What's up friends!! Today, my friend Payton Thomas joined us on Beyond the Moon and Stars to speak on our big and nasty mistakes! We talk about how these mistakes made us feel rotten and how the devil would take over, but most importantly, we talked about how God turns these graves into gardens and loves us through the lows and highs. You don't want to miss out. It's a good one. P.S. Check out Payton's podcast: I Started Listening
Welcome back y’all!!! Oh how I’ve missed doing this. Today my podcast is on body image and positivity. With social media, it is so difficult to not to compare ourselves to other people constantly—especially when we focus on everyone’s perfection, but our own flaws. In order to be fully fulfilled with ourselves, we must lean into God and understand that he has hand stitched us perfectly & made us his individual masterpiece.
No topic. No “guider.” No background music. Just me and my heart speaking. Short n’ sweet. I’ve had a rough few weeks, even beginning to lose my faith in God. Tonight I, alone, discuss what’s been on my heart most recently and what’s helped me on my road with christ. As no one’s relationship with Christ is perfect or ideal, I also ask for help or advice to draw even closer to him than I am now. The devil can continue to try and tear me from him, but I will fight for a better and closer relationship with Jesus Christ even through the bumpy roads.
This week I hit a pretty big milestone in my life, I went from an adolescent to an adult!!! Woohoo, finally on my own.....or so I thought. Tonight, my dad and I discussed the responsibility that my 18th year comes with and some things I should know about as I approach becoming more on my own! Hope you all enjoy.
In this episode, my dad and I discuss a problem that is currently in the air: the Black Lives Matter Movement. We have hesitated to upload this as it can go many ways, but we think it is important to use our platform and voice to create awareness for our brothers and sisters by discussing our personal perspectives. We both stand with people of color— yet, we do not agree that the looting and rioting should be apart of this movement, we will continue to educate ourselves about everything going on so that we can use our voices to create a change. What’s going on in our world right now is scary and disheartening, our hearts go out to those who are scared and confused. For those who can, continue to share your knowledge and love. Together, we can create change. Love always & keep shining.
In this episode, my dad and I dive into our own perspectives on social media. We discuss the apps we use most often and our journey with them (how we used them before vs how we use them now). We also talk about the pressure of followers, likes, and much more. This one gets juicy, you don’t want to miss out.
In this episode, I share my journey with mental illness. I have suffered from depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations throughout the past year and a half.....talking about this and putting it out to the public was nowhere near easy, however if I can help one person who is suffering through any of these illnesses, my goal will be accomplished. Any mental illness is hard to deal with, it takes over our life like no other, and everyone’s experience is different. I hope mine will encourage others to accept their illness and work to get back to who you were before. Remember that you are never alone and your problems are never to big for God to handle. Lean on loved ones during this time and work to make you a better you!! If I got through it, so can you💛
This episode is full of new adventures! I discuss my next steps in life and plans for College, along with some barriers that may come along with all of it. You don’t want to miss it....
With the worldwide virus spreading across our nation, many of us are stuck inside our home with nothing but our family and our own thoughts; in this episode we will discuss how it has impacted our family and how we have turned to God during this time.
