We pre-recorded today's episode of Tourism Tuesday - Shenandoah County edition - IN PERSON with Kary Haun from Shenandoah County Tourism. Kary suggested we finally leave our homes/Zoom screens and record the show in-person and off-site from the radio station. We met up at Shenandoah Vineyards to chat with Ivy Haines, Marketing Manager about the history of the vineyard and how COVID-19 has impacted their business throughout the various stages of re-opening. We talked about the different grapes/wines they offer at the vineyard and Ivy explained why the Shenandoah Valley - and Shenandoah County in particular - are conducive for grape-growing. She also told us about their future plans of offering live music & food trucks as well as hosting events. We wrapped up the show as we always do with Kary giving us a quick run-down about some upcoming events such as the Rt.11 Yard Crawl - that at the time of airing is still planning to take place.
