One of the reasons we lack generosity as a people of God is because we are at war with a culture that is materialistic and self-indulgent. To consider giving to the kingdom of God seems like a waste of our wealth in light of what can be achieved in the here and now. But what does Jesus and the Bible say about holding riches in this age with this type of heart? Why does it matter? Let’s dive in.

"From Death to Life," is based on the remarkable account of the resurrection of Lazarus as recounted in John 11:38-46. This event was one of the most incredible miracles that Jesus performed, aside from his own resurrection. Through this story, we witness how God has the power to raise people from the dead, from beginning to end, it is His sovereign hand at work, awakening us to a new life with Him.
As spiritual leaders, there is a responsibility to guide God's people into a closer relationship with Him. However, what happens when leaders fail in this responsibility? In this passage, we see the key leaders in Israel plotting to kill Jesus, displaying their great propensity to push Christ out of the center of God's plan.
In the following sermon, we'll explore how Jesus' empathy and compassion for sinners can bring comfort and hope to our own struggles. By examining his humanity on display in John's Gospel, we can see how he identifies with our emotions and experiences, especially in times of grief and loss. In John 11:28-37, we witness Jesus weeping with those who are mourning, demonstrating his solidarity with us in our pain. This passage reminds us that we have a God who not only understands our struggles but is also faithful to listen to our prayers and comfort us in our times of need.

In the following sermon, we find Jesus comforting his beloved friends, by pointing to the hope of the resurrection and eternal life found in him alone. While we long and await the bodily resurrection, eternal life is already available here today, by the power of his Spirit. Can you recall the last time you were sick? The discomfort and anxiety over its consequences can easily dishearten us. In John 11:1-6, Jesus teaches his disciples that God permits us to experience periods of illness, tribulations, and pain for the Glory of God and His Son. While God may take His time in responding our prayers, He cultivates within us a spirit of patience during the most intense trials. In John 10:31-42, the Pharisees' efforts to stone Jesus for claiming divinity are met with a powerful defense from Jesus. He cites his miracles and the law as evidence of his divine nature, highlighting the unity between himself and the Father. This passage provides a model for believers in defending the divinity of Christ and challenges skeptics to encounter Jesus on his terms.

In the following sermon, we delve into the life of George Mueller, a man who truly exemplified the power of prayer through his unwavering faith and persistence before his heavenly Father. A.T. Pierson once said of Mueller, 'George Mueller believed, and because he believed, prayed; and praying, expected; and expecting, received.' We'll examine how Muller's faith and dedication to prayer can inspire our own practices of prayer and help us grow in faith as we pray in our everyday life.
Although there are numerous tools available to aid in our Bible reading, it is important to remember that true engagement with the text involves not just "hearing" the words, but also embracing a lifestyle of active participation in the Word. Unfortunately, we often treat the Bible as mere information in our minds, which is why after sometimes, it becomes dull and repetitive in our hearts. Check out the following sermon which outlines three fundamental, yet often overlooked principles for daily Bible engagement.
On the surface, spiritual disciplines appear to be nothing more than mundane behaviors or practices. However, it becomes clear that these disciplines are actually centered on the formation of ourselves as disciples of Jesus. Practices are formational tools towards Christlikeness. So then, what about fasting? The following sermon offers the occasions for fasting in the OT, as well as, the manner and motive Jesus gave his disciples in Matthew 9. What is it that makes God angry?

What is the mission of God? For many, missions is just an addendum to our ministries in the church, but the Bible is clear: missions is not an option, but it’s essential. The following sermon implores us assess its biblical definition and its impact in our lives.
Every person on this side of eternity longs for a personal relationship with God. In John 1:14-18, the Gospel writer tells us that Christ has come in the flesh for this very purpose. He did not come in the flesh only, but in Glory. It was the Glory of Christ that grated us free access to the Father in fulness of grace and truth.
Who is the most important person in your life? Who would you call the greatest? In John 1:19-28, we encounter John the Baptist’s confession of the nature of Christ. Our Lord is not only greater but worthy of everything we love and desire in this life.
Christ’s resurrection changes the course of lives today; we have gone from death to life through the declarative work of the resurrection.
Jesus did not come as a King according to the standards of this world. In fact, He came to bring a different type of peace than the one expected by those who welcomed Him into Jerusalem. In this Palm Sunday message we will see that Jesus was the King of the Cross and not the King of our desires. He came to bring the peace of reconciliation with God, through His sacrifice on the cross. He is the King of the Cross
How do we view our salvation? For many, God's act of salvation is the coming together of our will and God's grace. Yet, in Scripture, Salvation is a monergistic work of God, where God elects His beloved children and changes their identity and position before His presence. These are wonderful news! We have been born again into familial relationship with God. Text: John 1:6-13
The church was birthed in difficulty and trial, yet, through God's sovereign Hand, the church was resilient. How will we be resilient in light of all the unprecedented events taking place today? This sermon seeks to provide an encouragement to all of us that no matter what comes our way, Christ's church will prevail.
Why do we have a hard time trusting Jesus? In this sermon based on the John 1:1-5, we will see that Jesus is to trusted because He is not just our Savior, but He is Creator, sustainer, and God Himself. The reason we don't trust Christ and His cross is simply because we do not have a high view of His person, as the preexistent, Word of God. His eternality and Divinity compels us to trust him with complete surrender of our lives.

This is an introductory sermon surveying the original audience, context, and purpose of the Gospel of John. We will see that John's main purpose in writing His Gospel is not for people to simply believe in Christ, but to believe in such a way that we truly believe, with the wholeness of our affections, that He was the Son of God.
