Why do people have conflict? All sorts of things can lead to an unkind word or action that sparks passionate responses. But you may be surprised to hear that healthy teams aren’t afraid of conflict, and conflict leads to innovation.
Today, I talk about how to argue well within your team. I note the importance of hating the sin, not the sinner. I note that, win or lose, you’re all in the same boat. I also explain why you should focus on the work and move on once the argument is over. I note that conflict is inevitable and that the best thing is to get through it as quickly as possible. I also point out that this information is relevant at home as well as at work.
