformed by the renewing of our minds. He introduces Colossians 3:1-3 as the series scripture and strategy to overcoming our human tendency to imagine the worst-case scenario. In this third installment of The Beginners Guide to Prayer, Allicia Bankuti shares about prayer as a relational tool in her sermon entitled "Two Way Communication."
Allicia uses radio lingo to describe having a conservational prayer life with God, and how we can grow in both listening and talking to God on a regular basis. She also provides some helpful illustrations of how our body, soul and spirit are connected, explaining how pain and sin can hinder us from hearing the voice of our Heavenly Father. We are not meant to simply struggle through prayer, but rather to thrive as we make it a daily part of our lives. God desires a personal relationship with each of us, and prayer is a key to knowing His heart.
In our second week of The Beginners Guide to Prayer, Levi Marychurch delves into the many tensions that exist within the Christian walk. The Bible is filled with oxymorons, where God is fire and water, He is all man and all God, He is the beginning and the end.
Prayer should be approached with the perspective that we are called to be oxymorons of living stones as described in 1 Peter 2:5. Our prayer lives, like living stones, should be natural, honest, persistent and authoritative - where we embody the oxymoron of being strong yet free following.

We conclude our Psalm 23 series with a message from Morgan McCracken entitled “God’s Perspective > My Perspective.” Drawing from David’s experiences in Psalm 22, we discover that we can find comfort in the darkest moments of life through reliance on God. When we are faced with difficult and confusing circumstances, this psalm reminds us that God’s intention is to look after us.
Morgan reminds us to step back and see things from God’s perspective. We can have peace in all circumstances knowing God has our best interest in mind. In the midst of life, we are encouraged to let go and give our situation over to God. He knows what we need, where we are headed and He has prepared a home for us here.
This Sunday, Pastor Levi Marychurch shares in the lead up to Thanksgiving on living a life of thankfulness. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” While these words may seem daunting, Levi provides some practical steps to introduce thankfulness into our daily lives.
We are encouraged to reflect on God’s goodness in the highs and lows of life, acknowledging the bad but rejoicing the good. Thankfulness has the power to add value to what we appreciate. It shifts our perspective to find the silver lining. We are challenged to not only appreciate what we have but to celebrate it. To carry a spirit of thanksgiving with us wherever we go, in whatever we do.
We continue our series on Psalm 23 this week exploring the characteristics of God as revealed throughout this passage. Following on from last week’s message, Jaydn Duff explains how these four characteristics assist us in different stages of our Christian journey.

Luis Gonzalez takes us on a journey through the Bible exploring the origins of our faith. Through realigning our perspective we are able to spiritualize the secular, bringing God into the ordinary moments of life. We are encouraged by this message to break these boxes in order to access the life of freedom God desires for us. In doing so, we can live a 24/7 Christianity in which our faith flows into every area of our life telling the story of God in whatever we do.

In Luke 2:42, Mary and Joseph leave Jesus behind in Jerusalem, an act that we can find ourselves doing also. When we leave the house of God we can often feel as though we are walking with Him when the reality is that we’ve left him at church or forgotten Him in the busy-ness.

Luke 2:52 says “Jesus grew in stature and wisdom, in favor with God, and man.” By looking to Jesus’s example of growth we see the simplicity in 24/7 Christianity is that it’s about daily growth in these 3 areas – wisdom, favor with God, and with man. We take God into our everyday through our intentionality around personal development, through inviting Him into the simple moments, and through the way we love others. He doesn’t want any more or any less, so would you join us in living a life of worship.

Jesus didn’t just come to save whoever was lost, but Matthew 18:11 says that "for the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.” Implying that maybe He came to save something else. God is looking for our faithfulness, and our devotion. A life consecrated to Him.

Put yourself in the place of one of the disciples. You’re witness to the most remarkable period in human history. You’ve seen miracles performed, lives changed, and eternities impacted. Then, Jesus leaves. Immediately after, the disciples did something remarkable – they prayed. Jesus left them with a unifying goal – to reach people and to build the Church.
Pastor Levi Marychurch teaches on the early church from the book of Acts and shares three truths common to the early Church that are every bit as true today. First, the disciples were together – often. They stuck together, no matter the difficulty or danger. Second, they prayed. Prayer was fundamental to the early Church and it was birthed in prayer. We’re to be a hopeful people for what’s to come, and what might be; not fearful of the world around us. We’re to be an honourable people, that lay ourselves bare for Christ. And lastly, we’re to be holistic people, whereas Jesus is an all-encompassing influence in every part of our lives.
