He was a 17th round draft pick by the Houston Astros in 2011.He spent 7 seasons in minor league baseball, two of those with the Fresno Grizzlies. Leonard was a standout QB at Dos Palos just like his older brothers. He went on to play baseball for FCC and was an 8th rd. pick in 2004 by the Montreal Expos. Ep. 31 Features Head Coach of the Stanford Cardinal, Dave Esquer. Coach Esquer was kind enough to talk a with us. Coach talks about getting to Stanford, as a walk on, and winning the 1987 CWS. We also talk about moving on from professional baseball and becoming an assistant under legendary Coach Mark Marquess and later taking over the Cal baseball program and the fight to keep it alive. News of the local official's contracts not being finalized was Breaking News that seems to have been resolved....the officials are going to get the pay increase they asked for....but we ask if this could open the door for talks regarding coaching stipends? Coaches are paid far less than officials and spend 9 to 10 months a year with their specific programs. They go on to discuss multi-sport athletes, some MLB topics include the MLB game to take place at the Field of Dreams location, Will Clark #22 being retired by the Giants and should the numbers actually be retired? Kevin Kiermaier made a great play the other day and also made some statements one could consider questionable.
