We pre-recorded today's conversation with Niki Cales from Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce to talk about the organization's upcoming events.

Niki gave us the details for the New Teacher Reception that will return as an "in-person" event this year on August 4, 2021 from Noon - 2pm. She explained the importance of this event and we talked about the marketing value for local businesses to participate either as sponsors or by offering things for the swag bags that will be given to the ~60 teachers who will be in attendance.

We got an update on the new business consulting services currently offered through the chamber thanks to CARES funding monies provided by the Town of Front Royal. Niki told us about several of the types of businesses that Herb has been meeting with and talked about all the different options for seeking advice & guidance that he can provide. She reminded us that you do NOT have to be a chamber member in order to take advantage of these free sessions.

We also talked about the chamber's Leadership Program which will finish the final 3 classes that they missed during the pandemic. Niki told how how the program works, gave us some insight into who should consider participating and announced the new class will start in October.

Niki also explained the process to date for the town's consideration of special event permitting. She told us about two public meetings that will take place in the coming week for businesses, residents, and non-profits to participate by asking questions and obtaining information about the process thus far.
