We are forced to use limited resources wisely. A bootstrapped mentality can be easily lost if there is lots of funding available or as cashflow improves. It shouldn't be. Be frugal, maximise ROI.
There will always be people who say you won't succeed in your remarkable journey. Don't be influenced by opinion of others. If you are going to be then use their doubts as fuel for your internal fire.
How well do you know yourself, what you really want? So many people seem to drift unhappily without direction. Get to know yourself, what you really want; find out how you can get there. Then DO IT!

All start-ups are marathons with endless To Do's. It's all about the daily hustle and grind, always moving forward. Plus, turning negatives into positives, learning from mistakes.
Societal conditioning and dogma have a lot to answer for in limiting people's beliefs, minds and ambitions. Shatter the conditioning, lyse the dogma.
Sounds flippant but business is all about the people. As I am learning, successful leadership is all about people 'management'. Oh and don't let someday become yesterday without chasing your dreams.
In human medicine FOAMed is increasingly available, especially in Emergency and Critical Care. But there is a relative lack of vetFOAMed. Hopefully this will improve in time.
Where will life take you? It's cliche but we really do not know. Stay open to all possibilities and if you have any entrepreneurial inclinations, seriously consider scratching that itch.
Provide value, build relationships and see what goodness comes back to you. Plus leadership with consultation.
A classic example of a founder day. * How do we stop doing things someone else could do instead and possibly better? * Confidence does not equal competence. * And we must set sail but with purpose.
Without investment many startups would get nowhere; not all new businesses can bootstrap only. Investors are showing faith and belief in the project and we must not forget our responsibility to them.
Not just talking the talk but walking the walk. As a startup Founder you inspire others to buy into your vision often at some financial/emotional/other cost to themselves. Be sure to repay the trust.
Do you have a personal brand? Do you see the value in it? I think it is valuable for almost everyone in this day and age. Especially if you are not just focused on money but rather on serving others.
'Success' means different things to different people. Regardless, we are more likely to achieve it with a life plan, living proactively with intention - and lots of patience.
When unwell we need to power through but we also need to listen to our body and take our foot off the gas if needed. Start-ups are a marathon. We also need to learn to say "No" tough as that can be.
