Kevin Korgba is a Nigerian living in the UK who joins us today to discuss the I in Leadership from an African Perspective. As an advocate for real snd sustainable development in Africa, he believes that Africa’s future hinges on holistic education and transformational leadership. He also plans to embark on his Ph.D., focusing on a thesis of servant leadership in the context of community and societal development in Africa. He is an author, as well as a John Maxwell certified leadership speaker, trainer, and coach who has won many awards.
Today, Kevin shares his mission. He talks about the situation in Africa and explains why its problems require the twofold solution of mindset and infrastructure. He discusses Africa as a power culture and lists the five levels of leadership. He talks about the leader’s need to develop others and stresses the importance of intentionality. He notes that our leaders come from among us, and he explains the responsibility implications of this fact. He notes that the cornerstone of any society is the family, and he emphasizes the power of diverse collaboration and team effort. He also notes that, in times of crisis, it’s crucial to keep moving forward.
